Cute...on the hanger
Love the color and belt feature, but even with sizing up (which I normally do for Black Halo), the arms and hips were super tight and the bust was big. Not sure who this dress was made for, but obviously not for me.

Great style, great quality
I always tend to size up for Nicole Miller dresses and am glad I did with this one. It was extremely fitted but the ruching was a nice touch to add texture and offset the tightness of the dress. I did notice the bunching in the back around the zipper made it a bit uncomfortable when seated against the back of a chair (or in my car) but a simple adjustment was all it took to fix. Definitely recommend!

Gorgeous and high quality
Hadn't rented from this designer before so opted to size up just in case. Wish I didn't as it was too big in the upper half but I managed to hide it with a blazer. Very heavy, thick, quality dress with great detail. Received many compliments and look forward to renting more from this designer - definitely true to size. Hit just above my knee and I'm 5'10.

Oh So Tight.
Sadly sending back and worn. This is where super tight plus soft floral just doesn't work. The dress was extremely tight in the hip area, enough so that I wasn't comfortable wearing it. Pretty, but just doesn't work.

Always a stunner
I sized up based on other reviews but don't think it was necessary. This is always going to be one of those sausage-casing dresses which is laughable putting on but then somehow works beyond expectations. Love this designer and this dress!

This is an incredibly gorgeous and high quality dress. I was worried with how wrinkled it was out of the bag that it would require a lot of effort but I lightly steamed the top portion and the rest was fine. The ruching and layering are a high class finish and the dress fit perfectly. I did size up and was glad I did as it was on the shorter side for me. Super short + super tight are not my jam. So well worth a wear or two. I will 100% rent again. Wish I could buy!

Gorgeous and very small
Sadly, I could zipper this dress and take small steps but knew it wouldn't be functional for a day at work. Everything was tight - from the bodice through the skirt. Wish I would have sized up, the dress is gorgeous and beautifully made.

One of those short arm length but worth it items
There are many designers who equate small and extra small with short people and I either find my wrists or too much thigh revealed, much to my dismay. This jacket is adorable and warm (almost too warm for an Arizona winter day) and I wore it with a black top and black pants and loved the look. There are several clasps on the front to close the jacket but any move and they open right up. Worth renting? Sure. Just have the right expectations.

XS + Extra long body = unwearable
I find, at times, that small sizes in dresses mean MUCH shorter length than larger sizes and this dress is the perfect example. I could have worn it as a shirt. Gorgeous lace and high quality material, but if you are small and tall, forgettaboutit.

Simple and classy
Gorgeous dress with heavy, stretchy fabric that likely accommodates a large chest, but I wouldn't know. It definitely accentuates your waist and while it is on the shorter side for us tall ladies, the skirt drapes well while seated. Definitely recommend!

This is seriously the cutest dress ever and the pattern is better in person. I opted for the small (4) and I have to say I feel like I could have Incredible Hulked it. My shoulders felt limited and the back felt really tight as well. However, I had to continuously readjust the wrap to cover my *modest* chest so if you are large on top, they will have ample exposure. The skirt is gorgeous and hung perfectly, which seems to be the very best part of this rental experience.

UGH. Yes, I read the reviews, saw the pics and decided to size up and hope that perhaps it will work for me. IT SO DID NOT. Baggy up top, so tight below I couldn't pull it over my hips. I'm perplexed. It doesn't make sense. I am not clear who this would work for, and why such a cute dress is so tragically wrong.

There is hope, but size accordingly
I was SO EXCITED to wear this dress but like you, I fear the new dresses that have no reviews. I opted to size up to accommodate my hips as some 2s don't seem to fit me all that great in the waist/backside. Unfortunately, it was very large, everywhere. From the chest to the waist and skirt - it made the lining pucker in random places which greatly diminished the look of the dress and made me a bit sad overall to not have had the stellar experience this dress seems capable of. My advice: size down, and for backup, size down again.

And received tons of compliments. It is a spectacular dress, fitted in the chest and waist (big bosums beware) and the skirt has enough of a flair that it isn't fitted but extremely complimentary to my wide hips. Quality detail and so fun to wear, if you're on the fence, use this as your nudge and rent it now!

Preppy Spring Must!
If my husband and Kate Spade sat down to design a dress, this would be the outcome. Super cute, super preppy, excellent Spring dress. It does run large in the waist and for me it hit right at/slightly above the knee. I wish it wasn't wrinkly but the pattern helps diminish a wrinkly look. Absolutely adorable and worth renting!

