Does fit tightly in the waist, mine is narrow and the size 4 fit perfectly anything tighter would have felt uncomfortable after eating & drinking.  

This dress is so princessy but so perfect. Kate Spade to a T. The rose gold zipper in the back takes the cake. It's satiny and heavy so you know it's real and the pockets make it amazing. I love the way he flare gives me hips yet the top is fitted and makes me feel tiny. Kate does fit right on top so large chested ladies size up. The only thing about this dress that annoys me is the princess seam going right down the center but what else would you expect from a princess dress?

This was a perfect wedding dress since it was comfortable to dance in while being heavy enough material that I wasn't afraid if it blowing up in the wind or on the dance floor. I received so many compliments on how different it was. 

The dress fit perfectly at the material was so comfortable! I was getting compliments all day about it! Looked fine without a belt too but I thought this added a bit more flair!

The dress runs true to size and fit great. It was a little tight around the rib cage but the next size up was way too big all around. And the dress had pockets!! Loved that. I added the belt which I think made it look even better.  Great dress. Would rent again. 

Kate Spade makes fun, amazing dresses that fit well, are flattering, and usually have pockets which is always a winner. This one is no different. The pattern is really fun and bright, the fabric is high quality and moves and feels great. The only thing that confused me was the seam down the front of the dress. I belted it for contrast but you could go without.

Very cute and flattering dress for a spring wedding! The colors were great and the fabric was thick. I added a thin black waist belt for a bit of definition which for me was needed or else my shape got a little lost in the dress. The deep pockets were definitely an added bonus, kept my phone and lip gloss in there all night! Received many compliments and overall a great rental!

The dress fit like a glove and the length was appropriate for any wedding or day outing. 
I loved the material and accentuates all the right areas!

Was a little tight in the chest but not overly uncomfortable. 

I added my own satin ribbon belt and black suede booties. I also rented Kenneth Jay Lane mini mosaic drop earrings for this outfit. 

The fit of this dress was perfect. I'm short, barely 5 foot tall. I was worried this dress would look a little awkward on me with the length but it was great! The quality of the dress was like its never been worn before. I loved this dress so much I may actually buy it. 

Wore this to a beautiful evening 'cocktail attire' wedding. I was nervous because they only had a size 4 and usually I'm a size 6. Thankfully, it fit perfectly! I loved the colors of the dress as well as the quality of the fabric. The style was flattering, although I thought a little black belt helped the look, and so would definitely recommend one. I wore the necklace on the model but unfortunately it arrived missing one of the jewels. I used my make-shift crafting skills to remedy this problem, but definitely NOT a problem you want the day of a nice wedding! 

Fit perfectly and was easy to wear.  I love the colors too.  I would rent it again!

The top and midsection area runs a bit small.  I could have gotten away with the 4, but the 6 gave a bit more room up top and in the middle.  If you are larger up top I would aim towards the next size up.  
Great overall fit and look as the top and waist area is fitted and the bottom flairs out.  Perfect balance of modesty and sophistication I need to wear to the church to christen my godson.

Fit runs a little large, I usually opt for a size 4 since I am 5'10" and have an athletic build but the 2 fit perfectly. Great length and the skirt was nice and full.

I wore this to a "Best Friend Date Night" to go to the theater to see Newsies. It was great! It was cold here, but the fabric was plenty thick enough to keep me warm. I also got more compliments on this dress than I've ever gotten on one from my own wardrobe, and that felt nice :) I'm looking forward to renting another dress for the next show we see! Thanks, RTR!

This dress was beautiful! I rented an 8 and a 10 and I think I was between sizes. I ended up wearing the 8, but it was very tight around my chest. I wear a DD, so this is a common problem for me. I wore with black tights for an anniversary party and was complimented all night. 

