This was my first RTR dress, and it was beautiful! Loved the dark teal for an evening event. I ordered a 2 and a 4; the slip on the 2 was a bit tight over my hips, but the top fit perfect, and while the 4 fit my hips better, it was slightly loose over my bust and had a small gap in the back (nothing that fashion tape couldn't fix). I noticed it, but I don't think anyone else would have, but I ended up wearing the 2 anyways. If I had been attending an event with dancing, I would have chosen the 4. Wore it with a statement necklace and nude pumps, and got many compliments!

It was more blue than it looked online. I think it ran a little bit big. 

Fit like a glove and easy to wear. Appropriate for a work event since it is long enough but still cute. Usually a 4 but a 2 in couture sizing. The 2 was perfect. 

The dress is gorgeous and the lace is unique and beautiful. It did run a bit big so I actually had to call and get the size 4 overnighted as the 6 was way too big. Overall, it was so comfortable and I felt like a million bucks. Didn't want to send it back!

I wore this to a rehearsal dinner, and it was perfect. I have a full bust, and am very curvy. I was able to go bra-less (I consider myself lucky to be able to do this) and was very comfortable. there was enough support for me to do this. I got so many compliments! I wore gold earrings, and black tights with black wedge shoes (Chicago is COLD) 

LOVED this dress. It was extremely comfortable and flattering no matter how much I ate through the night. I have a pretty short torso, so there was a little extra fabric at the top, but other than that it fit perfectly and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. It could probably pass as somewhat casual to black tie formal.

This dress was excellent!! One of my favorite rentals so far.  It was the perfect mix of young and sexy, yet very tasteful and professional.  Although I am only 5'2", the length was perfect. It was very comfortable to be in for a 10 hour day! The quality of the dress was very good considering it is so affordable.  Thinking about renting it again.  I was very satisfied with it 

Fit great! I typically wear an 8 or a 10 and the 8 was perfect. I'm smaller on top and hippy on the bottom and the liner of the dress was not tight. I was able to dance all night. Very comfortable dress. I received many compliments. Also the color was great! A brighter blue than in the photo. If you rent you will not be disappointed!


The dress was really comfortable and the length was just right!  The color is subtle and the lace details made the dress elegant.  I wore it to a wedding in Dallas in September.  I dressed it up with a gold braided belt that I already had.  Great dress.

I wore this dress for an outdoor wedding in the summer and it was perfect. The lace has a classy feel with a beautiful texture and the cutouts were very attractive!

My first Rent The Runway rental was a great success! The whole experience; the excitement when it comes in the mail, getting to wear something beautiful all night, the compliments, telling friends, was great! I usually wear a size 4 and the dress fit me perfect. Got a lot of compliments and felt very beautiful all night. Would definitely recommend! 

This dress fit my curves great! I wish I owned it! The lace was soft and comfortable for the entire night. 

Wore this to my rehearsal dinner. I got so many compliments on it. I recommend wearing a strapless bra with it so you can't see the straps through the lace on the top. I'm a little thicker and the 12 fit perfectly.

I wore this dress for an elegant dinner party, where my fiance and I were the guests of honor. I got a lot of compliments on the dress. The size 8 dress fit my bust perfectly, but it was a little loose in the other areas, but that is pretty standard for me. It was a back-up dress so I didn't have the size 6 to try on.

This dress is absolutely beautiful and I feel pictures don't fully do it justice.  I was extremely pleased with my first dress rental.  The lace and color is stunning.  This dress is perfect for any occasion.  I did say it runs slightly large, but that could also be my body frame.  This dress is also very comfortable. This dress would look even cuter, with a pretty belt to accentuate the waist.  Just be cautious not to snag the lace!

Should you decide to make this your special dress for a special event, I believe you will be extremely pleased!

I really loved this dress and got tons of compliments all night at the wedding I wore it too.  Really beautiful color, not too bright and very classy design.  The lace on top was so pretty, and it felt great to dance in.  Overall, a really great dress, I would definitely rent this again!!

