I like this look - its a really deep green, almost black. In any case, the buttons on the back are awkward and some of the button holes are lose so they come undone if you move your arm the wrong way. Also, im short, but so is the top. Dont plan on lifting your arms without your midrift showing!

This dress was definitely small for its size. I guess it depends on your bust, but as someone who is very busty, I couldn't get the medium completely zipped up. I was nervous but the large fit well. Still pushes in your bust quite a bit, but gives a good shape. The sparkles do get you under the arms, but it's a known issue with all sparkles!

I rented this dress to wear on NYE. I'm a true 6/8 - half the time the six fits, half the time the eight does. Only the 8 was in stock, so I took a chance as a lot of the reviews said that the dress was a little tight in the arms and bust. I'm small, but have a big bust and big hips...you know how it goes. Anyway, this dress came early and I tried it on. Not the perfect NYE dress for me. It was a little baggy and just didn't give off the WOW look I wanted for NYE. I had another house party that night so I decided to belt it and wear it out. I'm glad I did. It looked cute with the belt. I started to wonder if the six might have given me more shape and been a better overall fit. The dress is very pretty and super comfortable, but probably not the best "special occasion" outfit...at least for me.

I really liked the look of the dress and I got LOTS of compliments throughout the night. As someone with a large chest, I was happy to wear a regular bra and still have a great neckline dress. The only downside is what normally happens with sparkly dresses - the underarm scratching. I also found the dress very difficult to zip (not because of size, just a tough zipper). Still, if you want to be the shining star, check this dress out!

I rented this dress for my friend's Friday Night Wedding. I thought it was glam, cute and fun. I will admit that when it first came I was a little bummed. I'm usually a 6/8 and the 8 just seemed awkward, I was afraid that the 6 wouldn't fit either...but it did. The only thing was it was a little boxy. I loved having the room in my chest and hips, but I was disappointed that it didn't come in at my waist. SO, I belted it! I would definitely recommend this to anyone else who's renting. A cute black belt (or even gold) would make this dress a 10! I received so many compliments on this dress, and it photographed really well. The dress is definitely short. I'm just under 5'2'' and it was even short on me. The other "con" is that after a night of dancing, my arms were scratched up. The sequins are not the best on this one. But if I wasn't going to be doing dancing, I would rent it again. Best part of the story? I later found out that the bride wore it to her bridal shower (which I wasn't at!) about a month before the wedding. I guess we both have great taste!

Knowing that I was heading to Atlantic City with my family for Christmas, I thought I would get a FUN dress for Christmas Eve dinner. I didn't want anything TOO fancy or formal, but I wanted something fun! This dress was actually fun and formal - but in a good way. Matching it with the black tights is a MUST. The material is a little rough, so if you'll be doing a lot of slow dancing, hugging, etc it may get scratchy. Also it's not the easiest to lift your arms up really high, but who needs that unless you're dancing to the "Shout" song. As far as the size, I will say that the 8 fit well. The back/shoulders was a bit off though. I loved the open back, but it seemed like the fabric should have been tighter up top as the dress slipped off my shoulders a couple of time. I thought about using the hanger straps to create a tie up top, but I didn't want to mess up the dress. Also, the dress is short. I'm 5'1'' but I can see my taller friends having some troubles with it. I don't know that I would rent again, but that's more because of the uniqueness of the dress than because anything was wrong. Definitely fun and recommended for special occasions!

I originally rented this dress for my work holiday party - but wasn't sure that it would be "form fitting" enough - I didn't want to look like a gold paper bag. In any case, the RTR Gods were looking out for me, because since the backup size ended up being damaged, I was contacted by RTR asking if I wanted another dress instead! They let me still rent the M Gold Dress but then sent me another style dress for the inconvenience (thanks again!). Anyway, I put on the Medium Gold Dress and it fit well. The bottom is tapered and while I won't say it showed off my figure, it was okay. I would definitely recommend this dress if you have some problem areas you're looking to hide. I took one awkward selfie, pictured here, before I went to take it off and try on the other dress. It took me twenty minutes to get the dress off. TWENTY. I have a large chest, but basically the dress could not come off of my shoulders and over my chest at the same time. I laughed, almost cried, and decided to try one more time before I was going to call my girl friend to have her help me pry it off, when I was finally able to get the dress over my chest. I would NOT recommend getting this dress unless you have the help of two girlfriends to get it off of you at the end of the night. It is a pretty dress - and great for holiday parties, but I wish there was a better exit strategy. No wonder my back-up size got damaged...

Literally, if it wasn't a $500 dress I would have kept it. The color was gorgeous, the fit was perfection, and it was a huge hit at my office holiday party. I will DEFINITELY rent this dress again. I'm a pretty true 8 when it comes to dresses, but depending on my bust, sometimes I have to go to a 10 so I'm not suffocating. With this dress, I was actually able to zip up the 6 - but decided to give the girls a little more room in the 8, which fit like a glove. The dress is super flattering if you have a bigger chest and smaller waist. It does run a little short though, and my tall friends who have worn it said it was too short for them. But for me, just right. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Can't say enough great things!

I wore this for my 10 year high school reunion and it was a great hit! So, as a lot of the reviews say...the dress runs small. I'm normally a true 8 and I had to wear the 10 in this dress. I could have squeeeezed into the 8, but why? No one sees the size tag, right? I was actually a little bummed because the lining was coming out the bottom (it actually has three layers - the purple lace, a sheer gold and then the solid gold). Of course though, I had ordered it over Thanksgiving and when I called RTR we realized that there was no way to get a replacement in time for my event. So I was able to tape up the bottom layers - and they offered to refund the amount of the dress. SO SWEET. Anyway, no one saw the tape, it was a huge success. I will say that the dress is a lot brighter than a lot of the pictures make it seem - I tried to get a good shot. But it's funny, when the lighting is dark...the dress looks dark. In the sun or the bright light...the dress looks light. Very pretty, make sure you have a good necklace with the dress!

I really liked this dress online and I'm glad I rented it. The color was a little more teal in person, but it was very pretty. I got lots of compliments on the lace. As for size, I tend to be an 8 in most dresses, due to my bust, and sure enough the 8 is what I went with. The 6 fit as well, but was just a little tight in the bust and I wanted some wiggle room. The 8 did unfortunately have some extra fabric on the bottom in length (I'm only 5'1") but it didn't look weirdly long. Additionally - there was extra fabric by the shoulders. I just wish the fabric was where I needed it to be - closer to the bust. It was pretty. Don't think I would rent it again, but I was happy that I wore it!

I went with a couple of friends to Miss America in AC and we wanted to get dressed up and look super cute. This dress was the perfect choice. I was really bummed because I had hurt my knee a week before and could not wear heels. It didn't matter - the dress did not need heels, and might have looked cuter with flats. It runs short - which at 5'2" doesn't matter. The dress is definitely more gold in person. The dress is definitely goldish - but with like a tan/brown underlay. It's gorgeous. Seriously I got so many compliments - from strangers even! The dress fits true to size. I'm normally a 6-8 in dresses, so the medium was perfect. The neckline is super flattering to anyone with strong shoulders and a large bust. I don't have much of a belly, but I could see this dress showing one if you do - as it does hug tightly. Still, it feels comfortable and is easy to sit and move in. Definitely would rent it again!
