Great fabric!

Love Derek Lam silk! This top was no exception - very sturdy, yet lightweight. The fit was perfect. It doesn't get 5 starts only because I felt that the print fell a little flat (kind of meh/boring), and the sleeves were a real pain and got in the way of everything.

Beautiful!

Great everyday work bag! Leather very supple - almost slouchy, which may be an issue as it wears, since leather softens. I have a bag organizer/insert that I use for all my totes which fits perfectly (and adds some structure), so I'm not too concerned about the slouchiness. The color is more greenish/blue than the photo - which I actually like. I took pictures of the inside (without my insert, of course) to show all the pockets. Four phone-sized pockets and a zippered pocket on the inside, and a very large snap-close pocket on the outside that can easily fit an iPad and/or a thick book. The lining is a very soft velvety material. Has four cleats on the bottom so the leather doesn't get dirty if you have to put it on the floor. This will be a great bag to mix things up for the commute! Wish I could afford to keep it!

Flowy, lovely dress

I'm between a 4 and an 8 depending on the designer (36B, 5'3", 125, curvy but fit). Haven't rented Parker before, but based on other reviews I tried the S, and it fits beautifully. I often worry that dresses/tops will pull at the chest and across the back, but this one didn't at all. Love the flowy-ness of the dress. VERY bright red - definitely makes a statement. Rented for a post-Valentine's day date night with husband. He loved it. Note that the description says 100% polyester, but parts of the dress are actually 100% silk. Wish I had a photo!

Beautiful material, fun pattern, LOW cut.

I'm between a 4 and a 6, but only the 4 was available so I gave it a shot. Unfortunately, the 4 was just the teensiest bit too snug in the chest. I could have gotten away with it for date night, but definitely not for work, as it's very low cut (peephole button). I'm a 36C, and the button at the front was pulling just a little bit too much. Not noticeable perhaps, but enough for me to not want to push it. The fabric is delicious - heavy but not too heavy, and the cut of the dress (other than the low cut front) fits beautifully over curves. Will rent again when the 6 is available!

LOVE LOVE LOVE !!!

LOVE this dress! Compliments all over the place. SUPER comfortable. Lightweight, flowy, feminine. I've worn to work, out to dinner, for Thanksgiving, for an evening event...I do not want to give this dress up! Seriously considering buying it, despite the fact that it's so expensive. I'm generally a 6, but the 4 fit better - does run a little large. Comes with a navy slip, but can be worn with just about any slip (but definitely needs a slip, as it's very sheer). The bell sleeves have a bit of elastic, which keeps them from falling into your soup, a great touch for someone klutzy like me. I was hesitant, because it looks sort of shapeless on the model, but in reality it's super flowy, so looks great on. Because it's not form-fitting, I think it would look great on nearly any figure. Keep in mind that the dress is a pull-over - no zips or closures, so if you have very wide shoulders don't size down (because all the reviews say to size down). Oh, forgot to mention (re my klutzy self): this dress is easy to clean. Dare I say in public that I spilled wine on it...it didn't show much because the fabric is so dark and lightweight. But since I want to keep it for a while, I soaked it in cold water and a little Woolite for 5 minutes and hung to dry. It dried in less than an hour, and the stain came out completely. No shrinkage, no ironing. This is really an EASY dress, for sure! The only drawback is the price.

Nice fit, but nothing special.

The dress fit well, and fell nicely, etc. But it just didn't "wow" me. The lace details were interesting, but so prevalent in ready-to-wear, that this just felt like some dress I could have picked up at Marshall's or Macy's or something. It was fine for the occasion, but probably won't rent again when there are so many other unique and show-stopping options on RTR!

Meh. But comfy.

Probably one of the most comfortable dresses I've ever worn. Heavy, but not too. I wore it on a cool day and needed a sweater, but the navy in the dress is very dark, almost black - so hard to match with anything. I think any body type would look good in this dress. Glad I rented it, but in the end, it just didn't "wow" me.

Beautiful cut - but itchy itchy!

Pros: Beautiful cut, fun and flouncy. Very flattering. I could probably have gone with a small, but the medium was very comfortable (fit-wise). Con: Only one: ITCHY as hell! I don't normally have a problem with wool sweaters, but this was super scratchy. Maybe it was just the dry cleaning that made it so rough, but couldn't wear it longer than it took to take the picture. Maybe if it were hand washed in Woolite - but I wouldn't dare with a rental. Too bad, because this would otherwise be a fabulous fall/winter staple! Looked amazing with my Frye boots. So sad to return. Note on color: My photo is super dark (sorry) - but the color is a rusty-burgundy, not as bright/berry-colored as the model photo.

