Lovely but for me the proportions were off
Adorable dress, but not for me. I'm typically an American size 0. Unfortunately I couldn't zip above my waist. I'm 5/2, 116 lbs, 32b/c, 24 inch waist. That said, I found the skirt interesting but having way too much oomph for my petite frame. If I sized up to a 2, I could zip, but would be lost in the skirt. Also, I didn't like that some of the skirt areas were intentionally crinkled as part of the design. Not a fan. The color is a lovely feminine pink. I think this dress is a 5 star dress for a pear shape.

Stunning & distinctive
Rented for a 1920s Jazz lawn festival. Didn't want to be yet another ordinary fringed flapper & this was perfect! Lotsa compliments. Great detail. The dress has two pieces - a slip & sheer dress with sequins. Even the slip has extraordinary detail: adjustable straps & pin tucking. The dress drapes beautifully. Sequins don't scratch & are beatific. They're matted & more bronze than gold. Classy! Not gimmicky & renting for a wine event next week!

The size fit me perfectly & I received many compliments, but I don't think I'd rent again because I don't like the rauching & feel there was way too much of it on the front stomach area. I'm lean & I feel rauching adds unnecessary bulk on my frame. Also, the sequins can be itchy. The dress has a lot of material--a thick inner lining layer & outer sequin layer, so great for wintery events, but a little heavy & hot if you dance a lot. Happily, you don't ned a bra for this dress, but you can if you prefer. If you rent this dress, be sure to rent the ben-anum gold deco crystal teardrop earrings--perfect match!

Not a gold colored dress
Great HL fit. I'm 5'2, 115 lbs 32c, athletic build & the xs fit like a glove, perfect. I was really disappointed that the color I received was a sand/mauve--no hints if gold anywhere. This mattered for me because I was specifically looking for a gold dress & I love HL. That said, the fab goto tylists helped me out & receiving a different gold dress the next day. Sure I was disappointed, but it never lasts long w/such wonderful ladies at RTR--the very best!!! :)

Fantastic Herve quality, but perhaps for taller ladies?
The dress is the quintessential LBD, but I just feel the proportions didn't work for me. I received only an XS w/no backup size b/c the small wasn't available. That's OK b/c I think the small might have been too big. I'm 5'2 3/4 :), 117lbs, 32C. I have broad shoulders & no hips, but have a bubble butt in case this info helps you determine the size for you. So I felt the open gap might have been too wide open & the shoulders a bit wide. I liked that it hit my knee since it's so tight/fitted & has the wide V. The waist, hip & butt fit great, but as another reviewer noted, somehow it seems like it's too much dress. I still would have worn it, but it came with what I call stress spots because I think they're the result of use & stretching. But the chat ladies were wonderful & refunded me. I already have orders for my upcoming events--I view this one experience an enigma. I LOVE RTR!

Beautifully made, but way too much fabric for me/my size
The V neckline is pretty & the deeper V in back is wonderful, but I didn't realize how much netted rauching there is that runs horizontally across the dress. I feel the fabric made it look matronly & didn't wear. I'm 5'2 & prefer thinner fabrics/more slinky styles for my particular figure.

Stunning, beautifully made dress, but the style wasn't flattering on my figure.
First, the craftsmanship is absolutely gorgeous. The top is very fitted & there's no give. I couldn't zip the top all the way, but he waist & hips fit perfectly. The size 2 top zipped fine, but the waist & hips were way too big. I have a broad back but very narrow waist & hips. I think this dress is probably best for someone straight & narrow. If you're petite like me & usually like jersey-type material because it adjusts to curves (what I typically get), you probably don't want to rent this stunner. I'd like to thank the RTR online chat gals--so wonderful, patient & helpful. Lauren & Clare are phenom! Can't thank you enough. I'm hooked for life & already have showroom appointments for 3 upcoming events over the next 3 months. If you're on the fence about RTR, you can't go wrong at all.

Wonderful fabric feels like silk on your skin, but it runs large, so had to return for another dress
The dress is beautiful & exactly what I was looking for--draping & slinky because I usually look overwhelmed in long dresses. I thought the 38R might have even been too small because I find European sizes can run that way... but nope! the 38R was long unless I wore 5" heels, which I didn't want to do for this occasion. Also, it wasn't as clingy as I expected--was loose in teh wrong places & the straps are not adjustable, so fell long on me. Overall, I think this dress might have too much going on for a petite person, but would be absolutely phenom on a taller person. Also, this dress is best for a lean person--it has no forgiveness for anything because the fabric is so thin, so it would probably show bumps if you have them. The RTR team are unbelievable & completely raise teh bar on customer service. The online chat go-to-girl helped me locate another dress she felt would be great for my body type & got it here in time for my event. This was my first time using RTR, but I'm hooked & will be back for all of my events! Thank you RTR!
