i'd never heard of the brand, but fell in love with the plaid/animal print combo. it was perfect for cool nights (it's flannel) and gave my look a saucy edge. i found it ran a bit small across the bust; it JUST fit in the XS. a S would have done me better. nevertheless, i lived in it!

beautiful print
typical marni! inventive print with gorgeous colors, great cut, and comfy. i wore it to work over jeans with a thick sweater. i did size up from my recommended 36, and glad i did: i found that when i sat, the buttons in the front gaped a bit, which was kind of odd. maybe this was a function of pulling backwards when on the seat? never would have thought to pick up a tunic from under my butt so that would not happen; so, minus one star. otherwise, it was lovely and would work well in the warmer months, too.

too tight to wear!
i am so sad that this sweater is too tight to wear. the XS was my recommended size, so i chose that one (in addition to the S being unavailable). i could barely get it on! it is truly a shame because it is a beautiful knit with gorgeous stars. it is a soft wool, not that scratchy. i was hoping to wear it tomorrow to work, but alas.

feel cool and look pretty
i have worn this dress innumerable times since i have rented it! it is light (perfect for the heat) and the red and pink colors make it so eye-catching. i feel cool and look pretty each time i wear it! the hem is original, and gives the dress flowy movement when i walk. the armholes are a bit big (not huge); i wear pink or red bras only to disguise this as much as possible. i would not say this design is a negative, necessarily (though smaller armholes would have been a plus); just be aware!

gorgeous print, fabric feels nice and light, and good fit across a larger bust. however, even at 5'7, the back dragged on the floor. my highest heels did not solve the issue. i am sad to say that this dress has gone unworn: it is truly lovely.

flowing, flowery dress with cute bow
the dress is a nice silk, and has a gorgeous flower pattern in really pretty colors. great bow detail at the neck; taken together, these looked nice against the face. liked the sleeve length, which is between short and cap. the dress is MUCH longer and looser in person than on the model. i am a petite 5'7. i wore it under a long corduroy coat, and you could still see three inches of hem (no objections to this; just sayin' for my shorter sisters). i wouldn't describe the dress as baggy, but close to baggy/unflattering (minus 1 star for this). this one criticism aside, i popped it over skinny jeans and it never caught on the pockets, and it moved nicely when i walked.

winner! great fabric, perfect fit, love the gold details, and the sleeves have a neat ruching detail. hubby loved the dress on me, too. demure/sexy. FYI it was shorter on me (5'7) than it looks in the photos: if i raised my arms, i would put on a show, so i wore it over jeans, and it looked fab. comfy, too!

really cool dress with awesome stars!
i wore this dark-denim dress tunic-style over jeans, and got LOTS of compliments. it looked awesome. as others have commented, the fabric is stiff, so it is not forgiving: the buttons are a bit of a chore, which for me made it a turnoff to wear more than once (although i did love the dress and the look). also, because of the tough denim fabric, there is no give across the bust. if i plan to rent again (and i might), i will get the S and not the XS. that said, it is excellent quality. the stars are actually embroidered and not applique, which was nice to see in this era of fast fashion!

lovely print but too tight to wear
i was disappointed that this dress was too tight across the bust for me to wear. one button looked like it could blow at any moment. did not want to risk it. the fabric is good quality, and the color/print are really lovely; perfect for springtime. the smocking across the back and sides is a cool detail. i have a small frame and a 30E chest. i ordered a 0. a 2 probably would have been the way to go. oh well!

great piece for day or night!
i have been waiting for this necklace to come available for so long and i have worn it a ton since getting it. i love it with a plaid shirt and out for date night all fancy-like with hubby. it looks good with everything. not heavy or scratchy. it's well-maintained: all the pearls, etc. are there. you can adjust the length, too. really just love it. such a great accent to everything i have put it with. more of these, please!

conservative and sexy dress
i love everything about this dress. it is demure and sexy all at once. tiny key hole in the front, tea length, fabulous buffalo check, great fabric and well sewn. it comes in at the waist but it's not constricting. i felt so pretty wearing it! definitely more date night than desk to dinner, IMO, but maybe if you've got a lot of sass and a cool office you could get away with it. five out of five!