I also rented the long sleeve black version and can not say enough amazing things about this designer/top. The quality, the fit, the uniqueness of the sleeve, the way it elongates your neck and exposes just enough of the shoulder to be somewhat sexy and extremely classy. It's perfection, it's an absolute favorite. I would buy if I felt spending that much on a top was justified, but I'll settle for renting again!

quality Spring dress
The dress is excellent! It is very non-negotiable fabric so there isn't a lot of give and while I could pull it up (it seemed to sit better when I pulled it up vs down), it was with extreme care. I received a lot of compliments and liked the ruching in front and back as the extra fabric helped create some additional maneuvering with the unforgiving fabric. Definitely would recommend this one.

Simple and stunning
My husband selected this dress from my short list for our event. I was thrilled to read the length for the long version would allow me to wear heels. The dress was high quality and I loved the way the ruffle draped. Wish I would have sized down though, as it was large in the waist. Still very beautiful and fun to wear.

Amazingly comfortable!
Having rented several gorgeous tops recently, I had the mindset that high fashion comes with its challenges (mainly awkward repositioning, painful undergarments of lack thereof) but THIS TOP defies all of that AND looks amazing. Its gorgeous color, beautiful fabric and eye-catching uniqueness on top of the fact that it stayed perfectly in place and was so comfortable should put it on the top of your list to wear ASAP!

Comfortable and fun
I loved it so much I bought it! This isn't one of those super fancy, super expensive dresses on RTR but it's absolutely adorable, functional and fun to wear. (And affordable, should you choose to buy like I did!) I paired it with boots and a jean jacket. It's casual and trendy and love the addition to my permanent wardrobe. Rent you must!

This dress is a conversation-starter to say the least. Many compliments about the throwback stewardess look but overall the quality and fun ruffles made this totally worthwhile. I had room in the small to make this fitted dress very comfortable so I would say it is true to size. It is lined and perfect for Fall. At 5'10" it came an inch or two above my knees. Winner!

I was shocked at how washed out he colors were in this dress. I couldn't tell if it just needed to be retired or it was just the print. I sized up but wished I didn't because there was extra fabric around my midsection. Overall, not a favorite.

I wore this to work and a James Beard tasting and received many compliments. The fabric is very thin as others have mentioned but the flow of the skirt is amazing. It's fun to wear and not overly bold. Highly recommend!

Was nervous about renting based on other reviews but SO GLAD I did! I sized up and the dress fit perfectly, smoothing everything out and hugging every curve. Length was great for tall ladies. I didn't notice the lack of movement with my arms as others mentioned, it was comfortable and I received lots of compliments. Would definitely rent again.

Long ladies delight!
This dress as a regular runs very long. So long that on my 5'10" frame it touched the ground without shoes on. I wore 3" wedges and it was the perfect length. Nice opaque liner and beautiful piping, I wish I could keep this one forever!

A cold weather must have!
I rented this for our July Alaskan cruise and I'm so glad that I did. I first wore it during the day with a pair of ripped jeans and then changed into a pair of cropped leather pants in the evening. The fit was great even with my long arms and long torso. I found myself wearing it a few different ways as some have mentioned. It felt very versatile and not super constricting. Very sexy and feminine. I received so many compliments and my husband actually wanted to buy it. I'll definitely rent again and give my husband that very opportunity!

This is my favorite LBD!
I want to own this dress in the worst way. It fit perfectly and was so well designed, I didn't want to take it off. There is texture to the dress and the vertical stripes and asymmetrical cut make it unique and super classy. It is fitted with little give from the bodice to the hips with ample room in the skirt. It gathers a bit at the back when walking (I have hips) but it was easy to adjust. This is a must for anyone who is looking for a new take on a classic. I am smitten with Carven these days!

Not as flattering as I thought it would be

Great Spring Dress
So many people loved this dress, I wish I was one of them. Many compliments on it, but it was one of those that was tough/uncomfortable for me to wear. I have a long torso which likely contributes to this and I did size up per previous reviews but the fabric is unforgiving and I wasn't able to raise my arms with the cut of the dress. Perhaps best for someone not as tall?

Another favorite!
This was such a beautiful, well-made dress, I wish I could own it. I received tons of compliments - the dress hung well and the layers of ruffling were perfectly positioned and very flattering with the high neck line. I could have sized down but didn't mind the flow of the dress at all. You must rent!
