I loved this dress! I ordered a 6 as a back up, but the 4 fit perfectly. I got so many compliments and really felt that it was flattering in every way possible. I definitely recommend this for any occasion. 

Ordered this for my birthday dinner and night out.  Received the 2 and the 4.  The 2 was wearable but tight so opted for the 4.  Still a fitted look but not overly so.  Really enjoyed this dress.  Comfortable and easy to wear.  

A little hard to move in - but no complaints at all. I was still able to dance the night away.  You definitely need someone to help you zip up and zip down. Not easy an task! 

This dress is stunning!  Sleek lines, beautiful color, perfect length, form fitting but classy.  I am in love with this dress!!!

I wore this dress for valentine's day. Even though the dress was short sleeved, the heavy fabric made it ideal for a chilly night. The dress fit like a glove. 

I ended up sizing up. The 2 fit fine, but the 4 felt better in the shoulder/top area. I loved wearing the dress. It is beautiful and fits great!

I had to go a size up since it ran small, but it was comfortable and fit nicely. 

This dress was a dream! I kept trying it on over and over again before the event and didn't want to ever take it off! It hugged my curves in all the right places and was a showstopper.

The dress was fitted just perfectly.  It was difficult to move my arms at times, but only when dancing.  I LOVED how I looked and felt in the dress. One thing that seemed strange was the stitching at the boob of the dress. However, with the design of the stitching it worked well!  I was extremely satisfied with my first rental!!! The 4 was too baggy in the chest area, so the 2 was just what I was looking for for a slim, tight fitting dress. 

I'm lucky enough to work across from the RTR Flatiron location, so I had the luxury of trying on this dress prior to renting. The one I received was in great condition and I was really happy with the fit and the bold, bright color. My favorite part was probably that with a dress like this I was able to totally get away with a statement necklace and basic flat boots (it being an NYC wedding on a rainy morning didn't hurt either).

Important note: this dress is not ideal if you are going to be hitting the dance floor, as there is limited movement in your arms. I wasn't concerned about this, because the wedding I attended was a sit-down lunch w/simple background music. Wouldn't recommend for something where you really want to cut a rug!

I would totally rent this dress again! It's very fitted but has a great shape and highlights all the right areas. A+

I wore this dress to my bachelorette party.  Overall the fabric and details were great and it was a very sexy/flattering dress without losing any class.  I didn't notice when renting, but the hem is shorter in front than in back just by a bit which was a neat feature.  However it was a bit snug.  I usually wear a size 10 or 12 (38D bust, 39" hips) and the size 12 in this dress fit, but was very tight.  

I thought the dress fit really well -- even the length was perfect (and I am really short). I liked how the back was subtly longer, which made it good for dancing. The chest also fit fine, which means it's probably not a good choice for small-chested girls. The fabric was thick, which was nice for a fall wedding. The fact it was form fitting made it sexy, but the fact it's not revealing kept it classy. I chose the size 2, though the 4 would also have worked (just would've looked a little baggier). With Spanx, the 2 was perfect. Loved it! 

Fit perfectly, didn't bunch or shift out of place, even after hours of dancing. Heavier material was good for cool, fall evening outdoor wedding event. Great color - bold, but not loud or obnoxious.

I wore this dress for a "Zippy Casual" rehearsal dinner. It was perfect! The dress was made of thick material and was very flattering - I loved it! Some pros: you can wear a regular bra and the color is even prettier in person. Cons: The seams were a little weird in the bust area. Overall, a great dress.

When the dress first arrived I thought it was way too tight and short to wear to a rehearsal dinner. I called Rent the Runway and was told the 12 wasn't available. They offered to overnight another dress in the same price point. I retried the dress on and figured I could make it work. It looked great, I just wasn't sure if it was too short for a rehearsal dinner.  I felt great in it, but it does seem to run small.

I wore this for my master's graduation! And it was perfect. Classy but still sexy.

