Beautiful fabric and fit
I am a size 12 but have a small chest - A or B - and the top of a size 12 in this dress was quite big on me, and I had to be very creative with my bra to wear the dress without it falling off of me. I should have sized down to a 10. I imagine all of the "size up!!" reviews have a much larger chest than I do! I am 5'11" and the dress nearly hits the floor when I am wearing 3" heels.

British fun
I loved wearing this dress. It's spring so I didn't have to deal with tights, but I wore a slip to cut down on the static (lots of moisturizer on your legs helps with this, too). The length was flattering on my very tall frame and yes, the dress is a giant A-line and it's supposed to be like that. It's mod.

... that I have a thick neck! Sadly I could only just barely close this choker on the largest setting. I am a size 10-12, not at all "plus," but this piece was unwearable.

Comfortable and simple
I loved wearing this dress and was so sad to send it back. The 12 was perfect on me and I'm usually a 14, but I have a small chest and this had a flared skirt. The pockets are killer. Wore with a chunky gold necklace and gold hoops and very, very flat black sandals (it just grazed the floor when I was in bare feet).

Not for the pear-shaped woman
A Tory size 14 usually fits me perfectly, but this shift was too large in the chest and too tight in the hips, as well as too short (I'm admittedly very tall).

Shorty-short
Oh no – way too short for my 5'11" frame! But so cute, and so high-quality. This would be adorable styled as shown with white Tretorn sneakers for an outdoor spring or summer event. The top stripey part is purposefully roomy, and the little flounce skirt is very sweet. My recommendation is to save this for women 5'8" and below.

Comfy and cute
This dress looks large on the model, and that's how it looked on me, too – it fit perfectly, and the high-quality pique knit and lining were nice, but it just looked a little big. The length was gorgeous on my super-tall frame. I styled this for a daytime luncheon over a white oxford shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a big gold bracelet and nude pumps; and I wore it again to a reception that evening under a waist-length gray sweater with black pumps and big blue stone earrings. It worked perfectly as both a jumper and a skirt (the pockets make it work particularly well as a skirt). It'd be gorgeous under a white sweater if you have one that's opaque enough!

Highly recommended. The XL fits like a 12. The length was great on me (5'11") but it would be overwhelming on a small frame, I think. The fabric was quite thick and warm. The lining of the dress was a little detached from the body, unfortunately, but it could probably be pulled back into place.

Shiny!
I didn't end up wearing this dress, as I rented it for everyday wear but the strong sheen of the fabric made it awkward for an office environment. Also, the dress is quite baggy except at the waist - as such, the size 12 was too small for me (I'm a true 14 at this time). Anyway, this would be adorable for a summer outdoor wedding - it's really unique.

A conversation-starter!
Be prepared – someone's going to comment on how cool this sweater is every time you walk into a shop! It really is super cool, despite its somewhat baggy shape. I wore it with navy cropped wide-leg trousers and heels, and with light wash jeans as shown by the model. Note that the giant weaves you see in the sweater are holes, open to the outside – you'll have to wear something underneath this if it's cold. And don't fear the bagginess – that's part of the sweater. Also note that on me (VERY tall) the sweater was much more cropped than on the model.

Not a fun dress
Oh my, this was a rare miss for a Tory Burch dress! The sleeves were quite tight relative to the bodice – it's strange to have a dress be baggy at the chest and midsection, and snug at the arms and hips. I think this would work on an average-to-petite size 14 with a large (C or bigger) chest. It was poorly proportioned for me, unlike the majority of Tory Burch size 14s.

Oh me oh my – I do believe the model in that photo is 5'4", because on me, the pant legs didn't even approach my ankles. Could there be anything less flattering than mid-calf flared pant legs? I'm pretty sure there couldn't.

Awesome dress. Shorter on me than on the model by about 2", for those tall girls considering this one. The dress is fitted but exceptionally comfy. It's hard to explain why - it doesn't look stretchy but it's actually very stretchy. I'm already renting this again in a few weeks for an outdoor work party! And yes, a guy who wouldn't have known me from a paper bag in high school said the dress was "a work of art." Awesome.

Bridesmaid-y
I just couldn't make this dress work for me - 37-year-old mom - it felt too young, and I looked like a bridesmaid with all that pastel and ruching at the top. I'm a large size 12 these days, and the L was snug on me. When I'm my normal size 10-12, I usually wear a M in BCBG – I think that's a plus for this dress. It felt like it was cut tight enough to stay up all night.

I found this dress a little too short for my personal taste, but in every other respect it was just perfect. I have very tiny boobs and felt comfortable braless and without fashion tape. The 12 was too loose on my waist but I could have easily worn it, too. A great find!

Cute and comfy
This dress would be great for a larger-chested woman (I'm very flat). The bodice of the 12 was quite loose on me, but I couldn't even zip up the 10 around my ribs. I loved the length of the dress, and the material was unexpected and interesting. I will admit this was a super comfy dress to spend the evening in!

Worth every penny
I rented this for a work function – I had to emcee an event that had me on my feet and in front of an audience for about 4 hours. This dress was a workhorse – it looked fresh and unwrinkled and perfect from the minute I put it on at 7 a.m. until I took it off 7 hours later. The blue and black combo was unexpected and very flattering. The dress was a lovely thick crepe that looked smooth and beautiful from every angle. I wish I could keep this dress!

A near miss
Quite the large dress! I wish I had ordered a medium - the Xl would clearly have fit someone who was several inches taller and a dozen pounds heavier than me. The dress's material was quite soft and more casual than I was hoping for.
