Unlike other reviews, I didn't find this romper to run small. As seen on the photo, the usual Small I rent fit me just fine. I do have short torso and arms compared to my height though. One thing I do agree is that the shorts run short though (though unlike other reviews, my butt cheeks weren't showing). For that reason, I wore it to the beach over a bikini as opposed to out on the street.

Wanted something different than the Canada Goose that literally everyone is wearing. This was comfy, warm + deep pockets for keys, phones, doggy poop bags, etc. Innovative, feather free (cruelty free) material, and glad to see coat companies moving away from (dog / coyote aka "fake") fur to no fur at all. Would purchase but easier to return to RtR to have them clean it then rent again.

Lovely work dress, does run small.
As other people have mentioned, this dress does run small, so size up. However, once you get a proper fit, it's amazing. I love the color. As you see on the picture (I hope that it uploaded correctly), I paired it with black stockings and booties plus a gold rose long necklace. The faux leather trim around the v-neck area is amazing. I would rent this again.

If I had to pick top-five RtR rentals ever, this would make the list.
Such a great fit. Nothing shows from the sides - no bra, no skin rolls. High-quality material. A sexy lace detail around the multiple seams, but nothing see-through. I also love how the curves of my tummy (trouble area) do not peek through. I would rent this item again.

I agree with other reviews that the material is wrinkly, but the wrinkles are subtle and forgivable, and they mostly come out if you hang the item overnight. The wrinkle problem is also really with the way RtR packages the stuff in those flimsy envelopes, but I can't think of a better way so that the item still squeezes into the UPS dropbox. The overall fit of this dress is very nice, true-to-fit, and not too tight. I love the length as well as the muted red color. I've had some meh experiences with Theory in the past, but this dress is a winner.

Very nice but runs small.
I'm giving this dress good reviews even though I did not actually wear it, because it was too tight. The reason it's not 5 stars is because the detail is a bit tricky - there are pieces of cloth that you must button on separately. Despite of that, it is a nice dress and sturdy, good quality material. I normally wear a four, but that was too tight.

I really liked this romper. I rented it to go to a Jazz Festival in NYC on a weekend. Good quality material, love the belt detail and the pattern. I love the little hole in the back. Also pairs nicely with a cardigan. Would rent again.

As most Derek Lam items, I like this one a lot.
I understand how this top can turn to be a challenge to someone who's large-busted, but being small-chested, the customary size 4 fit me perfectly. I love the original print and the delicate fabric. I paired it with GAP's cropped white pants, similar to the ones on the picture. I can imagine it looking great with black cropped pants as well.

I love this top.
I can see why some users expressed concern of this top being right around their bust and riding up, but, being small-chested, this was not a problem for me, personally. I loved the unique fabric / color and the slightly boxy fit that exposed my neck area just a bit. I also love the frilly detail around the sleeves. My concern was that this would expose my tummy, but it does not. I don't normally purchase the RTR items, but if I did, I'd purchase this one. This top rivals some of the top-designer ones.

Nice, conservative but not boring.
I really like the fabrics of all Derek Lam pieces. No exception with this dress. From afar, this looks like a standard, floral pattern, but in-person, it's actually an interesting, leaflike motif. Love the length, the material, and the way it lies without hugging my tummy. Love how it's classy & conservative yet not boring. The open neck area adds a bit of a sexy twist.

Nice skirt, a little large.
It looks a bit different in reality than it does on the picture. On the picture, it looks like a substantial, heavy, drape-like fancy skirt. It is, in fact, a very feather-weight, thin skirt. Nice, if you don't mind a loose fit around the waist, then stick with your normal size, otherwise, size down.

Nice, interesting motif. Feels a bit like wearing a ballet too too which is a reason I gave it four stars. You do definitely need something underneath, this is more of a long top and not a dress. It could be leggings, tights, or even black skinny jeans. Also, Kate Spade appears to make smaller sizes than other brands, I am usually a Small, but with Kate Spade, I am a Medium.