I am 5'3" about 145lbs. This dress was perfect for a summer wedding. It hugged me tight in all the right places. I wish I didn't have a little pooch from having a baby 8 months ago but even with the pooch I felt fabulous in this dress! The one thing I couldn't tell from the online picture was that the front is a little bit shorter than the back. Although this came as a surprise to me I still loved how it looked on me. And as an added bonus it arrived a few days earlier than anticipated which was great!!! 

Loved this dress! It fit perfectly - definitely true to size and like other reviewers mentioned, there is no give in this fabric. The fabric itself is pretty thick, which I like because I feel like it helps conceal any "flaws." The color of the dress is very much a poppy-red, so I paired it with a teal/aquamarine bracelet and nude wedges.

Very well made dress, heavier material than expected- perfect for a late winter formal work event! The color is more orange than red and its bright! Perfectly paired with a nude pump- I ended up not wearing the neclace I ordered with the dress, the dress was enough of a statement on its own. I have a fairly large chest, the 2 was snug but flattering- the 4 was too big.

Dress was good quality and true to size. It was a thicker material, which I prefer. Got tons of compliments! Only negative was that the gold on the zipper was a little worn off but, I wore my hair down and I doubt anyone else would ever notice.

The color of this dress is amazing in-person.  The cut is wedding-appropriate and a definite win if you want to be noticed without stealing the show. The fit is a little tight, especially around the bust area, so if your full busted, order a size up for your backup. It also was a great length for tall girls. I  wish I could have kept it!

The dress fit great! The zipper was a little sticky but with another person's help it went up! As someone who a little taller it's always nerve  racking renting a shorted dress but this one hit perfectly! It wasn't too short or overly long! The fabric isn't stretchy  but it's a little thicker than I expected. I wore it to an outdoor February wedding in Florida & was perfectly comfortable.

Fit great; excellent quality fabric, even Hubbs commented on it; I really wanted a classy red dress and this was definitely it! Perfect combo of sexy and classy!

Loved this dress!  It was extremely form fitting, but in a classy, not trashy way.  I wore this on Valentine's Day to a restaurant with my husband, and then the next night to attend a fashion show/fund raiser.  I felt extremely sexy, and the color attracted a lot of smiles from others.  This dress is a bit shorter than I typically wear, but it really compliments the legs!  I'm also very hippy (32-27-36) and as others have mentioned, I think this dress was meant for the straight and narrow body type with a large bust.  RTR suggested I size up, and I'm glad I did, even though I ended up wearing the size 4, not the size 6.  
I do want to warn others, that even though this dress has very thick material, you can still see underwear lines.  This includes lace patterns on undergarments and spanks - and even the seams of pantyhose!  Plan accordingly, and you will be fine.  I have rented 15+ dresses from this site and I always receive the very best service.  Thank you RTR for once again making me feel like a star!  You are the best!

Loved this dress!! The fit was amazing up top (it was a little tight in the hips and thighs area but it was ok).  I loved that it was modest and I could feel comfortable in it and the fit was very tailored and sexy.  The fit and fabric really made this dress for me.  My fiance loved it as well and I'm very glad I rented it... I would definitely consider renting again

I wore this dress to my sister's engagement party and felt absolutely beautiful all evening.  It was the perfect combination of day/night for a 3pm party.  

LOVE this dress! It was very figure flattering and great for busty girls. The color was also really vibrant and looked nice with my skin tone. The only two slightly negative things were: 1) Thick material. It was quite hot in the restaurant after a few cocktails; 2) I couldn't move my arms above my head. The arms were so tight! :) Highly recommend for a winter night out.

The shape of this dress was incredible along with the color, made for one spectacular night! The top is a little snug I wasn't able to lift my arms very high, but it was worth it. I'll def. rent this one again. Unfortunately I never got a full body picture in the dress, but I guess that just means I have to rent it again!  