Strange Fit. Beautiful fabric. Love top.

What a WEIRD dress! It's two pieces: a spaghetti strap, dropped-waist, ruffled skirt dress with a separate loose fitting button-down shirt. Looks just like the pix of other reviews and the model. BUT- the cut of the dress is SO off! It's got what I think is supposed to be a dropped waist, so that it looks like a flapper dress. But the band at the dropped waist is too small to fit comfortably over the hips. I'm not particularly "hippy", but I do have feminine curves. This dress rode up in the back, and made it bunch up on the top making it very awkward and uncomfortable. The straps kept falling off my shoulders. I originally rented a size 4 (that's all they had at the time, otherwise I'd have rented a 6 based on other reviews). It was definitely too small, and the dropped waist sat at the top of my hips making the skirt super short - as in, WAY too short to wear in public (I'm only 5'3"). Rented it in size 8 (thinking I should skip a size after the 4 being so small) - but still too small on bottom, while the top part of the dress was too large. All around weird cut. Pix are of the size 8. If you have a straight/narrow frame, then this dress probably runs true to size. If you have an hourglass figure, then the dress will just frustrate you. HOWEVER - the shirt part of the dress combo is fabulous. I've worn it with jeans and with a navy pencil skirt (in photo). Keeping it for now just for the shirt, it's that great. The shirt gets five stars. The dress gets 1 star just because of the fit - hence the overall 3 stars. Just a note on color: The dress and the shirt have a different base navy color - they don't match -the shirt is a darker navy than the dress.

Cute dress for work or daytime event

Rented this for a trip I was taking. Ordered the Medium and the Small as a backup. Unfortunately, the Medium came with a missing button right at the widest part of the back where it stresses when you move your arms forward. I could have worn the small, but it pulled across the back (and, well, you know, I might have popped a button like the person before me did with the Medium). Also, there are no pockets. It's a very simple dress, and loose around the waist and hips - no reason a dress like this couldn't have in-seam pockets. That said, the material is very nice - heavy-ish (not too), and with a tad bit of stretch. Really beautiful color - not a super dark navy. If you don't have wide shoulders, and don't mind no pockets, then this is a great dress for a casual occasion (dinner out, family reunion, bridal shower, etc).

Adds a touch of class to jeans!

Really liked this jacket, very flattering cut. Runs a little small across the shoulders - couldn't zip it without creating uni-boob. But I think even if I'd rented a size up (or two) it's not really meant to be worn zipped up. Looks great with jeans as well as a pencil skirt. Would rent again.

Statement!

Love love love this collar/necklace! I own a similar style made of turquoise. I wore this to work twice, once with the DVF dress in this photo, the other time with a white button down shirt and navy blaze and jeans. People have stopped me on the street to comment on it! May even purchase it. Take note, it's a collar so if you have a larger neck or don't like the feeling of something around your neck then this might not be for you.

Lightweight and short!

I've got mixed feelings on this one. In its favor: super super lightweight and comfortable. Could even be worn on a hot day the fabric is so light. I got compliments all day long that is was cute, fun, flirty, etc. Cons: it's really short- I'm 5'3 and it's short enough that if I raise my arms or bend over you can practically see my underwear. Because it's so thin, it's a little see-through in the skirt part when you stand in the light. It comes with a slip, but the slip is almost useless as it's made of t-shirt material and is form fitting so sticks to the dress which makes it ride up. Also no pockets, a dress this loose has no reason not to have pockets. Overall I like it for everyday, but it's too short for the office. Will be keeping for a few weeks, but definitely not worth the $230 price tag to buy.

Snug!

Rented a size 6 based on the other reviews. I'm 5'3", 125lbs (at my highest), 36C. While this dress was super cute (husband loved it), and the silk was light and flowy, it was way too restricting in the torso and back. I couldn't raise my arms in it (had to get help zipping it up because of that). But the worst was that I felt like I had a wide belt pulled tight across my ribcage, couldn't breathe deeply. I didn't wear it to work, because I don't think I could have lasted more than 20 Minutes in it. A size 8 would likely be better, but my guess is that it would take a 10 to make it comfortable enough to wear all day. But a 10 would be ridiculously large everywhere else. As it was, the sleeves on the 6 were a tad long. This dress probably is best for straight and narrow body types, who have really small ribcages. Had high hopes based on the great reviews. :-(

Too poofy.

