Neutral but with some sparkle
LOVED the fit of this gown-- so easy to wear, so flattering. The fit is very casual, but the very subtle sequins give the dress a little bit of flair, and the neckline is really elegant (at least on my small chest-- it might be more exposure for someone with a much larger chest). I don't usually wear this color but it looked much better on my skin tone than I expected. Really loved it!

Like a walking disco ball
I got SO many compliments on this jumpsuit-- it's outrageous, but a lot of fun. The shape is not super flattering (at least not on my body), and it doesn't do much to show your waist or your butt, but it's so bold and dramatic that I don't think the fit mattered much. It was also VERY comfortable and awesome for a full night of dancing. Got a pretty hot and sweaty on the dance floor-- would not recommend for a mid-summer rental. Nice to be able to choose how high to zip it up in front.

Perfectly sized, very cute!
Able to fit my iPhone, multiple lip products, ID/credit card, and house keys, with room to spare. Could actually keep the chain inside until the company holiday party devolved into dancing st a bar, when I used the chain and make the bag kind of a cross-body. Very cute! Glad I rented because I think I would do some damage over the long term (outside of bag seems like it could be prone to snags/tears and stains) but it was a GREAT rental.

Very new style for me, but I loved it!
I was worried about the length of this on my 5'4" frame, and once I tried it on I was worried about my stomach and hips, but a pair of black tights solved both problems -- it didn't need full Spanx because the material is nice and heavy, just the control top of the tights, and having my legs in black tights seemed to help with the potentially awkward midi length (and the tights were necessary for the temps!). Ultimately I was really happy with the dress, and as usual, I loved a risk-free chance to step out of my style comfort zone. Other pros: The netting of the shoulders and sleeves was comfortable, not itchy, and didn't catch on things often. Sleeves were actually long enough for my long arms. Color was gorgeous and I think would flatter many skin tones & hair colors. Fit: could have worn S or M, but once i got the tights on, I thought the S was more flattering.

Great way to dress up a casual outfit for work/class
Loved this necklace! It added just the right sparkle (and maybe a little edge?) to my white top. It won't pair well with all necklines - I had planned to wear it with a deep V dress but it is too long and so hung awkwardly around the neckline of the dress. Note that the photo makes it seem like there's two separate necklaces - that's not the case, as all 3 strands are attached at the same clasp.

Simple and classic
These bracelets were lightweight and easy to wear. They are relatively casual - I felt they worked best at work or in class, and I decided not to wear them to my birthday party as I had initially planned. I liked that they would match either gold or silver rings/necklaces/earrings.

Felt like this dress was made for the event (black-tie Indian wedding)!
Overall, this was a beautiful, well constructed, elegant dress... that wasn't very flattering on my body. Elegant, yes - sexy, not so much. The lining of the skirt portion is tight but stretchy, while the lack of stretch in the bodice is what made me choose the 4 over the 2. It was a little tight in the arm holes for me, but this is usually where I have problems with dresses. The bust had extra room on my 34B chest but might be tight on a larger chest. The length just covered my knees. Overall, I thought the shape of the dress was not at all flattering. The peplum gave the impression that I'm the same width in my shoulders, waist, and hips, without giving any definition to my waist. I definitely didn't feel sexy when I looked in the mirror.... BUT the fabric was beautiful, the gold detailing and sheer overlay in the skirt were very elegant, and the style was absolutely perfect for the black-tie Indian wedding I attended. The dress is really stunning, and if there's an event where you'd rather look elegant/timeless/classy (versus super hot), then this is a must-rent dress!

Always ok to be overdressed for your own birthday...
It does run small- I'm comfortable in a 4 and sometimes a 2 but definitely needed the medium. It's super tight, but because of the dark color, it hides a lot of what you might be worried about. It rode up a little, but wasn't too short on my 5'4" frame so I stopped noticing it. The gold detailing is very fun and makes the dress feel kind of glam (though the material and fit are more casual). Probably better for fall/winter events but I was fine in an air conditioned room!

Easy, comfortable, stylish but understated - perfect!
It's true that the dress doesn't have any stretch, but the loose fit up top means it's pretty forgiving. In part because of my smaller chest, and in part because it was more flattering in the waist and eliminated the gaping under the arms, I decided to wear the 2 (though the 4 would have worked fine). I'm 5'4" and wore 2" wedges - I did occasionally worry about the dress being too long and it did get caught on things, but it didn't cause any serious problems (and my feet were grateful for the lower heel :). You can definitely play up the jewelry with this dress, and I liked how gold looked with the mint green. Fun & easy choice for an outdoor wedding!