This dress is fabulous!! I found it to fit pretty true to size. From the comments I read beforehand, I expected it to be snug in the hips which it really wasn't. On me it was more snug in the chest area. Not the best option if you plan on dancing, but other than that this dress was perfect!

Fits like a glove - was a little tight on me (the 4) but I think the 6 would have been a little big.

This dress fit like a glove and hugged all the right places! Just a warning, it is a heavier material and I wouldn't wear it to an outdoor, summer event.  

I ordered the 0 and 2. Could have worn either, but for comfort went with the 2. It had just the perfect amount of stretch to it and I LOVED how it went a tad longer in the back - very subtle and amazing. Didn't want to return it because it is such a classic, well made dress. Coincidentally, I wore it with a Zac Posen gold clutch and gold shoes with a pink and poppy braided necklace. In the picture you can't really see all the detail of the dress, but in person it has just the right amount of lines and structure. I was nervous about the sleeves being too long, but they were perfect.  Highly recommend!

This dress was my backup, but I ended up falling in love with it. The color and fit were perfect, and exactly as shown on the model. A few things to note for future renters: the material is fairly thick, so it is probably not an ideal summer rental. Also - a few past reviews mentioned this, but there is a seam at the boobs that creates the illusion that you are nipping. It is not so extreme that it ruins the dress, but it may bother some people.

Great dress for Holiday parties.  Keep in mind that there is no stretch room at all being a sheath dress. 

I wore this to a wedding rehearsal dinner. It was a very simple dress but the bold, electric color gave it a pop. The material was thick and stretchy so it was very flattering. Use caution with the sleeves though. The size four was slightly loose in the waist for me, but could only raise my arms up about halfway. This is a closet staple and wish I could keep! I will definitely rent it again!

It was a little tight- I am normally a 2 and was a little inbetween sizes with the 4 being too big in the top.

Rented this dress for my company's holiday party and it was a big hit! Very comfortable, gorgeous color, and great construction. Fairly conservative length and neckline but still sexy thanks to the fit.  Definitely recommend.

Thick material with an additional lining.. hugs in all the right places! Perfect for work OR a date night. You can't go wrong with this sophisticated piece. 

I think it flatters those with longer torsos, and was too lose in the shoulders. 

Loved this dress. Wore it with fun black shoes to keep it casual and wore to a work party i was hosting. Lots of compliments; it was so flattering!

The material was a thick, nice fabric and was very comfortable to wear for 8 hours. Ran true to size.

Very snug - pros - you don't need shapewear under. Beautiful color. Looks sharp in photos. 

CONS: However - if you are curvy at all - take your normal size, then order one size up - for your backup then order the next size up. When it's too tight it rides up and I spent half the night pulling it back down.



I rented this dress for my sister's rehearsal dinner. The color was beautiful however, I darts sewn into the dress made for a bit of an odd fit. The sleeves were puffy and the back hem is longer than the front (this is intentional, but it's somewhat slight so it appears a bit out of place). Also, the way the darts were sewn into the front of the dress made for a weird silhouette (I looked like I had a fem-bot chest). I went to the RTR store in Chicago to look for an alternate dress but ultimately decided that this would have to do. Definitely not terrible but I wouldn't rent it again.

The fit through the torso and thighs was right on. Loved the color as well. The arms were tight and I couldn't reach my hands above my head. I do have broad shoulders, though.  I am a 34 A bust and it was awkward in that area. Too big and bunchy. I wore a padded bra and that did not help. I wore it to a sit down dinner and I just felt uncomfortable with how the bust was bunching. I would not rent this again. 

I wore this to a holiday company party. The dress runs a bit small, so size up. It was super comfortable and the color really stands out!

