I rented two dresses for a wedding and this one didn't win. I really liked it on the hanger, and I could've worn it, but the other one was more elegant and a much better fit on me. This ran tts, as I typically wear an 8 in dresses, but it just wasn't really flattering, and made me look "thicker" than I am/than I wanted to look (for lack of a better term). Bonus points for pockets, although they're not really usable.

Worked great for our thanksgiving dinner. Confortable and pretty 

The fabric is thicker than you can tell from the RTR listing. It's almost like a thin, quilted texture, which pleasantly didn't make it too hot to wear in August. The hem has almost a wiry, bendable end, which gives it  some heft, but it's not a swingy skirt. I found the arm holes a tad lose and gaping; maybe would have done better with a 6. It was quite the compliment magnet, I'll tell you that! 


It was longer than I was expecting it to be, and much larger around the waist and lower back than I usually see for size 0 dresses. That meant I could eat as much as I wanted though! I was never worried about anything showing as it was appropriate and perfectly classy. Get this dress if you want a cool style AND comfort combined. Loved the pockets. 

This dress was comfortable and unique. It fit like a glove. My only gripe would be them hem had a heavy material in it and wasn't pressed flat so it kind of flared out just a bit awkwardly. I still loved it

This dress was simply beautiful. I rented it for my son's First Communion and felt like a million bucks. It fit like a glove, although the bottom of the skirt was impossible to iron out. I'd recommend it to everyone. 

I got several compliments on this dress from family and friends.  I felt like it fit a bit loose on me,  but I had recently lost a bit of weight.  I thought the dress would have some iridescence or shimmer from the picture, but it does not.  The pockets were cute, but I didn't need to use them. Otherwise, a great dress.  

I was in charge of a major fundraising / formal event. This dress was great! Loved the thick fabric & modest cut. Allowed regular & comfortable undergarments!  And no worries about any bumps or bulges showing. Only complaint: like other reviews, the hem is oddly bent, and stiff - hard to flatten out. Steaming & ironing did not help. 

I'm short and the dress was the perfect length, not too short and not too long.  Lots of compliments and a fun dress too!  Pockets in the dress are not useful and really unnecessary, but you hardly notice them. 

Lovely! Comfortable and easy to wear; the fabric is beautiful! Photos online of the dress and even looking at the dress on the hanger doesn't do it justice. Try this one!!!

Rented this for a daytime family party.  I am between sizes, 10 or 12.  I had to go with the 12., which fit perfect.  Loved the pockets.  Overall, a nice dress 

I was undecided about this dress through the order process up until I put it on. The event was a semi-formal gala and the dress worked well. It is a champagne color - ivory but with some green undertones. The skirt and sleeve detail looks like beading but is metallic fabric. It has a little but of shine between the fabric and the detail but is not trying too hard. The fabric has an interesting texture. Other reviewers complained about the pockets - they are for posing, not carrying things.
The cut was comfortable and did not require special undergarments. Overall I liked it and received a lot of compliments. The hem did that wonky thing mentioned in other reviews but I decided to believe it was part of the texture. Overall, it worked. Gold or bronze shoes look best - I tried on silver first but they clashed a bit. 

I wore this dress to a conservative family party that I hosted and I got compliments all night! At first, when I tried it on, the skirt stuck straight up in the back. I contacted RTR and they suggested that I steam it. Then I noticed a tag inside that says "DO NOT STEAM" so I got nervous. I ended up weighting it down under some heavy books for about 5 hours. It worked! It's not supposed to lay completely flat. There is a little crinkle to it which makes it interesting, but it's not supposed to stick up so drastically. The color is a beautiful champaign that can easily be worn in any season. Small pockets in the front are a bonus. I probably could have sized down for my extra size. The 6 fit with some room to spare. This dress can be worn with a regular bra and black heels. 

The dress was a great length and well fitted with pockets! Would definitely rent again

Got this dress for free as my bday dress with the PRO membership. Wore it to work and then out to dinner. Very thick material and has pockets in the front center. Haven't seen pockets in this Location before. I feel like it made the dress seem a bit puffier or bulkier but I think it still looked nice. I think it was pretty true to size except in the chest. I'm in between a B and C cup and it was rather tight. Overall I'd recommend this dress. 

I loved almost everything about this dress.   I was happy I ordered up a size,  as the bust was quite tight.     Other than that it felt great and fit well.  

I received so many compliments! I can see what people mean by saying the chest is smaller. I could have probably wore a size four in the waist, but the size six fit better around my chest. The dress made me feel sophisticated but attractive at the same time. I would definitely recommend it! 

This dress was near perfect for my tall frame and small chest.  It was super comfortable and easy to dance in.  There really wasn't anything I didn't like about the dress.  Even strangers came up to me to compliment the dress!

I wore this dress for a baby shower and everyone loved it! So many great comments... Over it fit good, but would have liked to have a size 4 as my backup instead of an 8. Pockets were super fun!


The fit is perfect. It's very comfortable. Wear your favorite black shoes with it. This dress can be paired with so many different shoes, bags, types of jewelry. Very versatile. I wore it to dinner and to see Hamilton. I was very pleased with my choice of what to wear.

