Unique, bright, stretchy
Not much different in fit between the small and medium. The fabric is very stretchy and comfortable. It's thick, but unlined, so definitely not very formal. I ended up wearing the M to have less of the bulge just above the arm pit, but could've worn either size. This dress photographs so beautifully. Highly recommend for a shower, graduation, etc. The pattern has both navy & black, which gives you lots of options for shoes, accessories, etc.

Pop of sparkle for the LBD
Wore this for a creative cocktail birthday dinner. Perfect for an April evening that wasn't freezing, but wasn't warm either. The fabric looks nice, but does feel a little polyester. I felt a little self conscious about my thighs, so I ended up wearing the M. I wouldn't say it runs small, but being 5'10" and generally an athletic build, I felt a little more comfortable with a little extra fabric. I loved that with this dress I could either see myself really dressing it up, or going slightly more casual with some booties and undone hair. Not my favorite dress ever, but a good option for LBD bachelorettes, going out with friends, etc. I personally would not wear it to anything more formal than that, and definitely not work event appropriate, given the short hem.

Elegant, classic
A fitted sheath, there is no stretch, and you won't be able to hide anything. Having said that, get a back up size that is bigger, and you should be fine. I had many compliments on the dress, and it was beautiful. Did not ride up, and had no issues with the lace as some other reviewers did. You need a lower riding strapless bra (or adhesive). Length was great for a tall girl. Wore this to host my sister's baby shower, and proved to be comfortable while moving around quite a bit.

Favorite dress ever
The fit is true to size and very flattering. I was able to wear a normal bra, just chose one that is a push up style with a dropped band. Despite being super low, overall I felt very secured and comfortable. The color is slightly more one the red wine side as compared to the bright red of the model picture, and even more beautiful in real life. It was the perfect dress for New Years Eve, and I hope I'll get a chance to rent it again.

If you're not petite, there's probably no way this is long enough for you
I went up a size for my regular, and an additional size up for my back up, based on reviews that indicated it may be a little short. There was no additional length in the next size up, and the issue was not that the shorts were short, but that the torso was so short the entire thing pulled up into my crotch. It was so bad, I could not even bring myself to take a picture. I'd guess that if you're above 5'5", or if you just have a long torso at any height, this is not for you. As a tall girl, I know not all rompers are made equal, but this is by far the worst fit of any I've ever tried on. Def. too bad because the fabric and pattern were really beautiful!

An all time fave
This is a great dress for a tall girl, and it was so flattering. Definitely true to size. The only area that was tight was the chest, and while I would typically never go braless, in this case I did because there was enough structure to support me, even though I'm not a super small bust. Oddly, the only thing that was a little tricky was finding shoes I liked-- neutral/nude tones were very blah, black was a bit harsh, and most of my metallics are a bit too modern. Strappy gold sandals would've probably been ideal. Overall, I'd highly recommend this dress and would love to wear it again!

Vintage flair
This dress is okay in person, though it photographs beautifully (and better than you'd ever think on the hanger). It is a thick crochet, and with the silhouette, feels like it could be from the 50s. I did get quite a few compliments, but it's not my favorite, and is a little bulky from that heavy material. Unfortunately, the material also holds the dry cleaning chemical smell, so it needed a day to air out before wearing. The fit is consistent to other Kate Spade styles-- true to size, but no stretch, so if your weight is up a little bit, you may have an issue. Overall, a really good dress, just not my favorite.

Fabric is light and vibrant
Pictures do not do the print justice. It's really pretty, and the dress was very flattering. A couple things that could be of concern: there is a LOT of skirt. The fabric is taffeta-y parachute-y, and I was joking that it was almost more dress than my wedding dress was! The longer back hem is not as prominent as the model's picture suggests, but overall the dress is still lovely. Comfortable to move and dance in, long enough for the tall girls, you can wear a regular bra, and POCKETS. The one area where the dress runs small is the underarm and chest. I am a 34C and was all but busting out, which started to impede my breathing a bit by the end of the night. If you have a larger chest, you may want to pass on this beauty.