Based on other reviews and photos I hoped this top would be a neat alternative to a standard button-down. Maybe it's better on taller, narrower frames? I ordered a Small (I'm 5'3", 36C), and while it fit in all the right places - across the bust, back, armholes - and was comfortable, I looked (maybe more like "felt") like an oompa-loompa. I think if this had been a $40 find at Marshalls I may have bought it - but I know myself well enough that I'd probably only have worn it once. Too bad!

Cute even for shorties like me!

This is an update to my previous review - I rented a size up (6) from my original order (4). DEFINITELY better fit in the waist. As I, and others have said they're high-waisted and snug. Again - I'm exactly 29" around the smallest part of my waist, where they hit, and a size 6 is perfect. Comfortable to sit, and even have a full tummy after lunch. I've discovered through trial and error with my Unlimited subscription, that I definitely have to size up from what I'm used to. I'm short-waisted which makes my boobs look a little large (for my liking) with pants like this, so I won't be wearing them again. But they were fun, and I'm glad I tried them. Original review: They're super cute, and I was surprised at how great they look on a 5'3" frame! Unfortunately, the waist runs VERY small on these culottes. They're high-waisted, and everything fit perfectly....except for the waist. I'm currently about 29" on a full stomach at my natural (smallest part of my) waistline. The size 4 zipped up all the way and comfortably, but there was no way on God's earth I was able to hook the top closure. I'd have ordered a size 6 if it had been available, and maybe will do so in the future when it becomes available - but from the other reviews didn't think the size 4 would have been as ridiculously narrow as it was! For reference, yesterday I bought a pair of Banana Republic Blake Fit cropped pants in a size 4 and they fit beautifully. They sit a little lower on the waist than these Tibi culottes do, but not much. I'm consistently a 27 in jeans in most brands, So I'm not totally in denial about my size. These do run VERY small in the unusually high waist. But they otherwise get a full 4 stars for the look and quality of the pant- super cute, super versatile. Heavy fabric, so not great for warmer weather, but really fun.

Great everyday piece!

Love the cut and embroidered print on this jacket. It's super lightweight, and would be great as a light coverup for summer evenings. Like the small details such as the eyelet stripes and the little ties in the back. The zipper is super hard to use, I think I saw this in some other reviews. It's not too small to zip up, it's just that the zipper catches and gets stuck. But it looks better open anyway. A little narrow in the shoulders so I'd size up if you're unsure. It' gets only 4 stars because of the zipper, otherwise a really fun jacket to add some interest to jeans and t-shirt.

Classy and quality top

Beautiful top. Much heavier fabric than expected - would be too heavy to wear in summer heat, but perfect for transitional weather. I'm 5'3" and 36C and it draped well and was very comfortable. Low cut, but not too low. Unfortunately, the color made me look totally washed out and had to return without wearing.

Sexy! But not right for a holiday party

I somehow thought this dress would look great for my husband's upcoming company holiday party. It is super sexy, very comfortable, very flattering in all the right places! All the other positive reviews are on spot. It's perfect for a bride after-party (as many other reviewers have done), or a summer formal party - even for New Year's Eve. Will definitely rent again...for the right occasion. Kudos to RTR for exchanging the dress in time for the Christmas party. Easy-peasy!

Great Dress!

Wish I had a photo - the night went by too quickly. So in addition to the hight/weight/bra size info, my measurements are: 38/31/38. I'm nice and squishy in all the right places (and also in some places I wish weren't so squishy). I would say I'm on average a size 6 - but depending on the make I can be anywhere from a 2 to a 10. (don't you HATE women's sizing.?) I ordered a size 4 based on the reviews of other women my size/hight/weight, and a 6 as a backup. The 4 fit great - but as others have said, the arm holes were very tight so I couldn't zip or unzip on my own. Since I was attending an event alone, and my husband wouldn't be home to help me out before hand, I went with the 6, which I could zip up myself. The lace hem of the dress came just above my knees - a good length. It didn't ride up on me, and was very comfortable. The dress I wore had some obvious repairs to the under-arms because the lace must have ripped (remember, the tight arm holes?) - but it was nothing anyone would have noticed unless they had their face up in my armpit, which wasn't likely to happen. I got lots of compliments on the dress, and my husband, especially, loved it. First time renting with RTR. I live in New England - ordered the dress on a Tuesday, and it arrived on Wednesday morning for my Thursday event! Put everything back in the packaging it came in and dropped it off at my local UPS store. Easy Peasy. Will definitely be renting again with RTR. Ladies - PLEASE give as much info on your body size/type as possible - it really does help us all to make a better size choice! I give it 4 out of 5 stars because the dress was a little worn looking (only up close).
