Didn't wear it
This dress runs very large, and it has no shape. It needs a belt to look right on a woman who had a curvy figure.

Wore it 32 weeks pregnant!
I wore this gown to a Gala my non-profit runs. I'm the Executive Director and (kind-of) MC of the event. I'm also super pregnant! This gown worked well. The 14 and 16 both fit, and I went with the 16 since I knew comfort would be very important during an evening when I needed to look great and schlep auction items from here to there, run up and down from the stage, etc. I paired it with flat gold-colored gladiator sandals, a gold clutch, and gold jewelry. The compliments on my look kept coming all night long!

Great light weight earrings
I wore these for New Years Eve. They reminded me of the 70s disco era. I loved them. I especially liked how lrge they were, while still being VERY light weight. I would buy them or rent them again.

Good for 32 weeks pregnant!
Although I would NEVER normally wear this dress, it worked well for my 32 week pregnant body. I ordered the size L and XL. (I was a size 12 pre-pregnancy.) The Large was too tight around the hips and butt and too short, so I wore the XL. I wore the dress to a formal new Years Eve party in Milwaukee. It was cold, so I wore black tights and black booties. I put on a simple black belt, too, because my "waist" swam in this dress, even with my large baby bump. This dress is one of those sacks that can look cute on a straight-figured lady, but I would never wear it with my normal hourglass figure. Pluses include the beautiful ling sleeves and neat sequin pattern. Minuses include some lines of sequins missing in the pattern on the left side of the large-sized dress I received. I received many compliments and felt pretty and comfortable in this dress. At eight months pregnant, that's quite a feat.

Good size for a clutch!
See the photo. This clutch fit keys, small lotion, chap stick, cash, and cards. It would have fit a phone without the lotion. It was bigger than most clutches, and I recommend the rental.

Perfect for a birthday dinner
I wore this dress for my birthday party, a dinner out with friends. I jazzed it up with a black 3/4 sleeve bolero jacket, sensible nude heels, and a colorful necklace. I rented a gold cuff and a buff-colored purse, too. I felt super cute, comfortable, and confident in this get up. It fit my hourglass figure well. It's good for a full chest and full hips.

Great for a formal wedding
When I looked at the photos of this dress online, I thought it looked good on curvier women. I was not disappointed. It was very figure flattering on my full hourglass frame. I sometimes run into problems because dresses are too tight on my chest or around my hips, but there were no issues with this dress. I felt comfortable dancing, and the dress has an added bonus of the design element that hides any stomach. I paired the statement dress with a black sateen shrug and black heels for a Fall wedding.

RUNS SMALL - Not for hourglass figure
This dress runs extremely small in the chest and hips. I wish I would have read the reviews more closely before renting it. It's not the kind of "runs small" where it's tight. It's the kind of "runs small" where there's no way you can zip it. I'm not convinced that going just one size up would have solved this problem. It's made for a straighter body than mine. Let me say that the dress is very beautiful with thick, striped fabric, and the photos only give you a taste of how unique the dress looks in person. Also, the RTR crew took good care of me. Even though I didn't get to wear this dress, the service this company provides made me feel okay about this rental experience.

July Fourth Picnic
I wore this dress for an outdoor Independence Day celebration. It's beautiful dress and perfect for the occasion. My one complaint is the tightness in the chest. It fit well everywhere else, but if you're busty like me, then you will have to leave some buttons unbuttoned. I wore an off-white camisole with lace on the top, and it ended up working out okay.

It's cute. It's pink. It's young.
The dress is made of a beautiful brocade that you really can't see well in the photos. There's a lot of fabric in the skirt and a liner underneath it, both of which make the skirt really puffy. It's cute, but very young. The full skirt, along with the bright pink color, make it VERY YOUNG. I wouldn't recommend it for renters over 25.

Sparkling on New Year's Eve!
All pros and no cons! My husband and I went to dinner and a NYE's balloon drop. Many women wore sparkly dresses - gold and silver, mostly. The midnight blue color set this dress apart from the New Year's norm. It fit very well on my full-figured, hourglass frame. I used a little bit of fashion tape to hold it in place at the chest because it's pretty low-cut.

