Wore for night out in Vegas and felt amazing!  Dress was spectacular & lots of compliments.

I wore this dress to a Halloween Party - my boyfriend and I dressed as Gatsby & Daisy. I received SO MANY compliments on how amazing my costume was and that we looked like the real deal! The dress fit great, and was very flattering. The sequins were not itchy at all. I loved this dress and would definitely order it again!

I was a little worried as a blonde about renting a gold dress, but the color worked. I loved the sparkly detail and it was perfect for a 1920s themed party. The slip is separate and felt a little cheap, and was also slightly tight, but looked fine once the dress was on. It was a great change from the fringe flapper dresses that everyone else wore!

The dress arrived and was very wrinkled-  ironing helped.  I initially loved the fit and the look but wearing it I could not get the waist to stay up and fold as it should.  Wearing it straight was not as flattering.

The outer layer is a bit loose whereas the inner layer is more tight. Since I ordered two sizes, in the end I wore the size 6 slip with the size 4 outer layer. Nude undergarments are non negotiable with this dress. 

Very fun piece for the birthday party fundraiser I attended which was speakeasy themed! The dress was easy to accessorize because the sequins have an almost mixed metal look to them. I wore two strands of faux pearls (one blue/navy and one pearl), a gold crystal headband, red lipstick and black pumps for the speakeasy look. If you accessorized it differently (less sparkle and pearl), I think it could be worn for a fun (non themed) night out.

I loved this dress! It was the sparkly dress amongst the sea of LBDs at the ballroom dance studio party. The fit was perfect, and the length was just right. I received lots of compliments!

I purposefully ordered this in a larger size than I normally wear because the 20's were not a form fitting decade. It worked perfectly for the occasion. If you have a 20's event to go to, order up for a looser "flapper" look.

I really liked this dress! Everyone said I looked like a flapper. The size 6 was unavailable , but I would assume this would have fit me better than the 8. The slip was showing above the v neck, but again if I wore the 6 maybe that wouldn't have been the case. 

I didn't get a full-length picture!  UGH!  And I regret it deeply because this dress is DIVINE!  I am not one to like to be the center of attention, but this dress is a head-turner.  It garnered compliments all. night. long.  It's easy to wear - no special bra required - and fun.  The sequins did catch on my hair all night.  After a few drinks, I didn't notice it much.  So consider low updo - nothing too fussy though b/c the dress is enough.  I wore vintage-looking chandelier earrings and nude D'Orday heels to round it out.  No other jewelry b/c the dress is enough.

Now about the sizing... it's supposed to be a little blousy, so when people say that it "runs large", it doesn't really.  It's totally true to size.  In fact, I wish I'd done a size up in my backup rather than down to see if it would have fit better.  On me because I'm a busty girl, the 8 fit everywhere but my chest was a little snug.  So I totally would have gone up for that and to make it look the way it should.  Other than that, it was perfect!

The dress was beautiful and I had a lot of compliments. I thought it was a little big around the midsection and I had to scrunch up the band in the middle a little so it would flatter my figure a bit more. Overall, I liked the dress, it was comfortable, and the sequins didn't give me a hard time getting stuck to anything.

The fit and style and color  were all great.  I liked that the waist is elastic and the top kind of folds over the tummy area! :)

This dress was everything I wanted-comfortable, easy to wear and made a statement.  I felt so pretty in the dress and the compliments continued throughout the evening.  To note, the slip underneath the dress is slim fitting, but the sheath on top is more roomy.  If I were to rent again, I would have ordered the size 4 and 6 and used the size 6 slip with the size 4 sheath.  The elastic was a bit shot, so it was hard to bunch around my waist, plus it was a bit roomy so it hard to settle on my hips.  It was not a dealbreaker in the least, and I felt fabulous!  Would rent again!  

The fit was perfect. Not too tight and overall a very comfortable dress. 

I loved this dress! I planned a nice dinner out with friends for my birthday and enjoyed this freebie as part of RTR Pro. It was comfortable, fun, and photographed great! It ran a little big, so I wore the bigger slip for length and the smaller dress. Wish I owned this one!

I ordered a size 8, and a size 6 for back up. Thankful I ordered the back up, as that is the one I wore. The size 6 fit amazing (ran big in my opinion). 

I got so many complements on this dress for my rehearsal dinner! I loved it. Comfortable and still sexy. I really enjoyed this dress and would love to own it!

I rented this dress for a friend's wedding. I absolutely loved this dress- the slip and the dress both had a bit of spandex material which made them fit great. I got so many compliments on this dress- I would definitely rent it again!

Rented for 1920's themed wedding, the dress was exactly what I expected it to be. Based on the other reviews I read, I'm glad I went with a 6, as the 4 was too tight around the waist. This dress makes you feel stunning and it's comfortable to wear.

