Gaping between buttons lead to entire body sneak peak
This dress should have been amazing. It looked entirely ladylike and lovely online. The reality is a different story. The fabric has a slick hand feel that doesn't convey quality. The button-up front is a problem because there is either weird spacing or not enough fabric to close the holes. There are gaps that allow for little peaks at your body the entire length of the dress. If I didn't have a Honey of California Slip on underneath it would have been a disaster. There is a gap at your chest, and abdomen, and crotch, you get the idea. It was a nightmare to keep the hook at the waist closed too. This dress wasn't tight on me but does run small. However the button problem is a design flaw not a sizing issue.

Mother of Pearl gets it right
Runs small- I went up a couple of sizes The rest of the details are all pros. Small and perfect detailing. I worked with black tights and Valentino RockStud cage pumps (all black) and the Mother of Pearl plaid coat. Wore to a holiday work dinner, dinner in Mexico City, and a birthday dinner. Wish I owned it.