Cute and comfortable
I wore this dress to a family holiday party. It felt like a little extra something, but casual enough that it didn't attract attention. I wore the large because the medium lacked length to make it "great aunt appropriate" on my curvy frame. The arms and shoulders were a little tight on the medium, too. The waist on the large fit pretty large, but that was okay for the occasion.

Luscious color!
The dress fit well on my full hourglass figure. I imagine women with a smaller bust might not fill out this dress. I used fashion tape to secure it in place. The skirt fit pretty snug, even though I wore the 12, and it rode up a bit when sitting. This issue, plus the thin fabric, earns this dress a less than perfect score. The bright purple color, striped pattern on the fabric, thick waist band, and flowing front ruffle kick it up a level to a four star number. Perfect for a holiday party, paired with a cardigan and boots. I'd rent it again in the Spring or Fall to better show off the flattering fit and neckline.

Wore it for Halloween!
I wore this dress as part of a witch costume, and it was basically the best costume I saw all night. Everyone else said so, too! I was in San Francisco on vacation, and MANY strangers commented on my great dress! This dress is very low-cut, especially for ladies with fuller busts like me. It's also pretty short. I put a knee-length, black length skirt under it, and that looked okay and added some needed length. It was okay for a witch costume, but it would have been pretty risque for a normal date night.

Elegant and comfortable!
The dress fit me very well. It's great for a full-figured woman. It covered enough chest and leg to remain comfortable in conservative settings. The cinched waist flattered my hourglass figure. The red lace overlay on top of the dark blue built-in slip really popped, and it l felt really special in this dress. Strangers gave me compliments, and my husband really loved it, too. :)

The clutch fit my phone, ID, credit card, gloss - everything that I needed to carry on a date. There's a long gold chain that tucks into the clutch that you can use to carry it over your shoulder. This must be a popular rental, though, because it's well worn.

Although the dress ended up being unavailable, I was so impressed by the service that I want to write a review. A stylist (Neil) contacted me a couple days before my dresses' arrival. He let me know the dress was not available and offered to choose a dress - of any price! - to replace it. Although I ended up wearing the other dress I ordered and not the stylist's pick, I appreciated the one-on-one attention. Plus, I really looked forward to getting the fancy surprise dress.

Although this dress looks great on the model, it was not forgiving enough for a curvier women. In person, it reminded me of a Star Trek costume, and I did not end up wearing it to the wedding. I might have worn it for Halloween as a Star Trek costume, but that's about it. It fit VERY tight in the chest and in the arms. Plus, the shoulders fit differently than pictured. It's almost an off-the-shoulder dress. I give it three stars because, as always, the service, shipping, and communications was FANTASTIC!

Great Little White Dress for our one year anniversary
The dress fit very tightly around the chest, but that sometimes can't be avoided. Plus, the stylist recommended going a size up. I usually wear a size 8, and ended up wearing the 10. In fact, the stylist also let me change the order for one day earlier at the last minute to accommodate a surprise anniversary trip. I wore the dress for our first anniversary. It turned out to be really cold, so I paired it with a blue sweater, a scarf, gold pearls and earrings, and blue heels. Overall, a hit!

These earrings came as a stylist's choice surprise. I would have worn them, even though they seemed pretty heavy. I did not have the chance to wear them since the dress I rented did not fit, so I had to send everything back within 24 hours. I wish I could have worn the earrings and sent them back within the scheduled rental time, especially since I was not credited for them, but I was not sure if that was allowed. I waited on the phone for nearly an hour before giving up and including them in the return.

This is my first Rent the Runway experience, and I couldn't help but rent a second dress given the $25 extra deal. I wore the other dress for the main event and this one for a date with my husband. The cut, material, and color are all AMAZING! Very flattering on a full-figured, hourglass shape. As other reviewers note, however, this is SHORT in front. Renters - you cannot be afraid of showing some leg.

I wore the Citrus Candy Cane Dress as the hostess of a themed Christmas in July party. I felt like a fancy 1950's housewife. I received compliments all day and night about the classy style and flattering cut of the dress.
This dress is great for a curvy, hourglass frame. The cut flatters a large bust, small waist, and large hips, and it hides a tummy. Plus, the stripes are in all the right places, and they go in the exact right directions! This is my first experience with Rent the Runway, and I will definitely be back.