I could have worn either the 8 or 10. I went with the 8 because it hugged my curves and the 10 hid my butt rather than "holding" it if that makes sense. Up to your personal style and preference, get your usual size and one up for backup. Definitely wear Spanx to keep it nice and smooth.  I have an hourglass shape and thick, muscular legs, so I was concerned at first that I wouldn't be able to walk freely due to the fit, but it is stretchy enough. You can't raise your arms too much but it was fine for the holiday office party; wouldn't wear for dancing. Wore it for hours walking around, sitting.. the hemline is slightly higher in the front and longer in the back, and the length is short enough to be sexy but long enough to be classy. A true red color. I wish I could've kept this dress!

I was very hesitant about renting this dress because of some of the reviews. I have a petite frame, but with narrower shoulders/smaller bust and wider hips/bigger rear. The 2 was unavailable, so I got a 4 and a 6 and hoped one of them would work out. I was so pleasantly surprised! Ended up wearing the 4, and while it definitely had too much room in the bust (my only complaint), it fit like a glove everywhere else. I wore control top tights to tighten up my thigh area, and a padded bra - this helped a lot. I'm pretty sure the 2 would have been too small, but I tend to go between size 2 and 4 depending on the dress. Got lots of compliments all night and it was pretty comfortable, other than not really being able to raise my arms very high. I think this dress is the type to work for some better than others - I would avoid it if you have very wide hips or a very small bust.

It's tight especially across the midsection. It doesn't provide any stretch and is a bit short as well. I normally wear a 2 or 4 but after reading reviews ordered the 6 and 8 which which ended up being a great decision. 

I am glad I ordered two sizes. I however ordered down a size instead of up. The two fit nicely everywhere except the bust where it was WAY too big. The seams are not forgiving in that they stick out away from your chest for women with larger busts. It would have been good for a B/C cup? The sleeves and fabric (thick but still slightly forgiving) were amazing and overall I got past the busy thing because it was perfect in every other way. 

I could not help but to smile from the moment I saw the dress to the moment I put it on and the rest of the evening too. Beautiful color- true to the photo, flattering lines to accentuate the body's curves, and a great fit overall encouraging you to stand a bit taller and exude confidence. 
It was a great hit at the wedding I attended and my date couldn't take his eyes off me. It fit true to size for me with plenty of room to wiggle and dance while still holding it's shape and looking lovely in photos. Enjoy! 

I rented a size up because I read the dress runs small. Wearing a size up was the right move. The dress was short but appropriate. The material is thick but it was not unbearable to wear outside at night. I would recommend renting this dress for a dinner party, not so much a night out dancing because it was restricting when raising your hands over your head.

Unfortunately, this dress did not work out. I was going between five dresses and advised to choose this one by a stylist based on my size and the occasion. Material was very thick--too heavy for a May 30 wedding--it was too long, and the shoulders/sleeves were quite large. I have thin arms but this was a little much. Disappointed about the dress, but RTR made it a good experience with the return and credit to my account to try again another time :)

I didn't realize how thick the material is - not comfortable on a hot summer day, especially since it is pretty snug. I had to wear a size up or else I would have seat to death! Looks great on though!

I had previously rented this dress in the smaller size and felt it was just a wee bit too tight, so I thought, "get the 12 it will be perfect!" Wrong. You could see (in person) from the outside the dress looked like it had room. The lining however, had other ideas. It kept riding up as I walked making it a very annoying thing to deal with all night. Maybe my hips / butt / legs are just too big, but I just wasn't happy. Hence this being my only photo of the night! So pretty so I wish I liked it more! 

The dress looks great on, it's comfortable and was an awesome weight for a spring wedding where I wasn't sure what the temperature would end up being. 

The seaming on the chest does this thing where it kind of pops out right where your nipples are...which I didn't really have a problem with but if you're a fussy person it may be bothersome. 

I rented the 4 with the 6 as my backup and both would have been fine but I wanted the dress to fit a little tighter. 

The one issue that could have been major was that the zippers on both dresses are definitely worn. On the 4 the zipper was jamming a little at a certain spot and on both of them the paint was flaking off. 