This dress was great for a fall outdoor wedding. The material is substantial, but at the same time not too heavy. I did wear a sweater as the night went on and the temp dropped. As mentioned in previous reviews, the cut was tight in the ribcage area (but I am busty). That being said, I could still fit into the 10 which is my normal size. The A-line cut was really flattering for my curvy shape - accentuating areas I like and hiding those I don't. This was my first experience with RTR and I will definitely use this website again!

This dress was beautiful and very well made. I am a little small up top so I had to wear a bra. The dress has pockets too which is always a bonus!

Loved this dress! Felt classy and feminine with the flared skirt and color.  It was perfect for the occasion.  This dress definitely ran small through the midsection - I would recommend going a size up.  I ended up using my second size 8.   

I am very small on top and the size four fit snug on top but I was comfortable.  The fabric had nice body to it which could also make it warm for some. 

The dress is very well made (it makes you look like you have a tiny waist!) The bottom is very full and flairs out a bit - flattering for all body types!

Fit - a little tight around the bust. Probably should have sized up to an 8 for my second size. I didn't even try on the 4, the 6 fit for sure, but would have been good to have another option.

Wore this to my brother in laws outdoor September wedding in Tahoe. I was comfortable all night! I didn't get too hot yet it's a thicker material which actually helped as the temperature started to drop in the evening. Wore with black peep toe heels. Recommend this dress!

I am between dress sizes 4 and 6 at the moment as my lower half is now a six :(.  However, this dress was perfect in a 4 with this silhouette and I was still able to step into it.

The dress fit perfectly.  It was extremely flattering.  All the reviews about it being snug through the chest were accurate.  It was comfortable and absolutely beautiful.  Some folks said that the pink was more than expected.  I thought all of the colors mixed well.  Love RTR can't wait for my next event!

The material is a bit heavy, so it's probably not great for a super hot day. I also don't think if you are particularly large-chested that it would work for you, as it fit me exactly.

I don't think the photos do this dress justice. I feel in love when I put this dress on. It's a thicker fabric but was perfect for a summer outdoor wedding August. I loved all the shades if gray and pink in the dress! Fits pretty true to size and has pockets! It fit me like a glove and did not want to send it back. I received many compliments and felt great all night in the dress!! I so rented the Lilly Pulitzer necklace the model is wearing, I loved it with the dress. Although the dress a busy pattern, the necklace was a great addition. #wedding #popofcolor 

Fits true to size for Kate Spade, could have worn the 2 but it was small in the bust so stayed with the 4. The material is gorgeous but lined and thick, so be careful if it's hot out!

This dress was really nice and fun to wear.  It was very comfortable and had pockets.  My first dress arrived damaged with a hem that hung below it but Rent the Runway was able to send out another the next morning just in time for me to leave to our function.  The dress fit in my usual size and I did not order a backup size.  I would rent this dress again.   

This dress is beautiful & comfortable!  It was a but heavier than I thought if would be, so it's not so great for when it's hot outside, but otherwise beautiful!!

Like some reviews have stated it is a little tight in the bust, but not uncomfortably so. This dress was extremely comfortable and was very easy to move around in. Would definitely rent this one again. 

This is a pretty and comfortable dress.  I sized up which made it very comfy around the waist.  The armholes & shoulders were perhaps a little big on me, but I prefer to be comfortable over wearing a dress that squeezes me.  It's fairly thick fabric, and it is completely lined.  This particular dress no longer had its rose gold zipper; it had been replaced by a silver zipper which didn't slide all that smoothly.  Took quite a bit of care to keep the lining from getting stuck in the zipper.  Also, the dress needed a good pressing to remove what looked like "bubbles" between the outer layer and what it was bonded to.  The dress had some condition issues, but RTR customer service resolved them very well.  I also chose the necklace shown on the model - thought it went with the dress nicely.  

The only complaint I have about this dress is there's really no stretch to the fabric. I have 34DD and I usually wear a size 8.  I pretty much had to cram my chest to for in a size 8 and the size 10 wasn't available. But it didn't look crazy  after zipping it since the fabric is pretty thick. 