Had so much fun I forgot to take a picture
I. love. this. dress. I have a little more weight on right now, so 6 is more normal right now than the 4 in my profile. This dress is so flattering (though I wore spanks just to feel a little more confident in the waist area). The fabric is rich and vibrant, and I actually had a hard time deciding which shoes and accessories to wear because just about everything I tried looked fantastic. I really wish I had snapped a picture or two out of sheer love for the dress. You can wear a normal bra, and it does have the little snaps in the straps, but looking back, I wish I had some additional fashion tape on hand just to better secure my bra straps. My only reason for not giving a full 5 stars is the new packaging from RTR. Unlike any other time I've ordered, this dress came very creased and wrinkled (and the hanger was broken), so I had to spend about 20 minutes steaming it. While the garment bag looks a little more professional, I was fearful to reuse it and potentially cause more wrinkles pre-wedding. Perhaps adding a hard back to the bag or some tissue paper in the folds of the dress would fix the shipping issues.

Cute and flirty
First things first-- wore this for Halloween, thus the sweater and bag of chips (went as the Utz potato chip girl). Skirt is very full, but beautiful. Dress is conservative, dressy casual, so if not for Halloween, it would be appropriate for a BC work event, shower, or a very casual wedding. I wish I had had another event to wear it to to really show it off, rather than covering with a sweater :). Highly recommended, but does run a touch big.

For the small chested only
I am, by no means, well endowed in the chest, but this dress made me feel I was (unfortunately in a bad way). The fabric and color are so gorgeous it was sad not to be able to wear the dress. I could zip the 6, but even without a bra, my skin and that little bit of fat under the armpits that we all have spilled over the top. Same in the back. I left it on for a few minutes to determine if I could make any improvements/make it work somehow, and I was in pain by the time I took it off from how tight it was, so I decided there was no way I could wear it. I think unfortunately, going up a size would've been too large in the waist, so it seems that it's simply intended for those who have A's or (maybe) B's.

Another story in the magic of RTR customer service
First the dress, then customer service: Dress: Beautiful color, even more so in real life. Right now I'm a little heavier so the 6 was the winner over the 4, don't let my usual size fool you. There are those hidden snaps on the inside so that you can wear a regular bra instead of strapless (may still want to reinforce with fashion tape as I had a few times I had tuck my bra strap back under). The skirt is full but not bulky, so super pretty. Only flaws-- there was a little bit of fraying at the ends of the lace, but totally unnoticeable unless you're a perfectionist like me. It was a *touch* short for my liking, but I could still sit and move comfortably. But if you're tall and you don't like a short dress, keep looking. Totally forgot to snap a picture, but it's super flattering! Customer service: Once again, the day was saved by the amazing customer service I received. My original dress was damaged, so RTR notified me before shipping anything and allowed me some back ups for free. None of those fit, so they overnighted this dress . It's so rare that anything goes wrong, but the fews times it has, I have been so pleased with how customer service makes sure the outcome is positive and to my satisfaction.

My favorite dress I've ever rented
While listing that it runs small, it only runs small in one place-- natural waist/rib cage. Otherwise, very true to size. I was still able to wear my usual 4, but with a tighter bra (and I don't have a particularly large chest), and it was snug. I loved the shape it gave me, though it definitely needs a good necklace to counter the very high neckline. The one on the model is what I rented and it was PERFECT. In real life, the fabric feels very rich, and the color is much prettier than the pictures make it out to be. Lastly, pockets. Enough said.

If you rent this Kate Spade dress, you NEED to rent the necklace, too!
I was a little nervous to have the gold added, since the dress is pink and black and almost gray in some places, but it was the best compliment to the dress. Even for other dresses, I found the necklace was really pretty and perfectly comfortable. There is a lot of room for adjustment, so it would work for a lot of different necklines. I don't usually rent jewelry with my dresses, but I'm so glad I did!

Perfection
It is a little bigger than expected (pretty much the size of an actual license plate!). I, however, never find that to be a bad thing. It photographed really well, and was a cute detail. I had been eyeing this clutch on Kate Spade for MONTHS and was so ecstatic when I saw RTR had it. Loved every inch of it, and wish I could own it, but then again, when else will it ever be appropriate (maybe the honeymoon)? :)

Such a pretty dress!
Listen to other reviews that it will run on your smaller size. I wear either a 4 or 6, but for most higher end dresses go up to the 6. The 4 for this dress was perfect, and it fit like a glove. It is generally very comfortable, though you will feel sequins on your shoulders/arms, as you might expect! (A little lotion will make you way more comfortable if you tend to have sensitive skin). The only thing that was a little tricky was finding shoes, as the color is a bit rosey (but SO beautiful). I would happily rent this dress again and fully recommend it!
