I normally love a sheath dress--my go to style! I rented this for a wedding shower at a country club outside of the Nation's Capitol. This was perfect! I Rented a medium and large and wore the large--they both fit, and the fabric is quite stretchy (a unique, spongy fabric). However, the line at the hips, where the torso and skirt meet, flared a bit in the medium, whereas the large laid flat more. The colors are bright and the pleats adorable. I would rent again for the right occasion.

This dress was FANTASTIC. The skirt has a very nice flair to it, really giving it a party feel. The colors are bright and really pop at holiday parties where everyone else is wearing red and green. my only dislike is the arm holes dip open rather large in front--showing off the dreaded arm pit-breast space that is not very flattering on many people. for this reason alone I sized up--the six fit perfectly EXCEPT that the arm opening was too wide on the front of the dress. The size 8 was a bit bigger but the armholes were not as showing in the front because there was more fabric. Lovely, lovely dress that I will definitely rent again for another holiday affair.

Rented this for a summer wedding in Santa Barbara--it was perfect. Super super flattering, sucks everything in with a thick form fitting fabric. I rented both the 46 and 48, both fit nice, nearly the same, but the 46 was more fitted in the rear so I went for the 48. The length was perfect--right below the knee. The green is a light lime, not as minty as it looks in the picture--i liked the actual color better! I will rent this again and again and again.

Dress was too tight. I only had the size 6, and thank god it was my back up dress. Would have loved to wear it, but it was too tight across my belly to feel comfortable--the fabric shows EVERYTHING. While I could easily zip it, the chest was tight, so the fabric pulled up and across my stomach, which just made me too self conscious. Great green color, beautiful for a winter ready. Just size up in your back up size! I would try this one again, despite the size problem, as it is just so pretty.

The fabric on this dres leaves something to be desired. I found it to be cheap and thin. It was a nice shape, and beautiful color, but it wore like it was a club dress, not the classier look I was going for. The sleeves balance out the length, but it is too fitted with too thin a fabric to be worm for the event I rented it for (a play). Wouldn't rent again.

This is the PERFECT alternative to a little black dress--and transitions seamlessly from day to night. I rented this for a non costume party on Halloween weekend. When I received the dress I was absolutely floored, and knew I had to get as much wear as I could--so i opted to wear this all day! First, I paired it with a long sweater and flats during the day, then transitioned to black tights and heels for the night. It was perfect for a fall day--the fabric is thick, and the dress definitely cinches in your waste. I am a solid 6 and the dress fit perfectly. The fabric of this dress is outstanding. Very thick but has a very nice, flattering sheen to it. As you can see from the photos it is not a full peplum, however, i think the fact that the peplum is pinned down in the front keeps the wearer from getting those "peplum hips" that make many women steer clear of the style. Also, the green is very deep, much deeper than the picture--more emerald and black. I paired this with the Kate Spade earrings sent as a part of the stylist surprise, along with black tights and high black crocodile wedges and a black blazer (until i moved from working the room to the dance floor). This was perfect for an office holiday party, where you want to look nice but avoid being inappropriately dressed. All in all this is a beautiful dress that would be perfect for so many occasions--from a winter wedding shower, to a church event, brunch with the in-laws; i really think this is one of the best dresses I have rented. Yet another amazing RTR experience!

This bag was absolutely classy and very well made. Well worth the affordable rental price and sure to dress up any outfit. I used this clutch for an evening show at the Kennedy Center and pre show dinner and drinks. It fit my card, id, phone and some make up quite well. Not large enough for phone and a bulky wallet, but quite roomy for misc small items. The chain is a dark silver color, and very short, falling just above your elbow if you hang it on your shoulder. I opted to not use the chain and found the bag to be quite convenient and sophisticated. Highly recommend, will definitely rent again.

With this dress what you see is what you get. It fit extremely true to size, has beautiful detail and a stand out color. I paired it with the black and white Kate spade bag and white blazer and black patent pumps for a show at the Kennedy Center. It was very unique but conservative enough for a DC crowd, falling mid thigh. The 6 and 8 fit pretty similarly, with the 6 just feeling a bit more fitted in the waist. The black band at the midsection adds a nice contour to the plain shape. Appropriate for a variety of events, as it can be dressed down or up depending on the occasion. Absolutely love.

Whenever I am unsure about what to add to an order to make is special--particularly if there is any color matching or unique patterns to consider, i go for the stylist surprise. a great addition to an awesome service.

This is a very simple, nicely designed dress. It does run large--I usually wear between a 4 and 6, the 4 was perfectly fit. The six was okay, but the skirt was definitely large and the top hung a bit too low and loose (I am slightly well endowed in the chest, too). The halter neck is jeweled in the back, which is a nice sophisticated touch that you cant see in the picture. Also, pockets are always a plus. For a picnic, day event, or casual party this is a well priced, quality made piece.

Great dress! I had so much fun wearing this! I rented this for a mountain wedding--very country, very non traditional. I was reading in the wedding and needed something that fit with the country theme--this was perfect. I rented the 6 and the 8--I am usually a straight 6, except that I have a C cup, which this dress did not accommodate, so I had to go with the 6. The skirt is flouncy and great for dancing, and the blue is a very, very pretty, deep color. This dress is not a dress that hugs the lower half of your body, but it does make your waist and bust look fabulous. If you are larger chested I suggest sizing up for your backup--I'm not that large and the buttons on the 6 were popping. I matched this with white wedge sandals and wore white pearls. This dress was a hit; among the very stylish wedding party I received compliments left and right.

