Had potential...not perfect...
I wanted to like this better than I did. If I hadn't had a better option, I might have made it work. Issues: 1) the straps were long and needed pinning in order for my boobs to be properly supported; 2) the fabric is not that, that stretchy and therefore doesn't lie totally smooth; 3) I'm wide at the hips and trumpet skirts are just a bad idea. If you're narrow, this might be a great style to make you look curvy. Color is pretty.

Cushnie is hit or miss for me and this style was a HIT! Fit was great, very true to size. It's designed to show off the woman wearing it. So if you're in good shape - go for it! The dress looks classy, expensive. You can't wear a bra but it provides good support - sort of like a decent bikini top. My husband loved it and so did all of my friends.

Very sexy. Beautiful color. Soooo many enthusiastic compliments. I was worried about managing my boobs since I have splayed breasts and am a 32DD but all I needed was a little fashion tape. I usually rent higher end dresses and wondered about the quality but the quality was fine. If you're on the fence, try it!

This dress has some gorgeous, fine pleating that makes it look very classy. The color is pretty and it is generally flattering. I wore a different dress because I liked it better for the occasion but will rent this one again in the future.

The black part is very nicely structured. It was a little narrow/tight at the top so you may want so I would make your backup size one size up, especially if you're busty or if your arms are a little bigger.

SO Classy!
This dress oozes sophistication. It looks expensive. It fit like a glove. The deep purple is very pretty (though be warned, it can photograph as black depending on lighting). It is very figure flattering and sexy in a very non-revealing way. I wore it to a business related party and it was entirely appropriate. In two separate instances, women who were not part of my group and didn't know me, pulled me aside to ask me where I got this dress. Highly recommend it. You can use a strapless bra with it or go braless.

I just don't learn that peplum tops are not for wide hipped girls! I gave this one a shot because I didn't have a lot of options and, sure enough, it makes me look bigger than I am. Other than that, it's great quality.

I really wanted this to work!
I'm giving up on this glossy jersey fabric from Cushnie et Ochs. I generally love their dresses but this fabric actually shows some lumps and bumps (and I don't have a lot to hide!) and the outline of my Spanx. I tried to ignore that but what really made me not wear this is that my nipples showed through. I tried using a pasty to cover them and that also showed through. Bra lines would have shown as well and a bra would have been awkward to manage with the shape of the top. Beautiful design and beautiful color but this fabric really doesn't deliver. It's especially disappointing for a dress that is so expensive at retail.

Wow! I usually don't do patterns and I wasn't even that into this dress when I saw it many times on the site. One day I was really digging and I noticed how passionate the reviews for this dress were. I'm so glad I tried it. It's a fantastic dress. It RUNS SMALL. I went up two sizes (from a US 4 to a US 8) and it fit beautifully. People downright stopped me to compliment my dress. The fabric is so beautiful and not too shiny; but I also wouldn't wear it in daytime. I wore it to a relatively conservative event and it was perfectly appropriate.

Another knockout from Narciso!
Gorgeous dress! Looks underwhelming on the hanger but put that thing on. So sexy. So classy. The only challenge with it is that the halter strings close with two teeny tiny buttons at the top that can easily come undone. If both come undone, your boobs are totally hanging. But I only had one come undone a couple of times and felt it each time so I could quickly fix it.

Gorgeous dress, big at the neck
This dress is stunning. The workmanship is gorgeous. Very classy. I'm between a size 4 and a size 6. I ordered the 6 since the 4 wasn't available. The 6 was quite big on my neck and my back. I would have had to at least pin the neck in order to wear it but I ended up wearing something else in my order.

Underwhelmed
I really wanted this dress to be amazing - not so. For this sexy minimalist concept to work, it needed to have perfect construction, to look really tailored, to fit like a glove and it just didn't quite get there. I feel like the main section of the dress wasn't structured enough, despite having something resembling a corset on the inside.

Best combination of sexy and classy!
So chic! This dress is a stunner! I was wearing it to a work related formal event so I had to pin the front a little as well as the slit. But it fit like a glove and I felt awesome in it. I am 5'3", 32DD, and currently 123 lbs and I wore a size 4. The only small issue was that the top half of the waistband would flip over when I was sitting, making me feel like maybe it was too tight but I think a larger size would not have been right when I was standing. Love, love, love this dress!

Odd fit, gorgeous dress
I had been dreaming of this dress and really wanted it to work. The top, however, was huge on me, and I'm pretty busty - 32DD. Weirdly, so was the upper half of the waistband section. I'm 5'3" am currently about 123 lbs and hourglass shaped. I tried on a size 6 because a 4 wasn't available and that might have been better. However, while the 6 was big on top (starting exactly at the waistline), the zipper felt pretty fitted around the bottom of my torso. So I'm not sure that a 4 would have been the solution. The craftsmanship on the dress is really gorgeous. If it fits you right, you will certainly make an impression.

Gorgeous but so very low cut
The fabric on this is beautiful and the fit at the waist is gorgeous. It looks very high quality. The fit around the hips is snug. However, it is very low cut and your whole chest is exposed if you have any breasts. It might work ok for women with very small breasts but even still, I would only wear it somewhere wear you could afford to dress on the risque side.

Unforgiving fabric
The fabric is on the thin side and very unforgiving. Even with Spanx, it would have shown some lumps and bumps. It doesn't hold you or smooth anything out in any way. Pretty color. I picked true to size as I don't think it really runs small but it was a bit tighter around the hips than I usually expect a size 8 equivalent to be on me. Could be the Italian sizing, not sure.