The dress comes folded in the garment bag and with the lace this dress is ready to wear right out of the bag (another dress I picked as a back-up would have needed steaming or ironing before wearing). It was a little stretched out from wear but it fit perfectly and I didn't get a size smaller so I wouldn't know if that would have fit better. The lace is also super comfortable and not itchy!

Fit great. Ordered size 4 and 6 bc I typically need the extra room in my hips. Not in this dress. Great fit! Hit just above my knee. Conservative enough to wear to a wedding, but fun enough to wear out for date/party. Will rent again

This dress is gorgeous! It ran true to size and the lace is pretty. I am tall and was worried about the length but it was fine-a little past the mid thigh. It was comfy and I was able to dance all night. Other plus was you can wear different jewelry options-bigger fun jewelry or all silver/gold. Highly recommend! 

Perfect dress for a wedding! Great length, and very pretty top! It was a little big (especially in the bust area for me) so I'm glad I ordered my second size a size down. I was able to wear it with a nude balconette style bra, the straps were not noticeable.

Overall the dress fit well, it was only a little tight just under the bust.  I am 2 months postpartum with my 3rd baby and still have a ways to go to get back to pre-pregnancy weight: the dress covered up my belly without making me look huge around the middle.  Got lots of complements.  

I rented this dress for our first anniversary dinner.  I needed something formal and also something I could be comfortable in during potential humid weather.  This dress was PERFECT!  The lace was not scratchy and the dress moved and was flexible in wear.  I was able to enjoy my dinner and not feel like I was going to burst out of the dress either (for those of you who often pray you don't have to eat - you can in this dress!) I had many compliments and the blue of the dress was gorgeous.  I planned on NOT wearing a necklace, however, my anniversary gift was a necklace so the jewelry needed to be switched up a bit - it still worked well and didn't get caught on the material.  It was on the conservative side - so don't wear this if you want something daring or flashy.  I loved it because it was young but not too short or daring.  Overall, I will rent again for another affair if I need something on the more conservative side.  Pearls, statement jewelry will work but one thing i loved about the lace overlay was you could go with great earrings and not worry about a necklace with this one.  Fit to my petite size quite nicely - you can see it wasn't too short and came just above my knee.  On taller women, it may be your call on length being shorter (like on the model).  The waist and bust worked out great - hid the problem areas and didn't feel like i was straining with a larger chest.

I recently lost a lot of weight. This was my first RTR dress. I was nervous to receive it and have it fit. It was PERFECT!!! I absolutely loved it! I felt so amazing and beautiful in this sexy but classy number. So many compliments all night. 

This dress was great! The lace overlay is beautiful. The back design was fun but since I don't have broad shoulders it proofed out a bit. As I have long hair it wasn't an issue. I danced a ton and had a great time in this dress!

The dress was a perfect fit for me. I loved everything about this dress from the detailing, to the cut and shape, to the fabric, to the length, to the color, etc. I received several compliments on this dress. I didn't even wear jewelry because I felt the details of the dress were beautiful on their own. I recommend this dress, especially to those with hour glass figures as it accents the narrow waist.

Dress fit great! Great for people with pear shape.  I got many compliments.  Looked good with a mint necklace.  Would rent again!

I ordered this for my bridal shower and it was PERFECT!  Fit like a glove - was slimming, yet comfortable and fantastic color (I wore nude shoes with it).  I received TONS of compliments....yes yes, I know I was the bride so compliments are expected/customary, but people didn't say "oh your hair or make-up looks great" but they did REPEATEDLY comment on how pretty the dress was and ask where it was from.  The neckline wasn't restricting as many of these style dresses are and the bottom of the dress didn't "puff out" like many of the other similar style dresses do.  I ordered both a 4 and a 2 and could have easily worn either, but since i was going to be sitting down in front of people for most of the time, i didn't want the midsection to be uncomfortable.

