Great dress/Great color
I attend a lot of events for work with donors, and tend to let their outfits have the spotlight. So my goal for these is to look appropriate for the event, but not stand out too much. This was just right. Paired it with nude dress heels. I didn't notice the small side cutouts when I rented it - I probably would have skipped over it if I had known. But they were relatively small and not the focus of the dress, so I decided to just own it. Plenty of compliments, didn't have to hold my breath or not eat dinner.

Beautiful, stand-out dress
I rented this as a second option for a work gala. I selected the Marilyn gown instead. These events are more about looking appropriate but not standing out as an employee. So... this dress with its high slit and open back (there is a single hook at the back which closes a shoulder-to-waist slit - be sure to have the correct undergarments), while gorgeous, was a bit too extra for where I was going. Would definitely rent for an event I was attending as a guest.

Comfortable and dressy
This dress ticked all the boxes for a work gala event. I knew it would be chilly and that I'd be coordinating a lot of details with people - so sleeves and pockets were top priority. Also this dress is very comfortable. The skirt has enough sparkle to highlight a dressy event but this dress is not something you wear to stand out in - it's not a showstopper. But it was perfect and exactly what I wanted for this moment.

Wore this with the Blue Simonetta Gown, and it was perfect. Paired with black suede pumps. It's simple and dressy but not an attention grabber. Given the dress I was wearing, that's just what was needed.

Great, unique event item
This was a fun changeup from the usual gowns I tend to wear at major events. I really enjoyed it, It was short from shoulder to crotch, though. Which, got a little awkward but not so much that I couldn't enjoy myself. Still looked good!

Conservative yet also Va va Voom
I rented this dress for a formal fundraiser. It looks FANTASTIC on. The slit is high but not outrageous, and I felt I could get away with it since everything else was covered up. The fit was SNUG. I wanted to wear some spanx or similar to hold it all in but... there was no room for such things. Once it was on, it looked great and I got compliments all night.

Great formal dress, and POCKETS
Wore this for an opening gala for a Monet exhibition and felt right on brand. Loved the pockets - could coordinate with VIP speakers and their security details while still fitting in with the formal-ness of the moment. Skirt was slightly long (I'm about 5'6") even with heels and I found myself picking up the skirt to make sure I didn't trip.

Great color and design, too much sideboob
I usually wear a size 2, and the Size 8 was a better fit than the 6. I don't have a large chest, but there was WAY too much sideboob on display for this event, which I was attending in a professional capacity. Did not wear either size.

This is a really lovely dress. The sizing was fine. What I didn't anticipate was that the fabric is stretchier than I expected. So, the dress was too clingy for the event I planned to wear it to. Bottom line - great dress for a hot night out with your S.O. Not ideal for a professional event.

Perfect
I work at an art museum so I have to simultaneously dress to fit in at formal events and also fade into the background all in one go. This is perfect. It's a simple, stylish blank canvas, and you can play around with shoes and jewelry. If I were to buy a RTR dress, this would be it. Added points for our fashion curator paying me a compliment. Was ready to drop the mic for the night.

This was a beautiful dress and the color and fabric are lovely. But the skirt was too long even with heels. It was my backup style, so it was not a problem. But a taller person (I'm about 5'6") would look fab in this.

Very arty and unique
Wore this to a modern-art museum opening and felt like I fit in with the works on the walls. The only thing I didn't LOVE about this dress is that the bodice and the skirt meet and... meh. Not much happens. I don't have much hips or boobs, so it would probably be fine for someone with more curves. I looked a little one dimensional but I didn't care because I loved the design so much.

Great dress, lots of compliments
This was a great selection and, though it is midi in length, I felt totally comfortable wearing it to a black tie event. Lots of compliments. I would note, however, that the dress started to stretch as the evening went on. Because it was backless I felt a little insecure about possible gaps, despite wearing the right undergarments.

Beautiful dress, well made, nice fabric. My problems: This dress looks great on the model, and I think it still could work for the right body type. I'm slender and medium height. I think you need to be taller to pull this off (especially in October) without looking like Elvira. I didn't wear because it looked witch costume-y on me, and also because I wanted to show less bust at a formal gala where I would be seated with a number of professional contacts. Finally, for the fit, I ordered size 2 and 4. I'm normally a 2. This dress Size 2 waist was impossibly tiny. Size 4 waist fit, but the rest was too large/drapey. So if you're tall, have a tiny waist and a large bust - congratulations! And also, this may be a great dress for you. But not for me.

This was my backup dress, and I loved it best
This is an elegant dress in an eye popping color. I received compliments from strangers of all ages/genders all evening long. You will definitely stand out in the sea of black. Only thing I would change is that the hook above the zipper is right under your arm. It is literally impossible to put this dress on correctly by yourself.

Pretty and unique
RTR sent me this as an alternate to my two other dresses didn't fit correctly. I haven't made it to the event yet and I've gotten about 10 compliments just in the office. The dress has pockets, which I didn't realize - a nice bonus. I generally wear a 2 but the 0 fit perfectly on top. The pleating at the front of the skirt is a little funky - I sort of wonder if it makes my belly look poochy, but the skirt is so fun that I just don't care.

This dress is stunning and elegant
Sadly, this dress does not come in 0R. The 2R was slightly too large, so I could not wear it. But the fabric and the attention to detail in this dress is amazing. The color is understated but slightly different than all the black in the room. Also, the cut is pretty and flattering, but totally appropriate for a formal function where you want to maintain professionalism.

GORGEOUS dress
This was a backup, backup dress. I was unable to wear because it was a size too small, but I will ABSOLUTELY work to get this in my size for another event. The fabric is beautiful, the cut is beautiful. Only reason for the missing 5th star is that I didn't get to wear it!

I generally wear a 2 or a 0, depending on the designer. This dress was very pretty, elegant and forgiving. But the neck/collar was simply too tight. I didn't feel comfortable wearing it while sitting down/dining at a gala, so I wore one of my own dresses.

Great dress
This was my backup dress for a formal art museum gala. I work there, so I need to look appropriate but not over the top. This dress was perfect. The fabric was comfortable/not restricting. Length was actually a little on the short side. I wore 2.5in heels and it didn't quite hit the floor, but since I was working the room I was grateful to not have to manage a hem. I had some challenges getting the foldover sleeve right, but it looks sleek and classy. I swapped out the fabric tie belt for a gold belt with gold accessories. Perfect for fall/winter!

This dress is fab-u-lous. I wore it for an industry awards event in NYC. It was cocktail attire, but some people go formal and some people roll in after work, so the dress runs the gamut. This dress was PERFECT. The fabric is dressy enough, and the cut is feminine and formal without that low-cut-, red lace, too short trying too hard look. The color is gorgeous, esp for those with light coloring like the model. Love, love, love this dress

not quite right
i really love the look of this dress, but it didn't work on me. I have a boyish figure - not a whole lot of curves. Still, where I did have them pulled the dress awkwardly. Further, the lining layer and the top layer of the fabric didn't sit together smoothly. It seemed like it may have been cleaned one time too many. Anyway, It was just awkward so I sent it back without wearing to my event.
