First off, the size is spot on and the quality is great - a thicker crepe that falls nicely and lets you wear undergarments without showing through! I went casual and wore this to work and then a beer tasting. It could flawlessly transition into a more formal affair though. The back is a little longer than the front, which is a nice detail. This is simply adorable. My first impression was that it was much more blue than I had imagined, but I reviewed photos and it's pretty similar to what's shown. More of a silk than a chiffon. The slip was a little tight around the bust (34D) and the length was a little shorter than I'd prefer (5'8) so I'd consider sizing up if you are tall/well endowed. Wow! These are the most beautiful blue! I'm new to cropped culottes, so I can't speak too much to the shape, but the waistband is definitely small. I went up one size and would go up 2. I sized down one and was glad I did! The slit is adds a WOW factor (it goes up above your underwear line). And I could see how it would drag on the ground for some women, like a train.