While listing that it runs small, it only runs small in one place-- natural waist/rib cage. Otherwise, very true to size. I was still able to wear my usual 4, but with a tighter bra (and I don't have a particularly large chest), and it was snug. I loved the shape it gave me, though it definitely needs a good necklace to counter the very high neckline. The one on the model is what I rented and it was PERFECT. In real life, the fabric feels very rich, and the color is much prettier than the pictures make it out to be. Lastly, pockets. Enough said. 

This dress was perfect!!! I got so many compliments on it. It's very comfortable  and I love the pockets! I ordered size 4 but the 2 seemed to fit a little better, I recently lost weight though so I think the fit is true to size. Definitely another great RTR moment!

Dress fit great, the bust is slightly unforgiving but it wasn't a problem, I would definitely recommend this dress to anyone! 


I wore it with black peep toe shoes, the matching necklace and bag and some black stretch bracelets and black diamond earrings. It was so comfortable and allowed me to enjoy the entire night. Another great dress from Kate Spade!

I rented this for a rehearsal dinner at a winery. For perfect. I wore the smaller size because the arm holes were a tad large. I added a skinny black belt which I thought really helped. Fabric is lovely

Fun to dance in with its large skirt, and convent for phone and lipstick with its pockets. I've always loved Kate and this dress in no exception. Was a bit tight in the bust but the larger size was too loose everywhere else. I wore this to my cousin's wedding and was out and about for an entire day and night - so comfy! This dress and a simple pair of heels was all that I needed. 

The fit is very flattering and the dress was really easy to wear. The pockets were great and that's always a huge selling point in my book. 

The cons of this dress were as follows: 1) the dress runs a little small so I had to go up a size. If you plan on eating a bunch while in this dress go up a size because it doesn't stretch. 2) this dress has clearly been worn a bunch. Only someone who is looking would notice, so an outside observer wouldn't be the wiser, but the fabric definitely felt like it had been worn a bunch of times. 3) supporting point 2, the size 10 came with a wonky zipper. Good thing I didn't need it, but just zipping it (without it on) the zipper fell off the track a couple times. And the classic Kate Spade bow that should be the zipper pull was missing and replaced with a basic zipper pull for the size 10. 

It worked out in the end but it was one of my least favorite dresses that I have rented. Looked fine but it didn't feel as fabulous and high end as other dresses I have rented. 

Gorgeous dress that was really fun to wear. I loved how the material felt and how it made me look. I would definitely recommend this dress and I'm actually considering renting it again in the near future for a wedding. 

I rented this for a baby shower.  There was not a back up size available so I just got my normal size.  I was able to zip the dress just under my rib cage, and that is where the zipper stopped.  I've worn a lot of other Kate Spade dresses and am a true 4.  I think the stitching makes the cut smaller, because as others have said it is tight in the bust.  Since it didn't fit and I didn't have a back up, I was unable to wear this dress.  Definitely size up for your back up size. 

I received so many compliments on this dress. The fit was perfect, if maybe slightly loose. But I would rather have it be loose/comfortable than too tight. It was an appropriate length and was easy to accessorize. I would definitely rent again. 

This dress was perfect! The fabric is thick and great quality, and I received compliments all night long.  I got this dress but were only able to get it in the 4, so I was nervous it wasn't going to work out but it was a good fit, however for the second size I would actually advise going down because there was some wiggle room. Pockets were a great touch! 

The dress was pretty, but a little tight in the bust and arms. The bigger size was too big (if only there was a 7! Lol). The lining underneath kept showing which was a little annoying that I kept having to hike up, BUT it was a very nice dress and I got showered with compliments :) the color and shine in pictures are great!

The dress looked really cute for my date night. The fabric is a thick cotton material but had less shine than I was expecting. The dress fit snug through the ribs and chest like many of the other reviews mentioned, but that works for me because snug on the belly is what I have to avoid. This dress was flattering to my mommy tummy. I gave it a three because the lining hangs out of the bottom of the dress (another thing other reviewers mentioned), the zipper catches a bit, the seam down the center would shift during wear and I had to adjust it, and I just believe the dress is starting to show some wear. However... it was absolutely adorable on and was great for dinner, wedding, shower, etc. 

