I love everything about this dress , have had it at home as part of my unlimited account for months now and never tire of wearing it. If it weren't out of my price range I would definitely buy this one. I was a little worried about how the "bib" would sit but it lays nicely and just adds a little point of interest.

Loved the print. Paired well with a nude flat or dress up with a block heal for a night out. Love the fabric. Did a little ironing and I was good to go all day 

Perfect work dress that is a great cut and stands out.  The sleeves are a little long for me.  It went down to my knees and at my conservative work place was a hit.  It looked slimming on me even after a big lunch.  

Loved the fit and the pattern  - the buttons at the wrist were subtle and beautiful as was the tiny writing of  'marni' in the flower print on the sleeve and dress.

Fabulous dress and quality! Fit almost like a shift, but had shape in the waist. Plenty of space to move in and the colors are perfect for fall/winter and spring transition. The fabric was light and flowy. 

Dress fits well. Slim fitting but not tight, plenty of room around stomach. Great material, light. Looks expensive. Only negative is tough to raise arms above head because of way dress is cut. 

I like this dress quite a bit. Unlike some other Marni dresses, the fabric is quite light. The fit is classic, with none of the weird tailoring that Marni often has. I'm a little bit curvy and have a busy, so their clothes sometimes don't fit great. But this fit perfect. Love the print and fabric quality is high. 
It's difficult to tell from the photos, but this dress has a large collar. I didn't love it at first, but it sort of blends in with the dress so it's not too noticeable. 

Comfortable fabric with a statement pattern. Fit was a bit amorphous but looked good with a belt. The sleeves wide for my preference, I rolled them halfway thru the day. Conservative cut for sure but dramatic pattern that keeps it interesting. 


It was a different pattern and it was ok. I like to try new things. I am short and petite so the arms were too long. I tucked them under and they didn't stay. It did the job for every day work but wasn't a pick for me for a special occasion! 

Pretty dress, got some compliments as it is unusual. Only issue is busy and shoulders were tight (and I don't have large bust) but waist is loose. 

Loved the pattern. The dress had what can best be described as a "bib" around the neck. It was different. The chest area was a bit snug and the arm length was very long. I cuffed the bottom of the sleeves and it worked out perfectly. 

Wore this dress for a client visit and received many compliments. The material was nice and breathable and the dress was comfortable.

I needed a dress for a luncheon at work and this dress impressed so many people! The dress felt amazing on and looked even better in person then on the site. So happy I had a chance to rent this because I wouldn't have been able to buy it myself. 

This dress has a gorgeous print, easy fit, and beautiful fabric. I would totally buy it if it wasn't $$$. One of my favorite rentals so far!

I loved this dress and wore it to work. My husband however found it to be shapeless, not so sexy and old-lady-like. But I enjoyed it. 

Comfortable and classy and conservative enough for my office. I might even wear it again before returning it.

Its a bit long for a short person but otherwise cute and comfortable. Wore it with tights and booties 

A looser fit than my usual dresses. Felt retro elegant, similar look to some of the silk dresses SJP wears on Divorce show. Paired with over-the-knee black suede boots to round up the look for a cold winter day.  Loved it!!

The dress was cute and loved the pattern. The sleeves were super long on me and it just didn't fit quite right. Would look great on a taller person with longer arms.

I had been waiting to try this dress because I loved the fabric. It's a really cute dress, but there are some things I wish were better:
1. Fit. Loose in waist (by a bit) yet tight in hips. Perhaps better for the less hourglassy.
2. Seaming. There is a seam that runs between the breasts and then under them - it bifurcates the pattern and is somewhat less flattering than optimal.
That being said, overall it's a fun dress is it fits well and was super cute with black knee-high boots.

I rented the 40 and could have EASILY gone down a size. I have narrow shoulders and it was too wide on me, but I paired it with a blazer for work and it was alright.  It is not fitted in the bust or waist so if you are in between sizes, consider going down one. 

The bib was unflattering to me.  As others mention, the sleeves are long.  Mine arrived with a safety pin holding a button on the sleeve, which made it challenging to roll up the sleeve.  But the rest is great!

I was suspicious when I first unpackaged this dress but turns out it was super comfortable, flattering and I got compliments from complete strangers all day. The sleeves are ridiculously long and I had to roll them up but the dress looked fine that way. I would probably not rent again just because the print is so distinctive but if this dress existed in another color/pattern I would absolutely rent it!

This fit worked well for me. I am tall and have long arms, so I wouldn't recommend it for short people.

When I received this on the hanger, I thought I wouldn't wear it.  The print looked really huge and the dress looked kind of shapeless.  But after trying it on and playing around with it a little it turned out to be really cute.  I needed a belt and had to push up the sleeves because they were kind of long.  Wore it with nude pumps and a pretty green necklace and received many compliments.  It's a little longer than I normally wear, but that made it seem quite slimming.  Overall, a successful rental.

Dress is beautiful but the arms are too long and the overall felt too big. Maybe the 6 would've worked. 

The dress is very pretty and wish it fit but it runs small. I would order a size up and also be prepared that the dress wrinkles easily. 

This dress was good for work but hung a little weird on me - it poofed out a bit in my middle back.

Dress has details that do not show in model photos.  It has almost a sailor bib overlay at the top (I didn't love that surprise), and it has beautiful empire waist seaming (very flattering, but hard to notice even in person).  I normally wear a 10/12 and got the 8/44 since Marni usually runs small - that was the right call.  I have broad shoulders and a big chest and it fit both well.  It hugged my hips in a strange way and I have narrow hips.

The pattern on this dress was beautiful and I couldn't wait to try it on but the fit was just off.  It was baggy and loose up top and too tight in the hips.  It also had a very low waist (almost a drop waist) that I didn't find flattering.

I was able to use the review to figure out my size since the dress comes in European style. The fit was spot an and the material was gorgeous. Unfortunately I returned the dress without wearing due to the massive collar.  Yes collar. I couldn't really tell from the photo. I felt like a bib.

This is a really odd dress, at least for me. The print is kind of preppy, but also slightly bizarre. The style is also bizarre--except for the print, the style is kind of juvenile. The sleeves are very long and since there are buttons on the cuffs, it's not the easiest sleeve to roll up. The dress is longer than I like--it is knee length and I'm 5'6". I think it would look better a tad shorter (or maybe if I was taller). The top was too large on me (not an unusual problem) and there's a weird bib on the front. It's fitted through the hips, which is ok, except is looks strange with the loose top. So, for my body type (small pear and average height), it was a disaster. Based on the reviews, it looks really cute on some people, but not me.

Old garment.  I'm so disappointed.  It felt and smelled old. Instantly returned.
