The dress was flattering, fun, sexy but classy and easy to move in!

Pros: Loved the lines on this dress - very flattering! The fabric is also thick enough to where I didn't feel the need to throw on the spanx.

Cons: My arms are a little bigger so I felt like I was pulling at the sleeves throughout the night so it wouldn't constrict them so much.  If you are nervous about the arms, I would size up.

This dress is everything I'd hoped it would be! Right length, perfect fit. 

I really liked this dress and got a ton of compliments. The black roping hides the problem spot. The sleeves also help hid the arms. The color is vibrant. I wore with nude heels and killed it :) Love RTR loyal customer since its conception and Nicole Miller is the best designer for women with curves :) 

The fit is perfect and flattering. It is perfect for a summer work dress. 

Great print, flattering. Wore for a charity event and felt like I was dressed appropriately as some people were in cocktail attire and some were business casual. Thick, very tight. It hit me around knee length so I did feel a little restricted in my movement. My only complaint is that around the tummy area, the pattern on the size 4 is a little darker, making it look like there was a shadow from my stomach bulging were there wasn't. I know this is minor, but it did irk me a little bit. Overall a great dress. 

both the 6 and 8 fit, but the 8 was more comfortable.   Many compliments on color and pattern and overall look.  I like the elegance of a knee length dress.

This dress was overnighted to me after my 1st choice was stained, and I loved it! Thanks Justine at customer service! The 2 was a great fit, but I had trouble zipping it up so I wore the 4, which also fit perfectly. It's a thick material, and good for cooler weather. I was comfortable all day in this dress and didn't need any accessories, as the dress speaks for itself! Another RTR hit!

Loved the fit and got tons of compliments at the wedding I wore it to. I typically wear a size 8 but decided to wear the smaller size because I wanted the dress to be more fitted so that it could hug my body better. And it worked out great!

I absolutely loved this dress! It definitely fits snug, but it's supposed to. The lines on the dress do wonders for your body and definitely create a slimming effect. I have a very large bust but slim legs, so often finding a dress that fits is a problem. But this dress was fantastic!

The dress is stretchy, so it's a little form fitting.  It a thick heavy material. There was a hole in the seam of the dress in the 6, but the 8 was too big . You couldn't see the gap in the seams. 

It is a very thick fabric. I was a little warm in the restaurant but comfortable outdoors.

I order the 4 and the 2 and wore the 2. the 4 was a good fit but the stomach area was baggy so I went with the 2 which was a little tight but manageable. the slight problem I had was only when pulling the dress back down after using the restroom, the liner wouldn't lay right like when I first pulled it up and would cause the slit in the back to not lay right. the material was stretchy and hugged my body good and it was also a little heavy (it was hot sitting in the sun) I have a smaller top and bigger/athletic hips 

I loved wearing this dress. It held everything in without need for Spanx. It was a little thicker than I would have liked for the weather, but once indoors worked out well.
I am tall and the dress hit perfectly at the knee to make it appropriate while the scoop neck line made it flattering and fun.

No need for a necklace since the pattern and cut would overwhelm it but chandelier earrings would look nice with it.

This dress looked amazing on, but it runs very very small.  I usually wear a 4, and I sized up to 6.  I probably could have gotten away with an 8.  The down side: because the fabric is so thick and stretched so tight, BOTH the 4 and 6 rentals I got had holes in them when they arrived...probably not noticeable without trying the dress on.  I ended up pinning the size 6 and wore it anyway.  This is a great dress but be prepared to do some outfit surgery!

Hi Dana! The split in the back was intentional and part of the design. You may find it a little annoying if you do a lot of dancing at the wedding. I didn't have any side-seam issues, but I could see why some people might if the dress was worn and dry-cleaned a lot. I didn't find it annoying to dance in, but I also don't dance a ton. I hope that helps. If you're similar to my height and weight, you could order the 4 as your backup and for extra dance-room. It wasn't outrageously big on me, but I am short-waisted, so the top part was loose in the shoulder and waist area. This is just something I deal with figure-wise, but most people probably won't.

