To me, pun intended, this Tome dress was so much more formal feeling and made than it looked in the photo!! The cutouts under the arms are oddly fascinating, and beautiful! I as going to wear this for an everyday loungewear but it has heft and formality. I love it.
I wore this 32 weeks pregnant to my baby shower. And it was gorgeous. So comfortable and flattering. I wore a size 4 pre-pregnancy and have just grown in my belly for the most part and a size 4 fit great. One word of caution is I'd recommend a belly band or some layer underneath because the fabric shows the ripples of my popped out belly button, LOL.
Loved this dress. This was my second time renting it. The fabric is great. It is a little low cut so you do need a deep plunge bra and fabric tape can be useful but you don't need anything too complicated to make it work.
I absolutely loved this dress, so much that I’d probably rather own it so I could have it shortened a bit. It was super comfy, modern and well made.
This was so comfortable. The pockets make it even better... runs a tad larger than expected so I couldn't gone for a 14 when I usually wear a 16.
This dress was perfect for a summer maternity wedding guest look. The fabric is just thick enough to look really nice but it is breezy and loose enough to not feel hot or constricted (both huge perks when pregnant!)
Super cute. Loved color and fabric. The bust is low and wide so size accordingly.
This dress was oversized and I just didn’t feel it was very flattering. Also I was unaware of the open slits in the back. They made me uncomfortable so I put a tank top underneath so I wasn’t exposed.
Love this beautiful dress! Very bright and the slurs on the back was not revealing at all! That was my initial concern but dang, just lovely and comfy!
Comfy, fun and sophisticated... great for slim built ...
Loved this dress, although I definitely could have gone down a size! Just need a low cut bra for it!
My hands are there, they are just in the pockets! Super cute dress perfect for mild weather. It tends to run a bit large so I would recommend sizing down. The bust and top midsection can be fitted in a loose way giving you shape yet keeping it comfortable. I would recommend this dress for expecting mothers as well!
This dress is so cute and vintage and hugs your hips but not your tummy to give that hourglass shape!!
I love this dress! The cuts are in just he right spot and it draped really nicely on my body. I can see how this may be a little tent-like on some body types but I'd give it a try, it's really comfortable. Tome is one of by favorite body-positive brands right now.
I wore Tome dresses during my pregnancy for special events/showers and loved them. This was the perfect dress to mask my (shrinking) belly! Although, my tatas were a little unruly, I loved this dress so much!
A little low cut in the front but overall a nice dress. The fabric is high quality and the way it fits in the back is really nice.
the photo doesn't do justice to this beautiful pink dress. it is loose and comfortable, the color is a show-stopper, with subtle cutouts in the back and sides that do not show bra! the material is heavy, so although perhaps it's challenging to wear in hotter weather, after a while in the air conditioning, it's really a good thing because you never freeze. that said, the thick, polyester fabric makes it unbreathable, and therefore, one of those dreaded "body odor" garments (y'all know what i'm talking about). despite being dry cleaned by RTR before it got to me, the dress wasn't freshened up. i could not wait to get it off for only that reason. so, minus one star for the funk.
This runs large... I am normally a size 4-6 and the size 2 fit perfectly. It is a beautiful color and the waist is cinched, which helps the shape of the dress. However, I felt like it looked like a maternity dress on me! I'm only 5'2" and the dress hung well past my knees, so I definitely needed heels. And the dress is pretty low cut, so for work I wore I bralette to make it more appropriate but it would have been just fine for a date night or party. Overall, it is a beautiful high quality dress but just not the right style for me!
Wore at 27 weeks pregnant. Glad I had a slip on hand because I didn't realize the back has a weird cutout when I ordered. For summer casual I'd probably be comfortable without a slip, but I needed one for work. Runs large - went 1 size down from normal even though I'm pregnant
Cut party look
Two or three years ago, I wore this dress to a wedding while I was in my third trimester of pregnancy. It was super flattering and comfortable. I liked it so much that when I was going to a wedding in my third trimester again, recently, I immediately went looking for this dress again. It was just as perfect as I remember it. Plenty of room for my 8mo baby bump. For sizing, you just need to consider your bust measurement.
It definitely is kinda maternity ish, but I didn't mind bc I loved the dress. The fabric is high quality and thicker. It's great for transition summer to fall. I wore with a lab coat over it for work with royal blue flats. I was thinking people may have thought I was pregnant, but it was super cool and stylish. It has pockets. The back is open and he top is VERY low cute and loose so I had to wear a tank top under it. It's not that dressy. Good work dress.
A bit low cut, but still a cute dress. Because of my bust I was worried it would make me look dumpy, but strangely it draped really well in a way that surprising accentuated my waist/figure. I would totally rent this again. Would look cute with thigh high boots.
Wore at 28 weeks pregnant. Very roomy. Ordered pre-pregnancy size. Got lots of compliments but did feel it wasn't the most flattering.
This dress was strange. I tried to make it work. The back is structured and cool, but the front was huge and too low-cut, needed tape to close between boobs. A sash helped me bring more shape and not feel like I was drowning in it. The color is lovely - my husband enjoyed the pink and coworkers commented over Zoom - and the quality overall is great. Definitely size down and choose if you embrace a loose tummy fit.
The cut and color of this dress did nothing for my apple shape, plus I found the cut-outs a complete surprise. Returning without wearing.
It's a beautiful color but the back of the dress has slits close to your waistline, that expose . . . back fat. I love my extra chunk in my back, but it's smushed and accentuated by my bra already and then it's put on full display with this dress. The dress material is thick as it is, not a breathable material, so I understand the need for slits, but to wear a slip or tank underneath it would take my body temperature to a whole 'nother level! Never wore it out, returned it.
Lots of room even with a 7 month pregnant belly.
Runs large. Very thin, sheer material. Doesn’t look or feel great on.
Liked the Kamono look but did not notice vents but in back. they reduced the professionalism of the look IMO
Looks like a choir robe. Nice material.
This dress is amazing. Just make sure you wear the right kind of bra with it!
If this dress had fit it would have been amazing, there are cute cut outs in the back and the fit is loose and comfortable. I’d highly recommend sizing down!
I really enjoyed this dress The shape is oh so forgiving and the color is so pretty The slits in the back added a lil spice and love love love that it has pockets
Beautiful fabric and drape. Great color.
I ordered this dress for an event, but it did arrive in time for me to wear it. It is really flowly and has slits in the back. I plan to rent again for a future event, but I will size down because it was large around my natural waist.
Pretty color, pretty silk.
