Lovely color
This one was too clingy to flatter my figure, but the color was even prettier in person (more blue in it).

Unforgiving fit
If your waist is exactly right in dimension, and your torso the perfect length, then this could be the dress for you. Didn't work on my short-waisted apple body. Also found the fabric a little garish in person.

Didn't work for me.
Normally this size fits me in this brand, but even though it looks very A-line on the model, it doesn't look that way on an apple body. What I thought would be a drop waist ended up higher, and the back of the dress bunched up because of it. Maybe sizing up would help. Also, I liked the fabric up close, but the lurex thread gave it a more metallic look than I expected.

Great for an apple body, but I did find it a little short (as a woman over 50). I didn't wear it because the one I got was damaged, but I might have made it work with dark tights.

I couldn't wear this because it bunched in back--the waistline was too fitted to sit low enough on my short torso.

A bit much in person
Loose fit with some cling. It was a little garish in person--the combination of bright purple and shiny plisse ended up looking like something from 1980s Dynasty, which was not a look I wanted to revive.

Cute retro styling, great quality.
Love the cowl neck and the substantial fabric with lining. Unfortunately, I found it too fitted around my middle, but that is the fault of my body, not the dress! I might try sizing up to see if that helps, but it did fit perfectly elsewhere.

Fun color block style
Like others I found the shoulder and upper arm constricting, making this a somewhat uncomfortable dress. And I have unusually small shoulders and arms! I would have kept it longer if it had been more comfortable.

Decent but nothing special.
Overall just not particularly remarkable. The shirt dress fit hid my flaws but was also not particularly flattering. I'd prefer a couple more inches in length but mostly because I'm past 50 and feel funny showing my legs. The pattern and color were more vibrant in person.

Comfortable and unusual
Such an easy dress to wear but the fabric in person is very casual. I ended up wearing it touring around NYC on a hot day, and in Northern California with a fitted red tee under it for a cooler day. The dress appears somewhat worn, with the hemline no longer lying smoothly (as though it's been washed and shrunk). I was surprised at the lack of quality given the retail price.

Fun take on a shift dress.
This hid my poochy stomach but the armholes were cut too deeply. I might try to get it in a smaller size (I rented a 4 but am often a 2). I think it's a good dress for a date to dinner and theater.

Great for a (cool) San Francisco outdoor wedding.
I wore this over a bright red dress and received lots of compliments from people I didn't know. As others have mentioned, it is a bit shapeless and large and heavy, but it still makes a great statement.

Beautiful fabric, nice details.
The satin-like fabric and varied, ruffled hemline made this dress extra special. I received lots of compliments at the vineyard wedding I attended. I wish RTR had included the belt, though, as I think a little more definition might have been nice. Still, it was comfortable and fun to swing in on the dance floor.

Perfect for party/not outdoor wedding.
I found this dress flattering, but a tad tight in the waist (my problem spot). I decided against wearing it to the wedding I'd intended it for because the lace seemed too competitive with a bride and the tulle seemed too party-like for an outdoor wedding. Would consider renting it again, though for another more appropriate event.

Wonderful fabric and flattering cut.
The thickness of this knit conformed to my body without revealing flaws. The sheerness of the top and lower part of the skirt made it sexy without making me self-conscious as they only hinted at what was underneath.

Feminine and fun.
Wore this to an outdoor wedding. I'm narrow-shouldered and loved the cut-in, halter-style neckline. The ruffles did a decent job of disguising my tummy. Although there was a little gapping under my arms, it was not really a problem. As others have mentioned, the twirl factor adds to the dance-floor appeal.