P.S. look at both AB and Kathryn's pictures & reviews as well. They're similar height and weight, but it helps to see how the dress looks on people whose are the same measurements but whose weight distributes differently. Those were all things that helped me decide on choosing this dress. :)

Is it too tight to dance in?? I'm thinking of getting it for a wedding as well.  And the split you mention--is that supposed to be there in the design, or is it from wear and tear? Many of the reviews mention burst seams due to wear and tear. 

Wore this to an outdoor weekend wedding. This dress is stunning and fit like a glove. Gals, don't be afraid to wear this dress TIGHT; that's how it should fit. It is essentially a "wiggle" dress. I wore the 2; my backup - a 4 - technically "fit" me as well, but it had areas of loose gapping in the waist, neck, and shoulders. Bear that in mind when you order, and don't choose this if you're not comfortable wearing something body-hugging. However, if you love your shape (especially your hips and butt!) this dress will make you look and feel amazing.
Two notes: I did find that the zippers on both dresses were very worn. I think this is from constant dry cleaning. It wasn't bad, but when trying on both, I was a little nervous I might break them. (Thankfully, I didn't!) Also, another reviewer mentioned the split in the back. Yes, there is one, and it's attached fully to the lining of the dress. If you lift the dress to, say, use the restroom, you have to make sure to line it back up perfectly, or else the split will "curl". If you don't want to worry about fussing with the lining, this may not be a good choice for you. If I actually owned the dress, I'd probably cut the lining along the bottom so that it didn't pull on the split at all. It didn't bother me, but I read all the reviews here in detail, so I want to make sure to share that with the rest of you. 
The dress is very colorful, which I loved. I paired it with the Kate Spade Hot Pink Statement earrings, which looked made for it. 
In summary, I loved the dress and was sad to send it back. Numerous friends who saw pictures told me I needed to "buy that dress immediately because it makes you look amazing." That's a pretty ringing endorsement! This was also my first rental from RtR, and it was seamless from start to finish.

This dress is great and super comfortable.  It fits true to size, but is tight/slimming.  Think Herve Leger.  Definitely a dress if you want to highlight/like your overall shape.  

Such a great dress!! Will rent again! Excellent for hourglass curves; Showed a little cleavage and hugged every curve. I wore Spanx still since it's made to be tight. I Usually wear a 12 and it fit true to size. Fabric was very rich with great structure, very well made!  I got a ton of compliments! 

I picked this dress for a Hindu wedding ceremony, because practically everything I own is black and a few people out there on the internet said solid black might not be appropriate.  I'm so glad I went out of my comfort zone and rented this dress!  The cap sleeves and length made this totally appropriate to wear in the temple, while the tight fit and gorgeous design kept it fun.  Anyone who normally wears spanx or feels self-conscious in tight dresses shouldn't worry - the fabric is stretchy but also very thick, so you feel like any problem areas are held in.  This dress got a bunch of compliments and the multicolor design made it easy to accessorize.

It is a very tight fit. The fabric is incredibly stretchy but I definitely had to go a size up to 8 from my usual 6. Slimming and elegant fit with young bright colors! Perfect for a early spring afternoon wedding! 

This dress is amazing! The fit is so flattering and very slimming! I went a size down and I liked it better because it hugged my body in a flattering way that accentuated my curves. I got a lot of compliments on how good this dress looked, and I definitely plan on renting it again!

I rented this dress for a work party. The colors are great, the piping is dark navy not black. The material is super thick but stretchy.  I wore this at an April.  I would not recommend for summer event because the material was not breathable. Thankful for the stretch because my back up size of a 4 was not available so I squeezed into the 2.  The length, cap sleeves, and neckline made this appropriate for a work event. The slim fit and piping gave is a little sex appeal. I was sad to take it off at the end of the night!

This dress felt a little like a sausage casing, flattering, but a tad uncomfortable if you are wearing it all day.  It has some stretch to it and the material is thick.   