The dress fit true to size. I usually wear a 6 and it fit perfect. I have a short torso and small chest, so the lace back was a bit loose, but looked fine. Overall it was a great dress, very comfortable and I received a lot of compliments! Perfect for an outdoor wedding!

Comfortable, great fit, and unique color! Wore this for an outdoor evening wedding in North Carolina, and it was perfect. I have a smaller waist and a bigger chest, and this dress fit well even though the fabric doesn't stretch. I usually wear a size 4, but the 2 fit perfectly, so you might want to get the extra size down if you're on the fence. Don't forget you'll need a strapless bra!

I am a bit wide in my rib cage, so the size 10 worked well (especially for a big wedding dinner)! Love the dress. The back adds such a sweet, romantic detail.

This dress was beautiful and comfortable. I did size down as recommended by others, but the lining of the 0 was too tight around my hips. I wore the size 2, which was large in the bust, but it wasn't that noticeable. I felt really comfortable wearing this dress to a daytime wedding, and received many compliments on it!

I have a larger waist line for most girls my height and this was really right around my waist. It went just above my knee which was great! If I were able to go back and change things I would have gotten a size 8. I would have been more comfortable throughout the night.

This dress fit my body perfectly and was the perfect length. It didn't feel too long or short and was very comfortable sitting and standing. You can wear a normal bra with it, which is a big plus. I loved everything about it. I might have to rent this one again. 

Was a gorgeous color and the lace was beautiful, but the top just cut my shoulders/bust/waist weird. Wasn't loving it, but made do. Wouldn't rent again. 

My daughter wore this for her high school Homecoming dance. The color is very pretty, more of a green/blue than the navy that it appears in some of the customer reviews. She wore a size 2 since a 0 wasn't available and it was a little loose on her, but still looked nice. She is 5'2" and about 115 pounds, normally wears a 0. The under layer of fabric was ripped along the seam when we received it, but it wasn't long enough of a rip to make it look bad with the lace layer over the top. Over all a very nice dress.

This dress was a gorgeous color for an outdoor wedding and the detail doesn't really require any added flash or jewelry. The waist is a bit tight but not uncomfortably so and a plus was you can wear it with no bra or a regular bra. I would definitely rent this again!

Loved this dress for a New Orleans wedding - runs a bit big in the waist but because I wore the smaller size to make up for the loose waist it was fitted enough on top to go braless. Would definitely rent again 

Rented for a summer wedding. The dress fit true to size. The color was lovely in a sea of little black dresses.

It was true to size and was super comfortable. 

I really liked this dress!  True to size, and I feel like it pulled in at my waist in the right place.  Everyone kept complimenting the color, it was like a deep turquoise.  

Color is more blue than I thought (somehow looked teal in photos). Length hit just above knees. Bust fit, but bra was visible under lace because big boobs need a big bra. This was not an issue in dimly lit rooms. Generally, I just felt good wearing it. 

When my dress was being shipped they didn't have the backup size in this one and therefore offered me a second dress which I ended up wearing since it matched my boyfriend's tux better. This dress was perfect though! Fit true to size! My hips are pretty wide so the skirt liner was a little snug but it had some give to it so I think it would've been fine. Loved that I could've gone with or without a bra since I'm not too busty though there was some extra room in the top so I probably would've worn at least a strapless bra to fill it out. I highly recommend this dress though! Super cute and super comfy! 

I ordered a size 4 and a size 2. I tried on the size 4 and the slip immediately ripped which meant that I definitely couldn't down size to the 2. I think it was a combo of a dress that was well worn and that I ordered a dress that was too small. I recommend ordering up a size up for your backup. The color was fun and I received several compliments. Pulled it together with a belt that matched my shoes. Another rent the runway win!

This dress fit great and was very comfortable. It is very flattering and was great to dance and eat in. The quality of the dress could have been better but still loved it. 