The material is thick with a slick stretch. I loved that the sleeves were a bit longer and not tight at all. You WILL need Spanx with this one (unless you're graced with absolutely no belly). I loved that the hem had a slight hi-low feature, however I had issues keeping the front of the hem from flipping up (you can see it in the full length picture). Overall, I felt like a total hottie in this outfit and got a TON of compliments. I would 100% rent this one again or even buy it!!

I almost thought I was not going to be able to wear this dress. I have an hour glass figure and this dress does not have much give. The fabric is thick and the dress is structured. This is beneficial in that it doesn't reveal any imperfections. But it must be the right fit to pull it off. I think this dress is better suited for thinner woman. I was able to wear it. Sitting and walking were a challenge at times, but the dress looked great. Curvy women beware and consider sizing up!

The dress was overall very comfortable. However, the fabric did pull a little, making it look like it fit smaller than it did. I still felt the dress was very flattering and I enjoyed wearing it.

I sized up for my second size based on recommendations. I ended up wearing the 4 only because the 6, even though it fit better on the bottom, was unflattering on the top. It was too big, and didn't sit right - I couldn't get the shoulders to stay put - and the seaming on the bodice also gave the illusion of comically large nipples. There was also something odd about the lining on the 6, it kept bunching (that was probably just that dress because I didn't have that issue on the one I wore). 

The 4 was pretty snug on the bottom but not unflattering (said my boyfriend). The fabric is just slightly stretchy enough that it was still ok to walk and sit in, not ideal but ok. 

The seaming detail on the waist adds nice interest and is flattering. The sleeves are not restrictive. I also really liked the slightly longer in back hem. I think this dress is best for someone with very slim hips and a fuller chest. It's a good somewhat conservative choice as it's not low cut or too short.  Overall it was fun to wear once but I wouldn't rent again as it's not ideal for my body. 

What made this dress great is that I was able to wear it to a holiday party where I wasn't sure exactly how formal it was. I wore nude wedges and it could've gone either way.  The fabric is thick, high quality and the design is very stylish. The bottom is higher in the front vs. the back, a very subtle detail that I really liked. The neckline and length is conservative but its tight enough to step it up. Really would love to have this in my closet as a "go-to". I would wear it multiple times year. 

Accentuates not the best parts and the lines are a little tough . I went down a size to keep the waist and lines formed right.

I loved the color of this dress. It stood out at party full of black dresses. As others have written, it does run small around the hips. I wore the size up and felt comfortable. The material is heavier - great for a winter event and conceals your imperfections. If you are small busted - this dress is not for you. I loved the fact that the dress is slightly longer in the back than in the front. I nice extra detail that stood out. The zipper handle was a bit worn (paint flaking off), but otherwise the dress is in great shape.

Almost everything about the dress is perfect - it is made of a thicker/more durable material, the color is beautiful and not too "stand-out-ish," the sleeve length and the front seams are very flattering, it's not too long on a short person, and I was able to dance all night comfortably.  I did, however, have to do some major bra stuffing to pull this one off - but I was around my friends all night so I didn't mind. As a 32AA, I wore a heavily padded 34B (which had space for all sorts of goodies like socks and tissues) and still had room in front when the dress was on. I chose this picture because I think it's easiest to tell. I'd love to buy this dress and alter the top to fit.

This dress definitely runs small. The lining around the neck was alittle weird and needed to be adjusted quite a few times. I got some compliments on the dress but wasn't over the moon with it. Once was enough. Great experience with RTR once again. 

This really was a great dress. The color was very vibrant and I definitely stood out. While the 6 fit, I ended up wearing the 8 because the fit was a little more conservative (not as tight). The fabric is rather thick so it wouldn't be appropriate for hot weather.

Cons: If you aren't busty, the top is pretty loose. Other users also mentioned the tacking on the bust being in an odd spot.. this is definitely true. 

The 4 was a little tight in my hip area, but a tad loose in the chest.  When i tried the 6, it was too big.  Definitely a great dress for a Wedding, lots of compliments!