This dress was one of my favorites from RTR.  It had really vibrant colors and thick material.  It does hug your figure, but the material is forgiving (I was 12 weeks pregnant- with a little bump and could wear it!). TIP- get the Kendra Scott earrings to match- they look GREAT with this dress!

No complaints about this dress. I wanted something that would help me stand out at a work function and this dress is lovely.  Nicole Miller can do no wrong.  It does mush your boobs a bit, which didn't bother me, personally.  :) 

The trim on the dress was actually navy and not black. 

The dress was made of thicker material, which I liked because it gave it more structure. Gorgeous neckline and lines on the dress are flattering. The pattern is very colorful and unique. Overall, a great pick!

I ordered the 10 and the 8.  The 10 never showed and I am in between sizes right now so the 8 was a little snug for me , but would probably fir someone who is a true 8.  When I got it, the stitching on the sides of the hips and on the butt had holes in it.  Luckily there is a liner so no one saw my spanx.  I tried to sew it and deal with it because the dress is gorg.  I got so many compliments.  It has some stretch to it which is nice.  Side note:  The day after I wore this dress, I saw someone on Good Morning America wear the same dress!

This great was a last minute trade but I was very happy with it.  The fabric is thick, but lined & has a bit of stretch.  Combined with the pattern & flattering lines, this dress hid all the trouble areas while still hugging my curves in a flattering way - and I have a lot of curves! Since it was a last minute rental & probably few sizes, there was 2 small areas of gapping where the seam had busted along the hips - but nothing a few safety pins couldn't fix & nobody ever knew.  Had a ton of compliments all night.  And the customer service was great - throwing in a pair of earrings to complete the look since the backup size for my original choice was unavailable

The dress was very pretty. It was perfect for the Kentucky Derby themed gala I attended. The fit was very clingy which was good and bad.  It was good because no spanx were required, but bad because I needed an "extra" padded bra to wear underneath.  It was great to have the two sizes.  When, I first tried on the Size 2 (my normal size), it was so clingy. I thought that the Size 4 would be perfect.  However, when I tried on the 4 it was too big in the waist.

I wore this to my daughter's Senior Banquet. I ordered a 6 and an 8 because reviewers said it runs small. I usually wear a 4 or 6. The dress was lovely....great colors and very well made. The length was perfect too. Overall it's not a flattering dress. I did get tons of compliments on it but I am very thin but have a small amount of belly fat, and this dress somehow made me look a little wide in the tummy, almost like I was in my first trimester of pregnancy. I am happy I ordered it and wore it, but it bothered me that I had to keep pulling it down. I would not rent it again.

The dress was not as pictured in the description. The back of the dress on the website does not have a split in the back. However the one I received had a split. I thought this dress was the same as the Aqua Maze dress on Nicole Miller's website. The split started to curl inside as I walked. I received sizes 4 & 6. Normally I wear a size 4, maybe the dress is for someone with smaller hips than mine. The 6 did not fit as snugly as the 4 and still had the split curling issue. I do not recommend this dress if you have hips! 

Fits tight and rides up when you walk, but the material is like neoprene so it stretches. 
I wore it to work with pumps and a navy blazer (since I couldn't go to the event I planned to wear it at).
Worked for a day at the office, but would not have been professional enough for a more formal day (board meeting, presentation, etc).

This was my first time doing RTR and I was a bit nervous because I am petite with a larger chest (34DD). This dress was SO comfortable with stretchy material that allowed me to comfortably dance all night. The fabric is a bit thicker, but I liked that because it didn't feel like it was hugging or showing every curve.. it felt like it was actually holding me in and was just super comfy. Great colors and tons of compliments throughout the night!

This was a great dress for dinner with friends in Vegas. It seemed like it was cut for those with more curves and made it fit unevenly in the hip area for me.  Lots of compliments!

Dress fit well. True to size. Stretchy fabric allows for a tighter fit. Wore this dress to my graduation. Super comfortable dress.