My favorite lace dress (of many) at the wedding :)
Pros: beautiful navy blue color, lovely lace, sexy back + conservative front, no need for a bra (for my small-ish bust), slim fit shows off your figure. Cons: it's fairly long - it reached the middle of my knees, which I liked, but may be a detractor for some; high neck - I shouldn't have bothered with a necklace, in hindsight; surprisingly wide shoulder width - I typically find that my shoulders are too broad for many dresses, but surprisingly it felt like there was a little extra material in this dress, so the neck didn't always sit flat. All in all, though, I loved this dress!

Easy fit, great color!
This dress deserves an award for how easy it was to wear - the color is eye-catching and flattering, the cut fit me perfectly, and of course, *pockets.* I wore this to a rehearsal dinner and it fit the dressy-casual style just right. I wish I had a better picture of how it fit - it really was so easy to slip into it and forget about it. Super comfortable and a great choice for spring/summer!

Good for a work event, maybe
I ended up wearing my back-up dress instead of this one. The dress was OK, but I felt like it lacked the "wow" factor - especially on a dark dance floor, the lace detailing wouldn't be visible, and it would look like any other long black dress. Unfortunately it was also missing the belt, which is sort of key to giving it any shape. If you're looking for a slightly more conservative formal gown, this might work well.

I loved seeing my husband's reaction when I first put the dress on!
As so many reviewers have mentioned, the highlight of this dress was the cut - it really hugs your curves (even if you're not used to feeling like you have any!). I have fairly broad shoulders, but didn't find the cap sleeves uncomfortable at all. I had a little trouble keeping my bra from showing above the neckline, but that probably had more to do with the fit of the bra then the dress. Despite how long the dress has been on the site, there weren't obvious signs of wear (though the hanger straps were broken). For length -- I'm 5'4", and wore about 3 inch heels, and the dress very nearly touched the floor.

Gorgeous necklace was TOO glamorous!
I probably made a mistake when I rented this, because I thought it would be edgy enough to wear to an event about AIDS activism, but when I tried it on with the t-shirt-and-blazer combo I wore, the necklace was just way too elegant. In the end I didn't wear it for my event because I would have looked very out of place. BUT for a black-tie affair, this would be stunning! The length is relatively adjustable, and the color would probably look beautiful with many different skin tones. It's a gorgeous statement piece.... just more glam than glampunk.

I loved looking like a fabulous hostess!
The dress was fantastic. The fabric is sturdy and high-quality, and combined with the shape of the dress, it gives you a really great shape - it's very flattering and would disguise anything you don't like about your hips. The very small cap sleeves are a little funky, but they give the dress an edgier look than it would have without them. I usually wear a 4, but the 2 fit perfectly - I liked having the dress a bit snug, especially since the stiffness of the fabric hides any worrisome bumps around the tummy. (Also, in the 4, the bottom of the armholes might have shown my bra a little bit.) It came to just about the middle of my knees. Though the dress photographs as a cooler color - and may look almost white - it's actually a very warm champagne tone. I guess the trim is technically black, but because it's in the gradient, it almost looks navy blue. I really loved this dress and would recommend it for any event where you want to look sophisticated, put-together, but also very fun!

I wore something much edgier than usual, but my friends loved it!
Great dress! It's quite big and blousy above the elastic waist, but that's part of the look. I have a small chest (34A-B) and usually wear very padded bras for more special occasions, but decided that this would look better with an everyday bra. It's pretty short, even on me at 5'4" - came to just above mid-thigh. The sleeves are awkward at first if you, like me, aren't used to the dolman sleeves, but they're a great statement; I had to stop pushing the sleeves up to my elbows and embrace the look. The fabric is very cool, and not at all itchy, despite the lace and thanks to a comfortable liner. Very fun, unique look!

Wedding after-party
This dress was a blast to wear to my wedding after-party. It didn't fit me perfectly - my chest was a little small which left extra fabric in the bust, but my arms/shoulders were a little big, and the arm holes felt tight - but I loved the overall look. It was a little more pink in reality (but photos make it more silvery, perhaps because of the flash).

The dress is gorgeous, but quite small - I'm about 5'4" and 125-130 lbs, with a small bust, and the 6 was extremely difficult to zip up. I really wish I had ordered an 8. The length is nice - it hit me a few inches above my knee. It's a really sexy, bold dress, very flattering, and I would highly recommend it, but just get a size up (or two, since I thought I usually would be a 4!).
