This is one of those dresses that just is too revealing IMO if you have a C or larger. The dress drips way too low and would need to safety pin it to be more modest

Off the shoulder awesomeness
This shirt is great -wish I had purchased it! Definitely runs large so size down if you need it. The bows on the sleeves can come undone so just double knot them, otherwise this shirt is perfect for summer!

Baggy but tight..
This dress is baggy on top/in the arms and then slim on the bottom which just was not for me. Probably better with someone with a more athletic build. In addition, the slit at the top goes way too low to be work appropriate so make sure to wear a tank/camisole underneath!

Light Feminine Fun Dress
This dress is great and very versatile. It was a little big and came out a little bit so needed to wear a camisole underneath it which was fine. The length was perfect for me and I am 5"8 so it was long but has a nice slit which compliments your figure - wore with black booties to complete the look. Thanks RTR!

Awesome but not for everyone
I SO wanted this look to work. I think if you have broader shoulders this sweater gives you a bulky, homeless chic looked which FreePeople can fall into sometimes. I rocked it regardless because the print is so cool but keep in mind this makes you look 3x bigger than you are. It is also incredibly warm - almost too warm to a point that you cant wear anything but a t-shirt underneath it. Rent if you are going somewhere cold and use as your jacket!

I wish this dress popped a little more with the fabric. It instead all blends together from afar and you can really only tell when you are up close that there is a pattern, Super comfortable, flattering and flirty for a pear or hourglass figure. That said, likely best for more everyday than a formal affair.

Preppy Dress with some Flare
This dress is super feminine and very complimentary to a curvy or pear figure. It cinches at your waist and does jut out but not too much. Only complaint is that the zipper is very difficult. I had read this previously about Kate Spade dresses so was prepared but be warned it will be had to zip up!

I wish I had read the reviews before renting! This jacket is BIG. I typically like a bigger coat so I can wear bulky sweaters underneath them but this thing is HUGE. It still would have likely been big even it if was a small. I am still giving the piece 5 stars because it is such a cool/intricate coat and SUPER warm and trendy looking. I would rent again just in a much smaller size.

Fun Eye Catching Print
This sweater only runs slightly large - its not huge. I traditionally like my sweaters big so this was perfect. The sleeves have different designs which makes the piece interesting and eye catching. The zipper is a funky touch as well. The material is not soft and somewhat hardened but still warm and good looking. Thanks RTR!

Super feminine with a great color
This dress is awesome. It was a little long for me without heels and I am 5"8 so probably better for someone on the taller side. The dress is a true wrap dress with the low dipping neckline focusing on accentuating the most flattering part of your figure. Material is super soft and the color is eye catching. Strongly recommend!

This dress could be done up or down which is great and would look nice on any body type. Its essentially a silk shirt dress that falls straight so there is no form to it - you can just add a belt if you want to show some curves or leave it casual. Love, love, love the print - looks great in photos.

Really loved this dress. This dress is super flowy but doesn't make it appear like you are wearing a bag. It is tight above the chest and then flows out with an attractive cut/lining to still show off your figure. Super comfortable as well as pockets! Tasteful and edgy LBD
This dress is great for a nice night out - you can dress it up with heels or down with a fur vest which is what I ended up doing. The material is forgiving and flares out at the waist which is great. The slit at the center of course is the best part and would be flattering on any cup size. I did find that with a longer torso and a butt it gave me an ice skater sort of look which was not great but you can press it down with your arms. Perfect likely for an athletic figure rather than hourglass.

This dress is a knockout
Kudos to Rent the Runway with helping me - this dress was a backup when my first choice became unavailable. Shoshanna dresses are great at being feminine, yet playful and sexy at the same time. The dress tightly cinches at the waist displaying your figure well and then juts out - perfect for an hourglass figure. The top is tight but gives room and you do not need a bra based on the fitted lining. Also, who doesn't love pockets!? Would rent again if I could!

BEST Cocktail dress
This dress just makes you feel pretty. Tight on the waist and then jets out making you look like a cupcake, in a good way. It definitely poofs out extenuating the hourglass look if that is something you are looking for. If it is something you are trying to hide, like me, you can STILL wear it and just pin the sides of the dress or keep a hand in your pocket for photos. That's right it has pockets. The color is also gorgeous and comes out great in photos - make sure you are tan or get a spray tan to bring out the colors in the dress. Thanks RTR!

Unfortunately this was a better idea in my head then in actuality. I have a larger chest (36C) and a long torso therefore it fit awkwardly all around. It was also short on me (I am 5'8) so think this look would be much nicer on a shorter, maybe pear shaped body. The pants are flowy so it does almost look like you are wearing a lovely whimsical skirt. The design is very cool and the color is faded but in a good way - the cut outs are more visible than displayed so just keep that in mind for whatever you are planning to wear it to.

Dream beach dress
So I was nervous about this one based on other reviews but was looking for a flowy beach dress to wear for a weekend away. This dress could not have been anymore perfect! It does run big but its just the way the dress is made to sort of fall off your body. I do think, because of this, it would look best on a taller person. You can wear it over a bathing suit or pair it up with a jean jacket for day and night. One thing to be mindful of and I hate when dresses do this but the pockets fall right on your hips so if you are curvy it will accentuate that area because they aren't fixed and are free flowing. Simple solve was to safety pin them to the appropriate area of the dress and voila perfection. Thanks RTR!

This is a GEM.
The dress is exquisite. The detailed threading makes it the perfect dress for a fancy or casual event. It does not give very much so I reco going up a size for your second size. Tight in the chest area and then snug in the hips with the pattern making it flattering on any figure. This is more of a daytime event then nighttime. Very happy - thank you!

Shoshanna really knows how to make a flattering dress. The color pops and the fit is tight around the waist and flows out nicely. Was a bit hard to raise my arms but not too bad. Only thing I would say is that the dry cleaning kind of messes up the top lace part of the dress around the neck. You will have to adjust it.

I wanted this dress to work so badly - the design and fit are cute and elegant at the same time with the low back. Unfortunately if you are over 5'7 and are not flat chested this dress is not for you. The dress was very short, too short for a wedding so might work for a cocktail party etc.

The fit is a little weird in the top if you have an hourglass figure. I probably wouldn't recommend this dress if you are a C or larger just because of the way it moves everything around. Other than that this dress is a gorgeous spring pattern with a very flattering cinch in the waist.

Love the dress but missing sash!
I had read the reviews that the dress can sometimes come without the sash as seen in the photo but was so eager to try it out anyway as I have had my eye on this dress for awhile. The dress is beautiful, very slimming with the pattern and material but unfortunately the sash makes this dress and it did not arrive. I called RTR and they were very helpful explaining that I could go out and buy a belt and expense it if I liked. It was unfortunately the day before Thanksgiving and I doubted I would find something in time so I returned it and got a full refund.

This dress is very festive and photographs well!
Dress runs true to size and is very comfortable. The stretch waist allows you to adjust it to your body and you can also adjust the sleeves to whatever looks best. The sleeves are see through lace making the dress photograph well. I ended up wearing it both nights I had it, changing it up with red lipstick or accessories. I wish I could buy!

This was my back-up dress and I was happy with the results!
This dress runs true to size and is very flattering with the color design. Unfortunately it is a little awkward with one side having a sleeve and the other not making it boxy. I wish the dress had two sleeves or no sleeves! (also you can't get away with tights in it and may need a tan)