love the flowers
i wanted so much to rent this dress that i got the 2 instead of the 0. it was definitely too big. however, it fit well across the bust (30E) which makes me wonder how well i would have done in the 0. the rough-silk fabric is lovely, no static. the print is very sweet and the colors are so nice. i wore the dress for date night with my husband but i can see the dress being totally appropriate for the office, too (buttoned up). minus 1 star for busty girls having to beware!

gorgeous color and print
the others are right: the dress is light (seemed sheer) and has a billowing, large fit. i have a petite frame with big boobs, so it semi-worked for me. it is a lovely tomato red with a flower print; very vibrant. it also has a lot of static, so i wore it over jeans instead of tights. it gone by the end of the night. my thick sweater overtop tamed the billowing issue. i will probably rent again in spring/early summer, and pair with jean jacket (and pray it's not really sheer, after all).

a somewhat rock-star jacket
the jacket ran a little smaller on me than i expected, based on the other reviews i read. i ordered up a size, owing to other comments, to have a roomier jacket, but still found it to be a little snug across the chest. i also noticed the jacket looked best without much layering so it would not strain across the bust. the pink color is not as vibrant nor are the stars as dark as in the photo, but it is definitely a WOW piece and i felt mighty glam wearing it. i would say it's best for low-to mid-50s weather if you plan to walk around wearing it.

cute and warm
i had hoped to adore this sweater, but alas, it was SO BOXY around the armpit/chest area, not so much the torso. trying to stuff myself into a jacket was a chore. it's a shame because it was warm with such a great print, cute crop, and awesome cuffs. i got lots of compliments. maybe this sweater is best in fall, when you can get away with a sweater only.

fahbulous everyday coat
i lived in this jacket while i had it! it was so much fun to wear, and was warmer than i expected—good for the upper 40s in NYC. it definitely gave a cool touch to any outfit i put on (never looked better while walking the dog in the morning). although it was true to size, the small had some give to it (jacket is boxy but not unflattering) so i could wear a heavier layer underneath. if i did not already own too much outwear, i would buy this jacket in a flash!

this dress was an utter hit. i took it with me to the tropics for vacation, where it was an utter steam bath. i was cool as could be, and the dress looked wonderful! the cotton is a dream, which is great because the length is midi. the arm holes are on the higher side but not uncomfortable. i have a large bust and there could have been a whisper more give in a perfect world, but it was fine: no strain or anything. the print is just gorgeous—even more beautiful in person than the photos. i also wore the dress in the city (tried it on the day it arrived and could not take it off!), and it did not look out of place.

unusual and beautiful dress!
i loved wearing this dress! the cut of the hem makes it really special (short in the front, long on the sides and back) and there's lots of swoosh with the extra material for some "wow," and the fabric is treated with something that makes it feel almost shellacked; really cool. the arm holes are maybe a bit high, but not uncomfortable, and there's no peekaboo with the bra straps (always a plus). i note that RTR should take a look at the zipper: it is a bit stiff, and there is a slight rip in the fabric at the base by the zipper on the dress i got, likely because of the stiffness. otherwise, total winner!

the photo doesn't do justice to this beautiful pink dress. it is loose and comfortable, the color is a show-stopper, with subtle cutouts in the back and sides that do not show bra! the material is heavy, so although perhaps it's challenging to wear in hotter weather, after a while in the air conditioning, it's really a good thing because you never freeze. that said, the thick, polyester fabric makes it unbreathable, and therefore, one of those dreaded "body odor" garments (y'all know what i'm talking about). despite being dry cleaned by RTR before it got to me, the dress wasn't freshened up. i could not wait to get it off for only that reason. so, minus one star for the funk.

these pants have a gorgeous print, and the quality of the material is heavy cotton, which is good. i found that the waist fit me perfectly, but strangely, the rise area was like a medium or a large, so disproportionate to the waist. it bagged in that area, and was super unflattering. hammer time, anyone? too bad!