I ordinarily will wear a size 4 but squeezed into the 6 for my nephew's wedding.  Knowing that Kate Spade dresses run small I ordered a 6 with an 8 as a backup.  The 8 had a longer waist but was all around too large in the chest.  I ended up wearing a silver belt with the 6 at my actual waist (which was below the dress's waist) so I didn't look so large.  I received a lot of compliments but would not rent again because it just wasn't a good fit for me.

I loved this dress, I've had my eye on it for months and I finally had the perfect wedding to wear it. I usually wear size 4 or 6 dress but the 6 was sold out so I rented a 4 and 8 and I'm so glad I got the larger size since I ended up wearing the 8. The top part of the dress is very fitted, if you have larger than a C or D cup I definitely think you should size up, I could barely zip the size 4 and breathing wasn't much of an option but the 8 was perfect. This dress is also great for taller girls, I'm almost 6ft and the length was just above the knee which can be hard to find. I loved the pockets and they were a great surprise. A few other people have pointed out that the lining of the dress hangs slightly lower than the top but it didn't really bother me. Overall I loved this dress, I wanted to keep it! 

The fit of this dress was perfect. The material is heavier than expected, but perfect for a breezy beach wedding. I got a ton of compliments and loved this dress! 

Overall the dress was very flattering and comfortable. I think I would have ideally wore a size smaller but it wasn't available so I just went with the four. The style and cut of the dress was very forgiving so the larger fit wasn't that big of a deal. Bonus: dress has pockets!

This dress is extremely thick, it's basically a blanket. I wouldn't recommend renting this for an outdoor summer event. 

I originally ordered the size 2 and 4. The size 2 I wasn't available so I was able to pick a different dress along with the size 4 from my original order of this dress. I decided to wear this dress in the size 4, as opposed to the other style dress they shipped to me, apologetically.  
Although the stomach/waist was loose, this dress was so pretty, feminine, and photographer extremely well. 

I rented this dress for a military retirement ceremony and it worked out perfectly. the length was just right for the occasion. The only thing I didn't like was that the seam ran right up the middle of the dress, but that's not a deal breaker. I would definitely rent this dress again. 

Rented this dress for a June wedding. The fit was true to size and the dress itself was beautiful. The flare was really fun and people complimented the dress all night! 

I loved wearing this dress. I normally wear a 6 but was able to fit in the 4 just fine. The fit of the dress was perfect for my figure. Loved the pattern and the fabric was beautiful. Added bonus: pockets!

Tight in the chest but a great dress. Love the pockets! My first rent the runway experience was great with this dress. 

This dress was cute but I wouldn't rent it again. I had to rent a size up because my regular size wasn't available and it was big on me. I had to add a belt to show my waist. Overall it was ok. 

I rented this for my future sister in law's bridal luncheon. The 6 fit better in the waist, but there's no way I could have worn a bra as it was very tight up top. The 8 was a little looser than I would prefer in my waist, but not wearing a bra wasn't an option. The liner was a little longer than the hemline, but you could easily fix it with fashion tape or a pin. Very comfortable, feminine dress!

I am a kate spade addict, however, this dress runs large! I wore the size 2 and the waist was huge.... I wore a black thin belt and it made a huge difference, I'm very surprised this dress doesn't bring a belt. The fabric is on the thicker side, the pockets are deep. The zipper on the back is a little tricky, I needed help. Overall great dress

This was my least favorite dress I've rented from RTR. The material is very thick. The lining gets in the way of the zipper, not to mention it hung lower than the dress itself which I can't stand. There were multiple ... ripples (?) in different parts of the dress and not having a steamer I was afraid to iron it so I had to let them be. The only thing I liked about this dress was that it sucked in my stomach and had pockets.