I rented this for my wedding shower.  First, the fabric is AMAZING.  The black parts of it are embroidered on, it is very high quality.  But, there were to weird things about the dress.  (1) There are pockets in a very strange place.  They were too far to the front and it looked absolutly ridiculous to put anything in them.  (2) There was something sewn into the bottom hem of the dress to give it structure - but it had warped.  I wasn't able to iron it out, so it had some vrey funky shape going on in the bottom.   The bust was tight and I ended up wearing a bralette instead of a regular bra because the fabric was pulling (and I'm only a 34B).   I got a lot of compliments on this dress, and again, the fabric is to die for.

Got lots of compliments on this dress. After I ordered I was worried that it would look a little too futuristic with the embellishment on the shoulders, but it was beautiful. Nice, thick fabric but not too hot to wear for spring. It's definitely more of a champagne color than the lighter beige that it sometimes photographs as. Nice length on me (5'7"), I was comfortable all night and not worried about bending over or anything. I ended up not wearing a bra because when I did you could see the outline of the cups/straps and I didn't like that look. The bust was fitted enough that I was find going without even with my ~36C chest. Overall, I was very happy with this dress!

I wore this under my gown and for my graduation party. The dress was stunning and made well. However, I went up a size and it was still super tight on top. I also wore a bra with it and it was very visible. I would suggest getting a back up size and now bra! 

I wore this dress to a rehearsal dinner and received so many compliments. It was so comfortable! The chest was a little snug but the overall fit was perfect. I'd definitely recommend this dress. 

Fits true to size.  The fabric doesn't stretch but it did hug my curves well.  I just loved the design!

This dress was perfect for an outdoor evening wedding. It's a classic and I wish I owned it. 

I rented a 0 and a 2. I normally wear a 0 but I have kind of broad shoulders and I felt like the 0 was a little tight across them. So I wore the 2. It was more comfortable. 
The dress was very pretty, especially in pictures. I got lots of compliments! It has pockets but they are little and they are right in front, not really a good spot. 
I would definitely rent a dress again. It's exciting to receive the dress and super easy to send back.

The dress fit wonderfully! It's a unique material that was great for winter (and workable with tights). Unique, and I got a ton of complements!

I loved the dress! The 2 was a little tight on the bust and shoulders, but the 4 was perfect. I loved the length (just above the knees), the fabric was thick (perfect for the chilly, fall wedding), and the cut was very flattering. I got compliments all night. Sending it back was sad.

I ordered this dress for a work holiday party. Previous reviews noted it may run big so I order my usual size 4 with a size 2 as a backup. The size 4 fit perfectly. (I did try on the size two and it was very tight across the shoulders even though i did like the fit on the skirt better on that one.) I wore it with black tights and black wedges since it was a winter event and got many glowing comments. The dress was super comfy and has small pockets in the front. The pockets aren't deep enough to put anything of worth in without fear of it falling out (I really wanted to but my activity tracker in there but was scared it'd be gone by the end of the night.) My only problem with this dress is that the hem is very thick and heavy. This is great for the structure of the dress however when I took it out of the mailing box, the hem was very wrinkled and I had no way of making it smooth. Overall, I loved the dress though!

Unfortunately I waited until last minute and a size 2 was unavailable but I think that would have fit better. Still a flattering and comfortable dress. 

I rented this one as a back up in case the one I originally picked didn't fit. Glad I did because this was way cuter on than I thought. The dress on the hanger looked weird and not what I thought it would look like and I was disappointed. However, when I put it on, I loved it!! Got so many compliments, including one from President George W. Bush as it was a holiday party where he was attending that I wore it to! Definitely would rent again and recommend to anyone. 

Based off the reviews that other girls my height, weight, and body type wore-I selected my size. I never thought I'd wear a 2 but sure enough, it fit perfectly (I also got the 4 as back up). It was snug but I liked that. The pockets were awesome, used them to hold my phone. I received lots of compliments. I wore black hose and black wedges. I rented a gold cuff to wear. 

I LOVED this dress. I wanted to keep it so badly! The cut of the dress is very flattering and the length is perfect. I am 5'10" and almost always have a problem with dresses ending up way too short, but this one was a home run. The fabric feels heavy (not in a bad way) and expensive; a plus was that I was able to wear any kind of bra or underwear that I wanted because of the cut. I don't have the most toned mid-section and this dress hid any imperfection I would have been worried about. Only negative-ish thing I would say is the dress was pretty tight in the chest. I wore it to a party honoring a friend of my fiancé's; it was a formal party and I felt perfectly in place. I give this one a 10/10!

I absolutely loved this dress! I wasn't sure about it when it came, but it looked so much better on! I received so many compliments on it.  It was really comfortable and very classy. The fit was good, it was a little tight in my shoulders but I've got really athletic shoulders so I have that problem with a lot of clothes. I would totally recommend this dress, it was amazing! 

was very happy with the rental, packaged with care and came on time, staff was very helpful and ended up wearing my back up size 6 instead of 4 so would suggest ordering your regular size plus the next size to see what fit you prefer, loved having something new to wear, got a handbag and necklace to complete the look

I usually wear a 4 but based on the other reviewers I ordered a 2 and 0 as backup.  The size 0 was perfect. I was comfortable and felt beautiful. The color is definitely okay for a wedding.
