Tall Lady Approved
Tall and suspicious of this kind of dress because it will make you look like a cupcake ? Fear not! Somehow, somewhere, Slate & Willow got it right. This dress is cute as hell, fits well (although runs a bit big so size down for sure), and would work for farm weddings and nights out alike. Full disclosure: I did not wear this dress but my lovely friend, pictured here, who is 6 feet tall, wore it and loved it and it looked smashing on her.

Simply Perfect.
I wore this to a garden wedding (in early summer in Virginia) and felt both comfortable and stylish. The fabric is thick enough so as to not be revealing (underwear lines, etc) but also was breathable and comfortable (not stuffy or scratchy). And when it suddenly started to pour and thunder, I was able to run around helping move chairs with total ease (sometimes rompers and jumpsuits sort of limit your mobility and this one does not!!). I hope this goes on sale one day so I can snag it for keeps- I love it that much !! Would highly recommend.

Ouch!
Sadly, this necklace did not fit at all. I sort of felt like I was missing something because all the other reviews are so positive but ultimately I could not wear it since it kind of felt like it was trying to, you know, strangle me. Or maybe I have a super thick neck ? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Comfy, fun, & bright!
Wore this to a summer wedding where I danced the night away, sat comfortably (don't pretend like this isn't sometimes an issue in cute dresses!), and felt totally lovely. The print doesn't drown you out like some florals might and the skirt is full and fun to twirl in. The fabric was light but not too revealing and I was sad to send this one back in the mail! It was also a great fit for my body type. I would highly, highly recommend this dress!

Gorgeous, Church-Appropriate, Glamorous
I wore this for a Catholic blessing of our marriage (so I felt like I needed something modest), and I was surprised how much I loved it. I felt unexpectedly glamorous and the pictures online don't do the detailing justice- the lace looks like a gorgeous mosaic with a little hint of something kinda funky and whimsical as if the costume and design departments in a Tim Burton film had a small say in it (that's a compliment). All this to say that I didn't want to send it back and would highly recommend it! It's super comfortable although a wee bit long for my height (I had to wear 2" wedges).

This dress is so comfy, so flattering, and so fun! It's the best dress for dancing that I've rented on RTR and it's easy to dress up or down. Highly recommended!

Cute but a little tough to pull off (literally and figuratively)
I hesitated whether to check "runs small" or "runs large" because while it felt super snug (not in an unflattering but in a kind of intense way) around the waist, the shoulders were almost falling off me. Thank goodness for fashion tape or else! I wouldn't recommend this dress for ladies who have smaller tops. There were also a few holes in the lacey bits but nothing super noticeable.

Yes, I wore it to a wedding.
I love you, RTR. Really. Customer service is always tops, the stylists in house at the New York locations are wise and funny, and the shipping is reliable. I would *never* have chosen this myself but a stylist at the soho location pulled it and I was so pleased ! Pros: conservative but not frumpy, totally okay for a late afternoon/evening wedding (no one gave me the stinkeye), very comfortable, and easy to move in (no awkward dress is stuck to me/chair/other thing moments). Cons: funky smell. I think it's from being in a bag at ...the warehouse ? Why does no one love you, dress ? Are you never let out of the bag ? But no amount of perfume could stave off a persistent, odd, perhaps musty odor. It wasn't bad but I certainly noticed it. Fluke ? Actual cons: you can't dance with your arms anywhere above your shoulders- the dress sleeves don't really allow for it so, no, DJ, I can't put my paws up. This dress fit my body type really well and went from ceremony through dancing with grace.

Feminine, interesting, and comfortable
I wore this to an outdoor, lake-side, late afternoon wedding and was very pleased with how comfortable and different it was. It doesn't quite come across online but the textured overlay (wrong word, my bad) is really intriguing and flattering. The silhouette reminds me of a ballerina and cinches slightly at the waist before pouffing in a flirty but sophisticated way. It's a very well made dress and fits a touch large (though not in a revealing or bothersome way). Two things to keep in mind: I adored how this dress looks in person and in the mirror. However, after looking back at a few photos from the wedding, I feel as though I look like a bit of whale (like, not the whole whale but ... whale-ish, still). So, whether it's the way the fabric falls or the pattern or the color or some combination thereof... keep this in mind when renting if you (like me) aren't a pro at posture and posing during events #whatsiskinnyarmtho Also, the delicate detailing seems like it might easily catch on a studded or otherwise more-3D-than-usual bracelet so be careful of sharp edges! All in all, a very lovely dress that fit well, felt great (approved for dance floor), and received many compliments !

I was worried they'd be too big but these earrings were a lovely addition to the Parisian Flutter dress (which is blush so I felt like it needed a little pop in the jewelry department). Easy to wear and lighter than expected, I was sad to box these mums up and send them back !

perfect for a black tie event
I adore this dress. The petite length was perfect with 2" heels. I particularly like how the black bow compliments a tux bow tie. :) It's also very comfy!

Pockets! But these straps aren't for petite shoulders...
This dress is nice. Not blowing my mind, but nice. The pockets were a key detail for me (they're deep, comparatively), and the color is really lovely. But the dress is made for someone with a larger chest and shoulders so, bra-strap-holders aside, I spent the night worrying a little about how to keep the top part from moving around too much. :( I would not recommend this dress for small-busted ladies with petite shoulders.

This piece received more compliments than my dress (which I also loved) !! I was initially startled by how large it is and how heavy it feels but then I got used to it and aside from an incident jumping (you all the know the song) and having it whack me in the face (your laughter is invited)- I was super pleased.