boho chic and comfortable!
this dress is fabulous! i got it for everyday use, but i would absolutely wear it to somewhere glam. the fabric is luxe, and the print and colors are beautiful. there are also pockets (who doesn't love pockets on their dress?). note that there are two cutouts on the back, which are not apparent unless you raise your arm, and a slit down the back, which would expose your bra if it were windy: the dress has lots of loose material so these body-exposing details are not obvious, which is kind of nice, kind of a surprise, kind of renter beware. also, it is rather low cut in the front, and because the dress is loose-fitting and silky and therefore moves around, at one point, i noticed the front had mysteriously shifted over and down to expose part of my bra cup. oops. BUT, even before and after that, the dress got lots of attention! it is easy and beautiful, and i would totally rent again (possibly purchase if the discount were deeper!). i wore it with copper-colored flat sandals.

there is nothing not to like about this marni shirt. it is an A-line cut (not body-skimming), and has perfect coverage in the underarm area (no peek-a-boo with the bra), so i look neat and tidy, not sloppy. i am a busty lady with a small frame (30E), but there is no pulling or tugging across the chest (i got a size 38). excellent quality material. i wore the shirt with faded out jeans and navy brogues, and topped it with a white blazer. can't really reconcile the price tag...though i would LOVE to buy!

wonderful quality, fabulous print!
this shirt is AWESOME! it is so comfortable and elegant, with a stunning print. the flowers are edged in sequins, so each has a lovely sparkle. marni can be a bit boxy, but this shirt dips in a bit at the waist so it is flattering while still keeping to its signature unstructured style. the material is heavy, so it did not wrinkle after a full day out, and kept me warm enough that i didn't need a jacket or sweater—a good thing because the sleeves bell, and i was unable to find anything to accommodate the garment. i threw on a scarf and was good to go! i wore it with boyfriend jeans and adidas, but i can see it being dressed up, as well. on my petite frame, the 38 was a bit baggier than i might have liked; the 36 might have been better. i would suggest a back-up smaller size!

thanks to other comments, i was prepared: i wore a thin shirt underneath the dress to eliminate the scratchy feeling others experienced (thank you, RTR community!) owing to the seaming on the dress. i wore the dress to an evening work event, and i was warm all night (a good thing!), and the print was cheery and refreshing in a sea of black, grey, beige, blah. also, because the fabric is a neoprene-type material, it never wrinkled or looked tired. i did, but the dress didn't. i have also rented the shirt in this same print, and both are winners. minus one star for needing to layer because of scratchiness/seaming issues.

loved the quality and color
i got lots of compliments on this shirt! the color is gorgeous and flattering. it's an unusual-looking and good-quality fabric, as well, that felt great to wear. it is roomy in the body, which made it a good choice for a loooong day sitting at the office. a con to this shirt would be that the big balloon sleeves were a pain for layering, and uncomfortable, too: cramming my arms into a sweater and then a coat was a chore, and once i managed the task, i could barely move them, to say nothing about how it looked...think huge popeye biceps that i could barely move. thankfully, spring/summer is here; i recommend a shawl!

lovely color and fab cuffs
oh, this shirt.....this shirt is cut close to the body, notably the shoulders. my frame is petite so i got away with it, but if i were a tad broader, i am not confident i would have. there is no stretch or give to the material (heavy crepe), so renter beware. owing to the big flouncy cuffs (which are stunning!), it is 1. nearly IMPOSSIBLE to stuff them into any sweater or jacket sleeve, and if you do manage to do so, 2. it affects the body of the shirt, so it kind of pulls and rides up and tugs on the torso (not my look, and not comfortable). basically, for a time that requires nothing more than a shawl, this might be a great shirt! i wore shrug to avoid the issue. okay, now the good stuff. the color is lovely: a beautiful blush. the fabric is wonderful quality, albeit give-less. the cuffs, for all their trouble, have amazing detail and are dramatic—think big, mozart-like things, but pink and for girls. i guess if you're maybe more tolerant than i am, this is your shirt.

this dress almost did not make it back to RTR! i wore it to a daytime work event, and it was comfortable and gorgeous. the silk is great quality and no static effect to speak of, no gaping between buttons, good room for the girls, the navy color is flattering, and the flower print is whimsical. the length is great, too: no peekaboo when i sat with people across from me and raised my arms to get my sweater/coat off and on—truly work appropriate! i paired it with navy hose and brogues to give it a bit of edge. excited to rent it again!

