Unrealized potential
Wasn't able to wear the large (or the backup medium.) I love the idea of this dress. I expected this likely should be form fitting to look it's best. After reading the other reviews that's why I tried my usual size and one down size. She zipped up fine. But alas, instead of looking like the beauty I hoped, the overflowing cleavage was too much to be flattering. Didn't wear it.

Loved it - better than I imagined
Based on the other reviews, I went for the 12 instead of my usual 10. It fits so nicely I didn't even bother trying to 10 on. This was super flattering and very comfortable. As usual with RTR got tons of compliments all night.

Great dress, maybe not for me personally. This was my first time with this type of dress. I rented it for a speaking engagement. My calendar changed, so I didn't actually use the dress. I can't speak to wearing it all night; I'd say the other reviews described the style well. Looks better than it photographed too.

Grateful Herve is consistent.
The only variable in Herve is how new the dress is. The newer the dress the more snug it will be. I've had to size down sometimes because of it. This one fit like new. My only mistake was not having the right undergarments. Between retaining water while travelling (had it shipped to my hotel) and not bringing my spanx - I did the dress a disservice.

Super comfy and classy
I LOVED this dress. I was so comfortable and got compliments all day and night on it. The shape and details were flattering in all the right places. The detail was more sparkly and less like the leather (pleather) I imagined.

More bling than I realized
this really sparkled all night. It wasn't too much. I'm not a fan of big statement pieces, but loved the styling on the dress I rented and with the summer sale - took the opportunity to try it out. Another great first experience.

Super Flattering and Comfy all night
It was down right comical trying to figure out where the elastic was meant to go when first putting it on - I even searched for a youtube video or instructions for the thing. After some laugh out loud trying various fits, it clicked. I was worried it would be uncomfortable for the long night we had planned when I first got it on. I don't like things on my neck. Minimal adjusting and it felt incredibly effortless all night. My date did trip on the train once, so warn your followers. I LOVED it - this was a first trying a style like this, I was worried it wouldn't work for my body shape. I'll be trying more like it.

I had 2 events needing dresses - the deal was too great to pass up! Not only were the 2 events a steal, I also got the 3rd rental and got to try something I may not have normally - since it felt like a "free" opportunity. The sale came at a great time too as I may not have afforded myself the rentals this time. Thanks for helping me feel like a million bucks without costing it, right when I really needed it.

Tried something new
I'm not usually a fan of long, flowy styles. This was a great, comfy option to try when looking to impress and do something different. the only negative in my opinion is how correct my posture had to be at all times to have this particular style look its best and flatter my body. *a good habit for me anyway - no complaints, just something to be aware of. I'm usually a 10, bigger in the shoulders, chest and thighs - the back up Medium was the better fit. I'd have been drowning in the Large.

The color was stunning! I got compliments all night
The dress looked great and was super comfortable. The color is the biggest awesomeness of this dress for me. I wore it for a business mixer. The details may fray on this dress over time, so I was a little worried but it was a non-issue. I never know if I'm a 10 or a 12 pending the designer, in this case, I'm guessing the 10 would have been fine too based on the make.

Love the fit and feel.
The thick fabric covered up the lumpy-bumpy's. The thickness, fit and structure made me feel comfortable in a dress that pushes my conservative boundaries a bit. Worth the gamble if you're worried about the cleavage. The rest of the dress is well designed to support. And there's always tape. Didn't actually get to wear the dress. The hurricane delayed shipping and it arrived when I was already out of town at my event. I tried it on to see how it fit, since this would have been my first rental.
