Casual blazer
A nice casual blazer for summer. The skinny lapels and unstructured fit meant that it worked best loose and open. I tried it out buttoned, but it was sloppy looking that way and not proportioned right for a woman's body. Open, though, it was great.

It's a poncho
Thought this would be good for a plane ride, but it's too heavy. From the photo I thought it had sleeves, but it is really just an open-front poncho you can button with a single button under each of the arms. While I love the look of wrap ponchos and long to wear them, on me they kind of just look like I'm a slob who couldn't find a coat and wrapped herself in an afghan from the back of the sofa to run down to the bodega. As ponchos go, though, it's a classy one, so if you can wear them you'll love it.

Pretty blue! Odd Sizing.
I tried this first in a large, but I was swimming in it. But I loved the color, the fabric, and the neckline, so I rented again in a medium. The medium was tight around the shoulders and upper arms - where I'm smallest - and it was big around the hips and middle - where I'm biggest. Kind of wish I had kept the large and just rolled with it. The medium was really unflattering.

Lovely slimming silk
This is very flattering. It skims curves but still has a structured looking shape. The blue is very pretty. It is super lightweight- definitely a warm weather dress. Loved it. Two cautions - it is very low cut. Because the V neck is narrow but deep, I thought it was okay for work anyway. Second, the cut at the shoulders and neck is not very forgiving. I think that if you have broader shoulders or a larger chest it may not lay properly.

Pros and cons as a plane sweater
I got this to wear on the plane and as an outer layer to a cool-weather vacation. It is comfortable and very cool looking, but I needed it to be more versatile. I could only wear it open like a duster. It doesn't fasten, and I could not figure out how to make a cowl neck with the buttons the way another poster did.

Fit and flare chambray
The silhouette was very fit and flare. I enjoyed it. It's knee length on me, but the full skirt and lightweight fabric kind of made it feel like a shorter skirt. I guess because it lets in a nice healthy breeze around the knees.

Pretty - for cool weather
Didn't wear this because it's 90 bleeping degrees this week, and this dress was very heavy and fully lined. I did try it on, however, and it was pretty - well fitting and a nice cobalt blue. It's a bit on the formal side and would work best for evening or a day when you have to give a presentation at work.

A lot of dress
I am 5'7" and medium build, but this was completely overwhelming on my frame. It's really pretty, and I think a taller person would look amazing. But the length, the tiers, the print, the volume - in the end, the dress wore me.

Great for hot days
Very light fabric and airy fit. Great for hot weather. The neckline is professional and not too revealing. Same with the skirt slit. It is navy, not black. The drawstring waist ties at one side, but you can only cinch it a little bit. It seems like it's meant to be worn more loose.

Nice easy dress
This is a pretty indigo denim, heavy but soft. You pull in a lot of fabric at the drawstring, but it comes off in a flattering way. Liked it!

Breezy
Loved this. The waistband is flattering and it hides a gut really well. A low heel helped the proportions for me - this works better with more height. It is very lightweight and will work for hot summer days. There are very long strings on the back zipper. They are handy for getting out of the dress but impossible to tie and really get in the way.

I may regret not buying this to keep. It's on the formal side, but I've gained some weight recently, and it was still super flattering. Even with the skit in the back, there is room to wear a normal bra.

Lightweight, nice detail stitching
Loved the pattern and the stitching around the yoke. The shoulder seams didn't stay put - they wanted to slide forward and backwards, so I was tugging on this a lot. It was fairly short. The fabric is very lightweight, so it is best for warm days.

Chic smock
This fits a lot like a smock - a big square of fabric with a neck hole in it. The sash makes the waist and is what covers up your sides. There is also a band of fabric lower down that encircles your waist on the inside of the smock. It looked really good! It is on the longer and looser side, but very flattering. I wore with jeans, but you could make this work with patterned pants or skirt. It wrinkles like the devil.

Very long
This was lightweight and nice to wear. It is very long with a fairly high neckline, which makes for a long, unbroken expanse of solid, dark color between the collar and the bottom hem. I thought that made it come off Iike I was bloated and bummed out and trying to hide in my clothes. If that's how you feel today, rent this top.

Nice at 1/5 the price
This is a very nice silk crepe, but how it retails for $990 is a complete mystery to me. Maybe there were $100 bills rolled up in the seams somewhere? Anyway, it's very long in the torso, fits with plenty of room, and does not come down too low at the bust. A solid work top.

Just a wee bit costumey
The waistband falls across my ribs and fit very snug. The sleeve cuffs also fall right around the elbow but are narrow and can catch around your bicep. It was cut low but not too low. However, I needed dress tape to keep the top from falling away from my chest. I liked the look of this dress, but it is a wee-bit un-serious for work. This would probably be better for an outdoor wedding. It kind of says "lusty Depression-era farm widow" or maybe "juke-joint floozy." Also has silver threads throughout, which make it kind of dressy.

low-key flattering
I really liked this. It was a great weekend dress to look nonchalant but classy. The slit does come up high, and the back is slit, so it is a great summer dress, but not for work. The fit is slightly oversize with the ties to give it some shape.

Not flattering
I did not wear this. While the material was thick and stretchy, with some of the rubbery feel of scuba fabric, it reminded me of a latex glove with how it looked on. Every bra line or underwear line was sharply outlined, but then there was extra fabric around the middle that wrinkled sharply. It was just a real no. The color was pretty, though, and the cut and length were perfect for the office.

Pretty but lots of fabric
I liked the pretty, true-indigo color of this denim skirt and the way the color contrast worked with the pleating. It was quite snug at the waist, and unfortunately it puts a lot of stiff, heavy fabric over the hips. I think it will be a bit hard to pull off, for many people.

One of my favorite rentals
This does not look like much in the pictures, but it is one of my all-time favorite rentals in almost two years. It is very flattering on and does "oversize" in a lovely, put-together way. It does not wrinkle, and I really like the unusual color, which is somewhere between terracotta and clay. I would buy this to wear all the time, if it were cheaper.

Very simple wrap
This is a very simple wrap, like a sarong. If you untie the waist tie and unbutton the one button, you can fold it out into one big rectangle. That makes it boxy, but in a cool way that I enjoyed. You just have to balance the proportions. I think this skirt will be good either on people with no curves or people with enough curves to force a shape. It could be trickier for people in between.

The cut of the armholes did not work for me. They are cut almost like a batwing, which you can't see from the photos. The fabric on the torso also ballooned out stiffly, away from my body. It didn't lie or drape at all. The cotton was both stiff and weightless. It looked like a paper bag on.

Nice spring color
These were a good springtime color and nice ankle pants. They are a bit wide through the leg. They picked up some creases at the waist and hips as the day went on and didn't look as crisp after a few hours. I would probably wear this on a day when I planned to mostly stand.