This was such a great dress! I loved the color and the lace detailing. I got so many compliments all night. Perfect for a mid-summer wedding.  I'm usually a size 4 and the the 4 fit perfectly.

I wore this to a showing of the nutcracker and then out for dinner and drinks. The dress was made of fabulous material and fit like a glove.  I received many compliments on the color and style of the lace.  It was comfortable and easily paired with black tights as it was freezing outside! Would definitely rent again! 

This dress was a lot of fun and very comfortable - nothing too attention-grabbing or dramatic, but it's appropriate for weddings that aren't super formal/black tie, and it was comfortable to be in for many, many hours. The color is really beautiful and the lace detail, especially in the chest area, is really gorgeous! Not too short, not too tight, easy to wear with any strapless bra, zippers and everything worked fine - just an easy, good-looking outfit and it could be versatile (dressed up or dressed down).

This is a very versatile dress that I ended up wearing to both a daytime ceremony and the evening reception. It's very comfortable. I found it was a little large on top but I am also very slender around my shoulders so maybe it was just me. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for something to wear in the fall and it's not quite cold yet. 

I am 6 months post-partum and nursing, so I was looking for something flattering for my post-baby/slightly curvier than normal body. It fit perfectly and I felt confident with the fitted higher waist and flair around my tummy. I wore it to a fundraiser (pictured) and then had a fall outdoor wedding the following Saturday. I wore it there with boots and a jacket. 

I absolutely loved this dress! I got it for an outdoor early October wedding. The color was amazing and the dress was very comfortable. The lining on the inside was ripped but nothing a safety pin couldn't fix. I recently lost some weight so I can't be much help on fit,  but I did order a 6 & 8 and wore the 6 since it fit like a glove. Wish I owned this dress - definitely rent it!!! 

I wore this dress to the American Cancer Society charity gala. I  wanted something sexy, yet modest and this was the a perfect choice! I felt beautiful in this dress and received many compliments!

There are often times when I know I look pretty and put together but this dress made me FEEL beautiful! I ordered the 6 and wanted the 4 as a backup size but it was unavailable. The 4 would have been better, but the 6 was great too!

I was coordinating a friend's wedding but also a guest so I wanted something I could run around in, but also feel good in and this was just the dress! I paired it with some low gold wedges, gold earrings, bracelet and clutch. I felt the neckline of the dress was beautiful on its own and didn't need a necklace. 

So sad to have to return this dress. Will definitely be using RTR again!

this was my 3rd rtr rental and definitely my favorite thus far--my boyfriend's favorite as well. the color is even better in person than on screen. the dress was very comfortable and easy to sit, eat and dance in. i wore a strapless bra with it. it was *a little* loose on the top so i had to tug my bra down a few times to prevent it from showing, but it was not a big deal at all. normally i wouldn't have worn a bra at all, but i needed to fill it out a little more. definitely recommend.

The size 4 would have been more comfortable, but there was a snag in the lace that was in the bodice. I went with the 2, a little snug and tricky to zip, but very flattering and no need for a bra. I received many compliments and can't beat the price!

Great dress! I got this for a wedding and was a little worried about the length since I normally need to order petite, but it was perfect! Got lots of compliments. I am usually somewhere between a 6 and 8 for dress sizes and the 6 fit perfectly! Would definitely recommend it to others.

I wore this to an outdoor summer wedding, it was the perfect mix of dressy but not too formal for the wedding we were attending as the dress code was quite ambiguous!
You can see the tiniest amount of my nude bra peaking out underneath my arms--oops but I was happy to not wear a strapless for the evening. Was super comfortable and the color is a gorgeous teal--great for us fair skinned ladies! Highly recommend

I ordered this as a 2nd option for a wedding. It's a very pretty dress and fit, but I liked the other dress better. The photo is of me in the 6. I could probably have worn the 4 since the six was a bit big. I would rent this again.