loved it so much i bought it!
the mixed media of this dress are awesome, and make it perfect for casual and dress-up fun: denim and silk. i have worn it to work, and out for a birthday party. the print is beautiful and the colors are gorgeous. the day i wore it, i was like, "this is NOT going back!" i got so many compliments. that said, it does run on the shorter side; thick under-layers for the bottom are a must, IMHO. buyer and renter beware of the movements you make while bending and stretching! also, it's a looser-cut dress, but not baggy or sloppy. RTR, you have a winner with this one!

elegant and comfortable with a great leopard print
i loved this dress. i'm not always sure i will feel brave enough to pull off an animal print, but the photos of this dress showed images of a leopard dress in muted tones that made me think, "okay, this i can do." i was right! it's a subtle print and color palate, and the dress is on the looser side, so it's not screaming for attention. the V-neck is quite low; i wore a black cami and that worked to hide the girls and bra. the sleeves do up with self-tying bow; great touch. i found the dress on the shorter side for my taste; i paired it with tight black legging-pant things. could also look great with dark skinny jeans. i would definitely rent this again!

perfect dress for my work event!
i loved this dress for the work event i hosted. it was professional, elegant, warm (those corporate conference rooms can be freezing!) and the bright blue and gold tones made it special. it was a nice change from a standard-issue, safe palate without being too much of a statement. the dress has long sleeves and a high neck, and it's a modest length (about knee-length for me). great gold zipper detail on the back, and lined interior. as for fit, it is true to size; however, it is an A-line dress and fits nicely on the bust, then sort of bells out around front and sides: it's not a body-skimming number and would be a good dress if you had to sit for extended periods/were going out for a big dinner (i was on my feet the entire evening)—super comfy. i would seriously consider either renting again, buying, or hanging on to this one!

the colors, the print, the fit, the cuffs: there is nothing not to love about this dress! i wore it on a date, to work, to an event...and it was always perfect in each setting. the silk was never staticky. the buttons did not gape or strain. the dress itself is loose but not baggy. the cuffs are long and tie with a bow, so they always peek out and look fabulous, but don't drag through food or ink. also, it is not too short or sheer at all: no peek-a-boo with tights, and totally fine with thick leggings, as well. i was tempted to buy!

all sorts of comments about this dress. the hook-and-eye closure at the neck is a tad scratchy. however, i recommend using it to make this already-a-showstopper even more unusual; otherwise it's just an open neckline. it's got a deep V, and as others have commented, i wore a black cami to be more modest. that said, the top is very blousy and loose, even though the waist was cinched, so there was NO EVIDENCE of any boobs whatsoever. definitely an oddly-cut dress. that said, if the waist had a whisper more give, it would have been comfortable, and i have a small waist. i could sit and eat, but it was JUST okay; like JUST. for all these criticisms, the color (vivid emerald), print, and style of the dress is really stunning, and i totally stood out (in a good way) at the occasion. i wore dark hose and boots. the bottom of the dress has some flair and flounce. the long sleeves kept me warm and comfortable. if you don't want to blend in, this dress is for you!

the length is modest. the flower print is gorgeous. it's a slippery silk, but did not look shiny. the dress's cuffs are purposely cut long; you cannot really roll them back. i liked that effect; they always poked out from my sweater and kind of swing around. i did not find them cumbersome when i was writing or typing or eating. it is an elegant detail. i wore it to work, and it was perfect: dark tights and black boots with a black sweater. think great desk to dinner outfit!

loved the color and the feel of this faux suede jacket. color is a slate grey, so it has blue undertones, as other wearers have noted. it is true to size. the lapels flopped around and did not look tidy. i had hoped the jacket would have some polish to it, but owing to the lapel issue, i wore it once, and to pilates, of all places. the jacket was definitely comfortable, and i enjoyed the fabric on the interior of the sleeves (good stretch and not noticeable). however, because i intended this as an accent piece for work, i was disappointed.

although this piece is intended for the outdoors, i used it in my cold office all day as a blazer. it is really beautiful, and kept me warm all day. would be perfect for a spring jacket in the warmer months. sharp-looking vintage-like cut and print with nice big buttons.