Beautiful dress, one flaw
This dress is gorgeous. The fabric is great. The neckline is gorgeous. The design is generally very flattering. My only issue with it, and I had this happen with another dress by the same designer, is that the zipper and fabric bunched up underneath my neck, creating a sort of (not so noticeable, but clearly there) hunch. The rest of the dress fit me perfectly and even a smaller size had zipped up and fit almost well enough to wear it. So I'm not entirely sure that a larger size would have fixed the hunch. Even if it had, I don't know if then the rest of the dress would have been too loose. My conclusion is perhaps this designer's cut isn't a perfect fit for my hourglass shape. I still got a lot of compliments on the dress, even though I wore my hair up which left the bump fully exposed. So I take that to mean most people probably didn't notice.

Lovely dress, not as form fitting as I would have wanted.
I am not a pattern person, much less floral, but the fabric on this dress is quite pretty. I kind of needed this to be very fitted and accentuate my hourglass shape in order to overcome how conservative it is and not feel matronly. I am on the smaller end of an 8 and the 8 didn't provide that level of fit. Maybe a smaller size would have but I hadn't ordered a backup size for that style.

One of my favorite rentals. A truly fab dress.
This dress fit like a glove on my hourglass figure. SO flattering. The fabric is gorgeous. The tailoring is impeccable. It looks expensive. A word of caution: it is very hard to find a bra for it given the combo of it being low cut in front and having cutouts where bra straps would go. I am saggy and busty so going bra less was not an option. I found a plunge-like strapless bra that worked perfectly.

Fabulous tailoring. Beautiful dress. So elegant.
This dress is everything I expected from a Narciso Rodriguez dress. Impeccable tailoring, great fabric, very flattering cut. I am on the smaller end of a size 8 and ordered only the size 8 equivalent since this was my backup dress. I think a size 6 would have fit me better since the charm of the dress is how it shows off your shape. I am not calling it "runs large" because the 8 wasn't very big on me, it's more that it would have been more flattering in a 6. This dress is also versatile. If you need it for an occasion in which you need to be very conservative yet elegant, you can get that look easily. If you want to glam it up or even vamp it up a little bit, it's all about the styling. Great, great dress!

Fashion editors were amazed by this dress
WOW! What a dress! So luxurious, elegant, and gorgeously done. Looks very expensive. I was at an event with fashion editors and several of them couldn't get over this dress. I am on the smaller end of a size 8, but pretty consistently an 8. For this one though, I sized down on my backup and that ended up being a good call because I wore the 6. Both fit, but the 6 fit me better around the waist and hips, accentuating my shape more, even though it was pretty tight around the arms (but I have somewhat big arms, relative to the rest of me). LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this dress. It was so hard to send it back!!! Also, this is the second Pamella Roland dress I have rented and they were both amazing.

Such a flattering cut!
This dress is extremely flattering. Trina Turk does this particular cut very well. I am usually on the smaller end of an 8, but an 8 the vast majority of the time. Yet on this one the 6 fit me perfectly. I wouldn't call it running large but I'm glad I ordered a size down for backup instead of up. Bear in mind this dress is dark GREEN, not black. You really have to see it in the light to notice, though.

This dress is very classy and chic. I wore it with sexy striking heels to add some pop and make sure it didn't look too conservative. I wore a 44 (equivalent of a US 6) even though I am normally a US 8. I think my normal size would have probably been too tenty on me.

Gorgeous dress that fit very awkwardly
Really wanted this to work but it didn't! I am usually a true 8 and tried this in two sizes (8 and 10) and neither worked. It is pretty tight on the arms and I assume that is intentional since the overall look is meant to look very tailored. But my arms are on the meatier side relative to the rest of me and so the size that was right for the rest of my body was too tight at the arms. The 10 was more or less ok on my arms, still not great, but then the waist was just a touch looser, which made the dress lose its charm.

Gorgeous gown
This was my backup gown and I didn't wear it. However, it is stunning and I plan to rent it again for a future occasion. The color is a little tricky and can make olive skinned people look a bit washed out. I would have definitely worn it with strong makeup and great earrings. The fit is great, though the strap was too long for me and I would have had to tuck it in the back with a combo of a safety pin and fashion tape, probably.

Beyond a great dress - a fabulous couture GOWN
Amazing experience. Such a structured dress. Gorgeous fabric. Beautiful origami inspired detail. Only real con was that it was a little hard to bend down in it since the bodice has a built in metal corset. But this, of course, is key to the dress since it is so tailored. Also, I was a little nervous because it has a little bit of a tail in the back and it got caught on my heel a couple of times. Highly recommend this gown.

This dress is beautiful and its very high quality is obvious to anyone who sees it. I just wish it had fit me a little better. I am on the lower end of a size 8 but not low enough to be between sizes. I'm still an 8 80% of the time. I got this in an 8 with a 10 for backup (you never know with my hips and European designers). The 8 was a moderately big around my waist yet the arms were very tight (though not uncomfortable). So if I had gone a size down, it probably wouldn't have fit my arms. While it would have been better with a more fitted waist (had I owned the dress, there was certainly room to get it altered), it still accentuated my hourglass shape. I was happy with it.

I usually wear an 8 but can totally swing up or down depending on style. In this case, I ordered an 8 and a 10 but should have ordered an 8 and a 6. After I pulled the drawstring as hard as I possibly could, the 8 fit me ok but I could see this outfit looking better if it were even more fitted. So I would have wanted to try the 6 and have a hunch it would have been better. The big question in my mind for the smaller size was length since I didn't want to wear something too too short. The 8 on me was at about mid thigh and I am 5'3". It was short but not tacky. All that said, my most fashionable friends were loving this outfit.
