My Grammy Moment
You guys. What is up with the shapes of designer dresses? I'm a size 12 in everything I own. I'm a bit more Apple shaped after three kiddos, but still within normal human woman proportions. Allllll of the dresses are meant for hourglass shapes. So there's that. After 10 dresses tried at home, I ordered this size kind of as a joke in a moment of frustration... and it fit like magic. Petite was the way to go... but I'm 5'6"... so yeah. 5'6, size 12? Cool, size 20P then. Perfect. So, that's why there aren't 5 stars. This dress will remind you that you're not a Barbie shaped creature, but - I felt like a princess on the red carpet. Brand Carlisle said she loved the lace :) Sorry for the name drop, but how cool is that? xo

Gorgeous. I wore this to a red carpet event during Grammy weekend and felt like a star.
It's a super flattering cut for a full figure. The neckline is tastefully plunging and it hugs all the right places. I felt beautiful on the red carpet.

It was my backup look. I knew it would be a safe choice and that's exactly what it was. Super comfy, cute and formal enough for the event... albeit it a bit boring. Part of the fun of renting dresses is getting out of your comfort zone a bit. I'll choose better next time.

My kids said it looked like a trash bag on the bottom.
I LOVED it out of the bag. The shape is figure flattering and I loved the top. My kids told me it looks like a trash bag on the bottom. Once they said that, I could'nt unsee that perspective. Ultimately, I didn't wear it.

You guys, I loved this look. It was for a roaring 20s party and I felt like the belle of the ball!

My favorite rental yet!
Cutest ever! I loved wearing this dress. It's super fitted on top, so you don't need a bra. The spaghetti straps made it feel sexy without being revealing. Then the dress below the bust line is just flowy and comfortable. I'm 5'6" and was able to hide gold strappy flats underneath for an outdoor vineyard wedding. The length was perfect. I had ordered hem-tape just incase, but didn't need it.

Ok, the pro? I love the color. It's like neon cantaloupe. That's literally the only good thing about it. The top is weird, blousey, and totally unflattering. It made me look like I have old lady boobs. From the waist down, it's see-through. For the outdoor wedding I rented it for, I'd have been better off naked.

I was so sad that this dress was too small for me. It's absolutely stunning in person. The color is magnificent. It runs true to size, but you need to have an hour glass shape to make it work and I'm more of an Apple. I'm going to try for it again after a few more months of pilates :)

Feels rather cheap in person.
First of all, I've rented dresses from this designer in the past and had a great fit. This dress runs smaller in the waist. It didn't work on me. Also, the fabric looks so luxurious in the photograph, but falls short in person. The beautiful little leaf prints look shabby like they've been washed too many times. I had this dress in two sizes and they both looked that way to me. I love this dress design, but the execution falls short.

I've never been complimented more in my life!
I felt like the belle of the ball in this dress. I wore it to an outdoor semi-formal wedding and got complimented all night long. I dressed it down with gold strappy flats which was perfect. The length was great too. A little long for flats, but not so much so that I needed to hem-tape it. The color in person is stunning. This might be my favorite rental yet! As far as the fit, I'm rounder in the waist, so I had to size up 2 sizes as that is where this style is the smallest. It was a little too big in the bust, but the boning made it hold up just fine.

Strange proportions.
Big in the bust, runs small in the waist. This one is made for a pretty specific body type... like Sir Mix-a-Lot's girlfriend. I could have taped the top in place, but chose another option with a better fit. The color was lovely, but this dress is not my favorite.

Lovely.
I loved this dress. I was so disappointed that RTR sent it in shambles with the lining hanging down below the hemline and a stitch repair in the meshing that was an eye sore. It was totally unwearable, but the fit and shape were so great. I was truly heartbroken. I'll definitely try to rent it again and cross my fingers that they send me something in decent shape.

I ordered this dress for the Grammy Awards. It is stunning and made well. I wear a 8 or 10 typically, but I've learned to size up with these designers. I ordered the 12 and couldn't zip it up. It was about an inch too small around the waist. My girlfriend who wears a 6 wore it to the event. It was perfect on her.

I had of trepidation about renting a dress with such a tight turnaround. I went so far as to pick up a back up dress just incase! The Yumi Kim was perfection. I'll never doubt again!
This dress was perfect for a beach party! I felt like a million bucks and got some great compliments. I paired it with a brushed gold skinny belt and gold strappy sandals. I carried a coral clutch that went perfectly. It could have easily been dressed up though as well. So versatile! As for the construction of the dress itself, it's really fantastic. The top is rather sheer so must be warn with a bra, but the bottom is lined and hangs wonderfully. Very flattering on a curvy gal! Thanks!

This dress was awesome. I ordered it as a backup look and didn't really think it looked cute in the RTR picture. I ended up wearing this dress instead! The color is a bit more vibrant in person and the fit is heaven! It hides any imperfections you may have around the middle without looking like it. I have a C cup and I felt like the neck line was that perfect blend of sexy but still classy. I could have gone with a Medium, but the large was a great length for heels. This dress is super versatile as well. Dress it up or down!

Too short for a formal affair.
I really loved this dress, but wore the other option that I rented because of the length. Typically, all the dresses are a little longer on me at 5'6" than on the 5'10" model, but I felt like this was shorter. I even sized up! The dress was so flattering, but again, just not appropriate to be sitting in for a wedding. I might rent it again for a less formal occasion.

I usually wear a 10 in a dress, but ordered a 12 as well just incase. This dress didn't even zip on me in a 12. I have a 36 C cup which apparently is HUGE in Nicole Miller's mind. I'm not sure I would have worn the dress anyway though. It's well made, but it looks very prom. The metallic accents in the fabric give it sort of a high-school look.