I love this dress. I do agree with some of the previous comments that say that the bra shows a bit, but you can use either safety pins or wear a black bra in which case it will show minimally. It does run a bit small - I am normally a Small, but with Kate Spade, I appear to be a Medium. However, once you size up, the stretchy material does not hug so closely so as to accentuate any rolls, and I love the fabric. I like the fact that the dress does not have any zippers - it feels so natural to just wear it without one - and that it runs down to the knees. I sometimes feel a bit self-conscious in some of the RTR dresses, because they're either too short or the details too loud, but not in this one. Love this dress.

My fault for not reading the description.
The skirt is not cream, it is golden. The fabric contains a golden thread. Sort of like the clothes you may find at the Express stores. I thought this would be a work-appropriate skirt, but alas. I'm not quite sure what occasion befits this skirt. Despite of all this, it is a well-made, well-fitting garment.

I am normally a "small", although apparently not under Kate Spade. Both the top and the bottom was clingy, embarrassingly revealing my tummy. It was like a very unflattering bathing suit. Perhaps I just really need to begin to exercise my entire body. Perhaps, if I wore a larger size, things would've looked much better.

A very nice, unique skirt.
I loved this skirt. It sits right at the waist and is unique but not puffy - you will not look like going to a prom. It is made of a unique material that does not feel plastic-y (that was my concern when I saw pictures). It has a unique, lace detail with a nice, light liner that leaves the area just above the knees exposed. I paired it with an off-black, boat neck, cap sleeved top that I tucked in. A unique twist to the everyday work skirt. I would rent this again.

Very nice, good quality skirt, but beware - it has no lining which means that the lace detail reveals your legs almost up to the crotch! I wish the pictures showed that better, because I rented this for work. I think I may still be able to pull it off with a pair of black tights, but I would not wear it with bare legs. I still gave it good reviews, because it is very pretty and has nice detail, but I truly wish the manufacturer included a black, thin liner underneath the lace.

I like this top. I wore it on a casual day to work. The only thing that feels a little awkward is the tied piece, it hangs little longer than I'd wish. But, it may just be a matter of me getting used to it. What I particularly like is the under-piece. It's almost like a lining so that the bra or excess skin does not expose on the sides. I would rent this again.

Fitting yet flowy, right length yet attractive.
I like this dress a lot. It is long enough to wear to work without making me self-conscious, it is not tight, it is very light, and the neck opening together with the string tie makes the dress look not too conservative. Nothing I would change.

Very pretty dress - not too tight around the abdomen. I love the decolage - it does not reveal too much and does not require a safety pin the way the Diane von Fusternberg wrap dresses do (for me, at least). I do wish Derek Lam made the dresses a bit longer - I always rent for work, and I'm always self-conscious when the dress is too short.

I wasn't sure if I should select the usual size of my top, 4, or bottom, 6, but I went with the 4, and the item fit perfectly. I did have to include a safety pin in the bust area the way I usually do, and I do wish the area around the abdomen was designed differently and did not look so floppy, but despite of that, I have received numerous compliments including one from a random woman on the street!

Very nice, not too revealing or too conservative.
Whereas Diane von Fustenberg is my favorite designer, I also like Kate Spade. This is a nice dress - the decolage does not open excessively to show my bra, and it is an overall loose, easy flow yet elegant. I rented it to wear to work, and it fits well for that environment. I like it and would rent it again.

Wow, love it!
I did not expect much of this dress. It's not one of the main designers. However, I love it. The fit is perfect - long enough to wear to work yet enough above the knee to not be too conservative, not tight around the tummy, and the wrap-style neck opening does not open up and make me self-conscious that my bra will show. I absolutely love this dress. I will look to see if there are more outfits by this brand.

FYI: Marni always run large!
Knowing that Marni, for some reason, always runs large would make people's lives a lot easier. After having worn the red Marni dress and looking like I donned on a potato sack, I made it a point to order a smaller size this time around and loved it. Now, FYI, I'd never pay the $1,500 it allegedly retails for, but for a rental, I love it - the style, the fabric, the cut, and the pattern. Love that it does not accentuate my not-so-flat tummy. Would order again.

Very nice - belt is a bit awkward, but once you figure it out, it looks great.
Had some trouble with the belt. I ended up having to put it over my head in order to go around my waistline. I broke out into sweat doing it! Once I figured it out though, it does look very nicely.