The dress fits snug for sure. The fabric is so thick and well made that it does not look as tight as it feels. narrower hips and butt would be even less tight.  Fit great in upper body and arms, length great. The piping is a plum sort of chocolate color just for reference. Really like it, glad I rented. I liked it and had fun wearing it.

I want this dress.  I wore this to a bridal luncheon and got dozens of compliments.  Comfortable but quite snug.  I wouldn't recommend for dancing or lots of movement because the tight fit restricts.  It's definitely been worn several times, but not noticeable when on.  Loved and my hubby did too!  I'm a 32E and I could wear a normal bra!  Score!!

I loved this dress. It's impossible to capture the colors in photos. It is SO vibrant and just beautiful. It's definitely tight. The fabric is very thick and doesn't have much give. It rides up a little over the hips and I was tugging at it throughout the night, but other than that I had no complaints. I'm usually a pretty standard 10, but after reading the reviews decided to get the backup 12, and am very glad I did. The 10 fit okay, but it was reallyyy uncomfortably tight across my chest, so I went with the 12 for more breathing and moving room. I got so many compliments and people wondering where it was from. I meant to take a specific photo to post here for a better view of the fit, but forgot, so this overly posed one will have to do! Definitely recommend! 

This dress is gorgeous. The colors are vibrant and definitely make a statement. The dress is extremely tight, however. I have a large chest and the size 2 would not even go over my shoulders. Dress has no give but once on its on, beautiful!

I wore this dress to dinner and elected to size up to be more comfortable.  The dress is very well made and although the fabric is stretchy it stays in place very well.   I would have given this five stars but the zipper sticks and it is a bit hard to zip up or down.  Overall, I would recommend this dress to others.

This is definitely a stretchy, form fitting dress but conservative enough to be worn to work.  It's a good day-to-night dress as I had to attend an awards dinner right after work.  The ribbons are navy blue, not black as it appears on the model.  I had a hard time zipping it up near the ribbons.  It definitely sucks you in!  I got a 4 and 2 (as my backup) and wore the size 4 which felt fine but I think I probably would've been more comfortable in a 6 due to the thickness of the fabric.  If you have hips this dress definitely rides up.  I had to keep pulling it down.

Love this dress. I was skeptical but it's so much prettier in person. Color is so vibrant. The material is so thick and heavy that it's extremely flattering on my problem tummy. The cut, everything is awesome about it. Would definitely rent again. I was the best dressed at myhigh school reunion cocktail party & night out 

This dress was awesome because it's such a thick fabric that it helps to suck in the tummy area.  When walking, it really hikes up a lot so unfortunately I was pulling the dress down quite a bit.

Fits true to size, the material is very flattering and color/design hides any problem areas. Great colors, brings out your tan. Pro-can wear a regular bra, comfortable, can be dressed up or down.  No cons from me, definitely recommend!

I ordered this dress in sizes 2 & 4.  The 2 was definitely snug, so I thought the 4 would be the better fit.  When I tried on the 4, however, it felt even SMALLER!  When I took a better look, I could tell that it had been 'repaired' right down the seam making the skirt even tighter than the size 2.  Since I was pressed for time, I squeezed into the size 2 and received many complements, but because the material is very heavy and I was at an outdoor event in July - I would have really preferred the larger size for comfort.  

Dress is a very thick and stretchy material. It sucks you in better than spanx! I got a 4 and they did not have a size 6 in stock so I winged it and luckily it fit, however, for a looser fit I'm guessing a 6 probably would have worked as well. As a girl with curves, it was tighter in the hips, but still looked good due to the quality of the material!

Very fun and different dress. Fabric was a little stiff and it bunched up in the back at the seam, but overall a great rental.

Loved this rental. I rented it because people said that it runs large and I just had a baby. I'm usually a 10 but, am a 12 these days to accommodate for my "new body".  Fit like a glove with the perfect amount of stretch.  

The colors aren't as bright as the picture which is good given the intensity of the pattern. 