I got compliments on this dress all night. One woman told me it was maybe the best dress she'd EVER seen. :)

While the dress fit perfectly, the lining did not. I had to use my own tank/dress camisole, otherwise the lining pulled and squashed my chest.

Rented for a 1920s Jazz lawn festival. Didn't want to be yet another ordinary fringed flapper & this was perfect! Lotsa compliments. Great detail. The dress has two pieces - a slip & sheer dress with sequins. Even the slip has extraordinary detail: adjustable straps & pin tucking. The dress drapes beautifully. Sequins don't scratch & are beatific. They're matted & more bronze than gold. Classy!  Not gimmicky & renting for a wine event next week! 

I ordered 3 dresses to choose from to wear to my daughters wedding. This one fit my DD bust and looked pretty good so that makes it a winner!

This was my first time using Rent the Runway, and it was absolutely fantastic. The dress arrived quickly and fit perfectly. I didn't even try the bigger size. The dress itself was great. Pros: true to size, beautiful detail, formal but still very comfortable (could dance in it all night, no problem). Con: not the most figure flattering, as it's kinda a boxy shape, but still a cute dress nonetheless.

The dress fit comfortably & is really unique looking. I literally just put it on and left the house- didn't need to adjust anything or wear any special undergarments. I got lots of compliments throughout the night. It's definitely more of a pretty dress than a sexy dress- it's pretty conservative.  

The fit was true to size. No cons that I can think of.

The waist was a bit big. I had to tie a rope around to keep it in the right place. But overall the dress was great.

This dress was exactly what I hoped it would be! Perfect for a wedding in New Orleans with a metallic and navy theme. The slip was a bit short but was not a problem. The gold detail is beautiful! Never felt too hot, material was comfortable and easy to move in. It was a hit! 

I got the last available size, which was a 4, i'm definitely a 6. It still worked. Elastic waist was a life saver. With the right heels and hair it felt dressy enough for a May-afternoon Black Tie Wedding. 

The dress has great reviews & I was so excited for it to arrive.  Then it exceeded my wishes!  Comfortable, unique style, & classy!  This dress is a show stopper.  

We said goodbye to my 20's with a prohibition theme party and this dress was perfect - felt modern and pretty but went with the theme.  The lining is completely separate from the sheath so I wore a black slip underneath instead of the nude.  Better for winter skin tone!!  The dress is very comfortable but the elastic at the waistband shifted around a bit during the night.  I'm happier with how I look in some pics vs. others based on what's happening at my waist!

I loved the dress and got many compliments. The slip felt a little too short but it didn't look too short. The sequins scratched under my arms a bit but it wasn't even noticeable until the next day. Based on the reviews, I wanted this dress in a size 2 but it was not available. I ordered a 4 with a 0 as my backup size. I was then told the 0 was unavailable so I was sent a 2 in a similar dress. It was generally the same dress but the sequins and slip were pink. Strangely, the 2 felt bigger than the 4. I ended up wearing the 4 in the original style I picked (cream color slip and bronze sequins) because the color was more flattering on me. I would recommend this dress and will definitely be using rent the runway again.

I ordered the 4 & 6 but the 4 was a little too short! The six overlay did stretch out a lot as the night went on but it was fine!! Great dress for the whole evening and I got so many compliments! I would have kept this dress if I Could have!! Super comfortable and would recommend it to anyone!!


Loved wearing this dress--it's forgiving in the waistline, comfortable to move around in, and random people stopped me to compliment the dress.  Would rent this one again for sure!

Very comfortable and super easy to dance in.  My only complaint is that the sequins on the sleeves slightly irritated my arms after a while, but it was minimal and I didn't notice it during the event.

I wasn't crazy about the dress itself and wasn't even going to wear it but then I tried it with a white tank  it actually looked really cute.  With the slip it made me look bland and didn't do anything for my figure. Other than that the tunic part is really beautiful. The white tank really made the design pop. 

Pros- very comfortable, doesn't ride up when you sit down

I rented this for a Gala event for my husband's bank. It has a weird fit around the waist, but it is a really gorgeous dress that was fun and easy to wear. If I had shape wear that fit, that would have helped. 

This dress if very beautiful and flattering for hour glass shape. I attended a very conservative high school so I had to wear a slip underneath just in case it was too short, but I do not think it is too short for the ordinary woman. The cinch at the waste is very flattering. I loved this dress!

The fit was perfection! ~I ordered a size 6 and a size 8, and ended up using the size 6 dress and size 8 slip~ I have a broad upper body/thin waste/wide hips, so the fact that this dress has cap sleeves and still managed to fit my legs and arms comfortably was more than I ever expect out of a dress. The only discomforts: Sequins are uncomfortable to sit on for long periods of time, taking the dress off left me with a few scratches because of the sequins. It's such a great "in between" of fancy & casual dressy. I wore this to a catholic ceremony & country themed wedding reception and never felt over or under dressed!