This dress was a back up after the dress that I rented didn't fit right. I loved this dress! It was so comfortable, and the real color was beautiful! I'm getting married this year and my mom loved this dress so much she is going to rent if for my wedding! I wish I could have kept the dress!

Usually I worry about arm pits being tight but they were not on this dress. The length was great too! Wore a strapless bra with no problems. Would recommend this dress to anyone! Actually thinking about having my bridesmaids wear it..

This dress was perfect for my good friend's wedding. The lace overlay is very flattering (even with a high neckline). The dress overall got a lot of compliments and fit was good of a little big in the hips/skirt. I wish the waistline was either a true empire or at the true waist - I think it hit me at a somewhat unflattering "middle" spot.

Planned on wearing the size 8 but the size 6 fit better.  I am 5' 4" 140lbs, 36-30-40, 32DDD.  Withought nylons, the lining was a bit tight in the hips, but as soon as I put nylons on, it was perfect.  In the picture, it looks like I am shapeless, but the dress was actually very flattering on an hourglass figure and modest at the same time.  The color is a really beautiful dark teal.  I was worried the lace would be fraying, but it is actually made of a very thick material.  Like most of the other other renters, the shoulders of the dress stood out a bit from the natural end of my shoulders.  There was a little wear on the button at the top of the back, but other than that, perfect.  I looked great and could eat and dance.  Looked seamless with a strapless bra.  I was very happy with this rental and will definitely use RTR again!

Ran large, I was expecting to wear the 10 but the 8 was great. Definitely wear a nude bra. 

Beautiful dress, I ordered the size 8 and 12 because they didn't have a 10 available...the 12 was too big and the 8 zipped great but the skirt under the lace was just a bit tight on my hips. It did stretch throughout the night though, never felt too uncomfortable. Received a lot of complaints of it, loved the deep dark real color too! 

I am 5'0 and it was a great fit through the torso and lengthwise.  Received many compliments and had fun wearing it 

I rented this to wear to a fall Indian wedding. I love the unique lace design and as soon as I put it on I wish I owned it! So nice that the dress was not a tight fit and so forgiving in the tummy area.  I usually wear a size 6 and my back up was an 8. I didn't see too much of a difference between the 2 sizes but I ended up wearing the 6 and it was a great fit. :D

The details on the dress are beautiful and it's a nice break from a little black dress!  It is fitted at the waist but the sizing is about right to running a little large.  The color is great for a fall wedding.  

While I typically fit a size 4, I am a small woman with a shorter torso. I ended up having to choose between the 4, which was comfortable around the waist and a little too long on the torso, or the 2, which was the right size/length for the torso and a bit right around the waist. Needless to say it was quite tight and slightly unflattering to my own eye, but I did get compliments all night. Note: this review is for the dress only! The rtr service has been impeccable!

Dress was gorgeous! I was very stressed about it when it arrived because it was super tight across my chest. I contacted Rent the Runway and they were very helpful about trying to get me a backup dress. But when all was said and done, I just chanced it and wore this one because I loved it! It ended up working out -  and I received many compliments! I would definitely rent this one again!

This was my first time using RTR. So I was I little nervous receiving the dress one day before my event. I even went out and bought a few back up dresses just in case but ended up returning them all because this dress was exactly what I pictured and more. Everyone else's review about this dress being a little tight above the waste were true! So I'm glad I went a size up for comfort purposes. And defiantly wear a strapless!! I got comments left and right on how beautiful this dress was! I will definitely be renting this dress and others again in the future! 

The lace on the dress was pretty and the color was perfect for an early fall wedding in Indiana. I ended up wearing the 0 because it fit a bit better. It was nice but I wasn't overtly impressed by the dress. 

Loved this dress! Normally wear a 12 but it was tight in the bust (I'm a 36D) so I went with the 14. It was a little roomier around the waist but overall more comfortable. Very unique color! I went with gold jewelry, a nude clutch and nude heels and it worked fabulously! Would definitely rent again!