I'm tall. 5'10" and 145 pounds. I carry a little weight in my hips. As you can see in pic, this dress rode up like crazy!  I was either too hippy or too long so the hips hit too high. It was not my most favorite dress.  I wouldn't have bought it if I tried it on in a dressing room. Great for very straight women and not so tall. 

Beautiful vibrant colors. The material is heavy and tight but smooths everything out perfectly while remaining comfortable. So many compliments!!  I will be renting this one again!

I really loved the pattern of this dress, a nice change from a typical black cocktail dress. It fit like a glove...the fabric is quite tight but it sucked you all in, felt like there was built-in spanx which gave you confidence! I liked that I could wear a regular bra with it, it definitely is a very tight dress so was a little hard to move in while dancing but I felt great in it! One tip...you need some help going to the bathroom....after pulling my dress up I had to have my friend pull down the liner along with the dress every time to get it to lay flat or the slit in the back of the dress got warped. Other than that, loved it! I rented it with the Kendra Scott, Blazing Yellow Danielle Earrings to make it even more colorful! 

Very comfy dress. Super durable material with a lot of stretch. My only issue with it was the arms. I have larger upper arms so it did kind of dig into them if my arms were forward in anyway. But aside from that, I love everything about the dress.

Dress was smaller than I anticipated and fit strangely. If you have a long torso, choose another dress. The dress was pretty and good for my event, but I would not rent again. The dress also smelled funny, and had three large holes along both sides that I had to sew up before I could wear it! Not good

The fit was snug but in a good way. The length was perfect. I wore this for a bridal shower turned bachelorette party. It was perfect to make that transition from day to night! The colors really popped, and the pink shoes i wore made it come alive. I got a ton of compliments, would definitely recommend it.

It fit so well! I recently lost quite a bit of weight, so it was hard to figure what size I need, but it would say it's very true to size. I got SO many compliments! I felt so great in it I didn't want to take it off! It is a thicker material so if you'll be outdoors when it's hot it's probably not the best choice. It was skin tight on me, but I had no problem busting a move on the dance floor. I would absolutely recommend this dress!

I rented a few dresses to wear to a menswear stylist conference . I had to send the dresses to the hotel since it was last minute. Thankfully I did because the dress I brought with me had a hem come loose. I tried on This dress. At first I thought it wouldn't fit , but I squeezed in! I probably would have chosen a 6 but they didn't have it available . The dress sucks you in pretty nicely or at least it makes you feel that way. I have a toddler and my tummy doesn't always look so great but I felt it smoothed me out where I needed it and I felt great . Tomorrow I have another dress to try ... We shall see how that goes ! 

We had one night in Vegas designated as the "classy" night, so this is what I wore. I loved the bold pattern. A lot of people commented that the dress combined with the Kendra Scott Blazing Yellow Danielle Earrings looked very "Miami" but that is also fit for Vegas. The dress is pretty thick which means it is very structured. It held me in very well and the sleeves covered just the right amount of my arms to make them look slim. The teeny cap sleeves never work for me. The dress was a little tight but I still felt like I could move around. I did not feel any need to wear spanx under this dress because of the structure of the fabric, even though I normally would with a dress this shape. It was a little tight on my legs, but with the slit in the back, it was no problem to walk. This dress looks great with nude heels. The dark lines look black in pictures but are a really deep navy, so I didn't want to wear black shoes with the dress. I got so many compliments! I am already thinking about where I could wear this dress again because I loved it so much!

This dress is designed to fit snugly.  Once you accept that, you appreciate the snug fit.  Fabric is thick, but designs are beautiful.  

The material was definitely stretchy and held everything in. The one thing that I would caution, is for women with bigger butts. The slit in the back went up pretty high, and it got a little dangerous in the back region. However, the fit was sexy yet classy. Nicole Miller dresses are great for women with curves! 

Beautiful dress! Colors are really pretty and the material is very good quality. Thick enough that I didn't need to wear a bra. I ordered a 2 and 4, and honestly they both fit very similarly. I couldn't really tell a difference between them, but ended up wearing the 4 for a smidge more "breathing room." Loved it and would totally rent it again!