I am officially in love with Lilly Pulitzer and so thankful that RTR introduced us :) This dress is, literally, the only dress I have rented that is exactly as described. That is not to say that other dresses I have rented arent as described--but usually there is a tiny detail or slight color variation to what you see or read in reviews. Not this dress: The fit was very standard, the color is a perfect bright turquoise, and the length is just as it looks. I would suggest a cross back bra as straps peek out just a tiny bit. Definitely recommended. I wore with pearls and beige colored peep toe wedges. Perfect garden party attire.

This dress is a beautiful, deep, rich turquoise color--much less sea-foamy than the picture. The fabric is made of a wonderful quality and the details really make this dress stand out as designer. The dress I received did not have a belt with it--much to my dismay, as it is a long waisted dress and a little loose in the mid section, so I felt it made me look a little disproportion-ed. I tried using my own skinny belts--but tan looked off and black was too dark for an outdoor, country wedding, so I went sans belt. While I wish the dress had come with the belt I wore it anyway--and boy, am I glad I did. I received compliments all night, from strangers, the cab driver, literally everyone. I wore coral colored stone earings and carried a coral clutch, with tan wedge peep toes. The perfect color combination, I highly suggest a coral accent with this deep color. Would buy if I could afford it, perhaps in a smaller size.

I rented this for a cocktail party at a Museum I support--quite a trendy, swanky evening event. I absolutely love the dress--the material is beautiful and the color is very true to the picture--a soft coral. The lining on the inside is silk and super soft against your skin. However, I was unhappy with my rental because both dresses I received (a small and a medium) were damaged. One had a run in the fabric, right across the breast area, and the other had a huge black stain on the back. Regardless, the dress itself is beautiful. However, I do suggest checking with a stylist on the condition of the dress before ordering. In RTR's favor, they did refund my order and were completely kind and professional.

I didnt actually get to wear this dress, as last minute it became unavailable. I am still waiting for an occasion to wear it again :) RTR was wonderful in sending me a replacement dress from my list of favorites, and talked me through my options over the phone (i was not near a computer). Once again, amazing customer service.

This dress is absolutely beautiful, but definitely runs small. I rented an 8 and a 10 but normally wear a 6--both fit, but because i was going to a house party i wanted to be a little more comfortable and went with the 10. Very, very pretty, perfect for a holiday party (especially when most people chose red). the fabric is itchy, as other reviewers suggested. However, the gold threading really stands out and glitters slightly. nice simply, flattering cut, particularly in the waist. I would rent this again in a heart beat.

This dress is wonderful--for the right kind of affair. I had a conference for work that I rented another dress for, with this one as the back up. I was able to wear this gorgeous sheath the day before my big conference to the office (i work in a conservative dc office, mind you), out to happy hour, and then to a dinner date with my boyfriend. This dress, with a blazer or cardigan over it, is conservative enough for the office; with heels and bare arms its a professional, classic look for a night out. It is not fitted at all--i rented a 4 and a 6 and wear the 4. There is no stretch, it is just a plain, box sort of cut. But the fabric and detail make it gorgeous. Do not order this if you are looking for something to show off your figure! I could also see myself wearing this to a garden party, a conservative wedding, or a church-brunch sort of event with family. Will definitely rent this dress again!

I was super excited for the jewelry I ordered to wear with my dress, particularly because these earrings matched my dress EXACTLY. However, they look quite cheap in person. I am a fan of costume jewelry, but these look like something you would buy in a plastic bag at a drug store for your 5 year old to wear once before they snap in half. From a distance they look great, but up close these leave a lot to be desired--the casing of the white crystals was rusty looking and the strands didn't stay put very well. plus, the emerald stone was see-through. I rented this for an important work meeting followed by a corporate dinner cruise with my boyfriend's new office--it was FANTASTIC! I wore a blazer and heels during the day, fully covered and buttoned up. Absolutely stunning color and fit for a conservative office. At night, for dinner, I wore the dress with out a cover and with flats--I received so many compliments. My boyfriend loved the color and the fit is a show stopper--this dress really shows off the goods. The top is difficult to wear a bra with, as the hole in the back is exactly where a bra cross. However, the front is significantly enough lined that you cant tell. Also, the ribs and top section are pretty fitted. The zipper up the back is a very sexy addition--and allows for you to be able to move by undoing the zipper a bit at the back bottom hem; the fit of the skirt, and the length (below the knee on me, and I'm 5'8), can make it difficult to take very quick or big steps. However, this dress is really, really a designer knock out. Highly suggested. Will definitely rent this again.

I have rented this dress twice--it is that perfect. I would highly recommend this dress for a casual event in which you need to be comfortable but look stylish. I received so many compliments on both occasions, and the colors are so flattering. Not a very fitted dress, so don't rent if you like more shape. I cinched a brown woven belt around my waist to define it more, paired with causal white and brown sandals. A light material, so be wary of wind.

Cute dress but large on top with too full a skirt. The bottom was very bunchy and stuck out in an unflattering manner. I was unable to wear this. The photos i saw of this dress styled looked adorable, but the cut was really very unflattering on me.

This dress was rather small in the chest. I suggest if you are a C cup sizing up, as there are buttons on the chest that gape. other than that it is adorable, casual, perfect for a picnic or casual summer event.

I rented this for my office's Christmas party and it was I complete hit--I absolutely Loved this dress and received compliments on it all night. It is definitely a dark, nearly black, blue--but its dark enough that black nylons and black heels matched. The arm holes are a little low, and even though I tried to wear a cami underneath, the neckline is too unique to allow it, so be forewarned.(You can see this in the picture, which makes me cringe every time I look at the gap) However, despite the lower than appreciated arm holes the dress was fitted in a beautifully classic manner. A cardigan fixes the problem and is worth the rest of the dress.
