Perfect dress for a black-tie affair if you don't want to wear a gown. I wore it to a regional Emmys ceremony and it was perfect, received many compliments from total strangers all night. The top runs a little large compared to the bottom, ideally the 6 on top would've worked best for me but I went with the 8 for overall fit

I originally ordered a different dress, but RTR called me a few days before my event saying that one had been returned damaged and I would need to choose a different style. Unfortunately it was for New Year's Eve so mostly every dress I liked was sold out for those dates. This one was OK... the color was beautiful, but it wasn't the highest quality. I was just at a house party and then out at a bar in Philly, so it worked out great, but I wouldn't say it was the most flattering or that I'd rent it for any truly nice event.

I wore this to my boyfriend's company Christmas party in Washington DC. I really loved it - but I sized up to the 10 because it was a little snug in the hips. Usually 8 is a perfect fit for me. My only complaint is that the dress arrived a day late, and delayed my travel plans to DC so I didn't have much time to play with options and get the fit just right. I ended up wearing Spanx under, and was SO uncomfortable all night because of the Spanx. When I got back to the hotel room I took off the Spanx and realized the dress would've looked beautiful and flattering without them and I could've been comfortable all night. The ruching hit me in just the right place...wish I had more time before the event so I could've realized this. Overall, the dress is beautiful and simply elegant and I would recommend it for any black tie affair.

This was a really fun, beautiful, and flattering dress. It was my third RTR rental and favorite by a long shot. I received compliments from total strangers all night, and it was such a perfect fit for the venue of this wedding (upscale Hilton in downtown Cincinnati). I find Badgley Mischka runs true to size and this dress was no exception. I really didn't want to return it as I think my closet would make a fine home for such a great dress - but sadly, I had to. Basically what I'm saying is RENT THIS DRESS!

I wore this to an outdoor wedding in Pasadena, CA and the color was brilliant in the sun. I got so many compliments - it was a black tie optional wedding, and most guests did not 'opt' but I still felt like I fit in because this gown is not over-the-top. It is subtle with a very flattering cut and exudes elegance. My only complaint is that at 5'7" PLUS my 4" heels on, the dress was still entirely too long. I always order long versions of gowns, and even chatted with a RTR stylist before ordering because there were no reviews posted yet - and they told me what I usually hear which is go with the Long. People were stepping on my gown all night and I had to be extra conscious about walking so I didn't trip - so my advice, unless you're extremely tall, go with the regular length. Other than that, the size 8 fit was perfect.

The color was unbelievably beautiful! I wanted something teal for a sentimental reason, having just lost my aunt to ovarian cancer, and this was perfect. I wore it to my boyfriend's company's holiday formal in Washington, D.C. with a chunky gold/rhinestone necklace, black heels, and a soft bun. This dress was a perfect fit!
