The fit of this dress is not that of a typical shift dress. It fits much tighter. As you can see, it has an awkward poof in the stomach area. I can promise you that is not what my stomach really looks like. I noticed many times through out the night that the dress was riding up a bit & creating a poof in the stomach. Not cute. I probably wouldn't recommend this dress, even though I loved the lace & color. If you do decide to get it, go up one size because it runs small. And maybe go up another size to get a true shift dress & maybe you won't have the stomach poof like I did.

This dress runs true to size. The quality of the material is great for winter events. I don't think this style is particularly flattering on my body type (short & pear shaped) but because I wore it to a prohibition party I thought it was fitting. Would definitely recommend for a 1920s themed event. I think the look would be hard to pull off for anything else.

I wore this dress to my husband's military holiday party. I selected true to size because for the most part it is. As a petite person, however, I will say it runs a tad large. If there was a 00 it probably would have been perfect. Still, the 0 was great! I wouldn't let it hinder me from recommending it. In case you cant tell, it is a sequined dress. However, the sequins didn't bother me at all. I was a little worred about the cut outs but they are very forgiving. Honestly, I can't say anything negative about the dress!

I loved the style of the dress. However, I did have some functional issues. First, the straps in were too long in the back. Secondly, the lining was about 2-3 inches longer than the lace. Both issues were solved with some pinning. This was my first rental. If it becomes a regular occurrence I probably wont continue to rent. This issue was minor enough though that I'll give them another try in the future.
