I rented this dress for a black tie gala event. It fit perfectly and I felt very glamorous. Unlike other sequined dresses I have worn before, it wasn't itchy and didn't snag. The top was pretty supportive - I wore silicone nipple covers and no bra with no problem. The length was great with heels - never felt that I was going to step on the hem, or trip and fall. It was figure flattering for a curvy figure sure. I'd rent it again!

I am typically a size 10 and couldn't get into that even a little bit. This dress certainly runs small. The 12 young just barely fit - no room to spare even for Spanx - but once it was on it was GOOD. Looked like I had been poured into the dress, without being tacky. Wore at a black tie optional wedding and felt great dancing all night. I had gone with the 12 L for the size up as 12 R wasn't available, which worked well with my 5 inch heels, but with more reasonable shoes would have been too long. Also, this photo happens to be a good angle but it was not very forgiving at the stomach. If you are self conscious about that area I wouldn't get this dress.

This is technically a jumpsuit, but be clear that when its worn it looks like a dress. Wore this to a movie premiere with a client that had a Christmas theme. It was very comfortable and I got compliments at every turn. The neckline is a deep V, you just have to go with it. But it's very supportive, didn't have to wear a bra and never thought I would spill out. This is a great holiday look for events during the holidays.

I wore this to a concert, and it was certainly an attention grabber. Chic, and not to revealing while still having a flirty feel. I have ample hips, but felt appropriately covered even when bending down. The big note is that this is a DEEP V. If you are small busted, you can probably get away with double sided tape...but starting from a 'B' cup, I think you will need a shirt under this. I wasn't expecting that, so threw on a sports bra at the last minute, which worked just fine. The colors are less vibrant that the photo...looks like it has been washed a lot...but it's a minor complaint. If the purchase price wasn't north of $600, this would be staying at my house!

I wore this dress for a wedding rehearsal dinner the night before a destination wedding on a tropical island. This is a great dress to show off an hourglass figure without being too revealing. I got lots of compliments on the color and fit. Thought it was very humid, I didn't get sweat marks on my dress. I did not wear a bra, but if I had to do it again I would wear adhesive nipple covers. Also know that the material is tight - not so much that it's uncomfortable in general, but going up steps or stairs will require a little maneuvering.

I wore this romper to a party on the beach. This is a great alternative to a swimsuit for an event like that - the color works great by the water, and the shorts allow for dancing and sitting without worry of showing too much skin. I did not walk more than 10 feet without a compliment, and this is certainly one of my favorite RTR items ever! In terms of bra, I wore nipple covers, but there is enough coverage under the bandeau that you could wear a raceback or strapless bar. I also wore flats given my event was on the sand, but you can definitely wear heels to dress this up. I wore a 10, but could have probably gotten away with an 8. Considering purchasing! - that's how much I liked this ensemble!

I ordered this jumpsuit to wear at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, which is a work event for me. Needed something comfortable which was also fashionable, and this definitely fit the bill. The cut outs give the outfit a modern feel, but it's not so tight that it's inappropriate or uncomfortable. The length works well if you need to wear flats as I did, though this would also look very good with heels. The material is pretty thick and stretchy - there is no need for a bra (I wore nipple covers but don't think I needed them) and full coverage panties and no lines were visible through this fabric. It's very flattering and there were endless compliments. The only concern is I have no idea how anyone would get in this alone - my sister had to zip me in and out at the beginning and end of the night as well as for bathroom breaks. It was a very tough zipper and a challenge each time, and not because the outfit was too small.

This was selected by a RTR stylist as an alternate when the romper I selected was not available to ship. I wore is for a day of birthday festivities, which included running errands before my pole dance party (!) and a casual dinner out. It fit like a glove and I was very comfortable while being so active. The shorts did not ride up too much (even in the dance class) which is often a problem with my thick thighs. I felt confident and sexy, but not trashy. Do I really have to send it back?!? It doesn't show well in this photo, but the back is pretty open so I wore pasties - a bra won't work. I wore regular underwear as the material was thick enough not to reveal panty lines.

Wore this to the Grammys and got so many compliments! The cut and sequins lends well to edgy accessories (for example, wore boots instead of heels which paired well!). The dress looks a lot more psychedelic in the picture (which I caught in the mirror at the venue as I was moving around), but overalls has a more static look on real life. And the reviews are right - it's huge. The recommendations for getting the long lengths did not work for me - it's too long, even with three inch heels. I ordered large and medium, both long, but probably the medium regular or maybe even small would have worked. A high waisted belt would help. I felt like I was drowning in the dress - like it was a maternity dress. Wouldn't order again.

Despite the size (larger than came across in the photo), the earrings are not distracting and went well with the mostly black dress I also rented from RTR. Big enough that they can be seen if you plan to wear your hair down, but not so big that they are distracting). I didn't realize the were clip ons which made me nervous, but there was no issue with them slipping off at all. And they definitely look plastic. Wasn't in love with them, but they did the job.

Rented this dress for an award show in Atlanta in January when it's quite cool out. Per previous reviews, wanted to get the Long, but none were available in anything close to my size so went with Regular. Indeed I wish I had the longer length; I am 5'4" and was wearing 4 inch heels which you could see to the ankle. The dress would have been more flattering if it went all the way to the floor. That being said, I got many compliments and the structure is very flattering for a curvy figure. I wore Spanx and no bra, but you can really get away without Spanx and a strapless bra would work fine. The netting does not have backing do straps would be seen and know your arms and shoulders are exposed to the air.

Rented this dress for a Golden Globes party. I am 5'4" and like many posters found the dress to be a little on the short side in 3 inch heels, even though I ordered the Long. Wore mine with a strapless bra and Spanx - didn't find the dress to be particularly tight, just body skimming. The only picture I have alone doesn't show the shoulder detail, but it's fun and photographs well., though more full maybe than the photos indicate. I rented the bracelet I am wearing to match the rhinestones and pearl detail, but it was much much brighter than the dress. I mostly had my hair off to the side most of the night, but if I were to wear the dress again would have put my hair up or in a bun. It's definitely a little understated, but I blended in well at this very formal event.

This is the first RTR dress I have rented that I didn't love. The reviews are right. That bodice is super tight. It was crushing at the bust, but not sure a size up would have helped as the stomach area was a little big (it made me look like I had a love handle). Also to see the split you really have to stick your leg out as far as the photo, otherwise it just doesn't show. My dress came with no hook on the side, zipper which you really need if you do not have help to zip it up. I ended up not wearing it at all. Bummer.

This is a great dress for curvy women who like short dresses, but don't get to wear them often because you don't want to pull it down all night. This dress has a thick fabric and it stays put, even when getting up from a chair. The lace was not itchy at all, which is usually a huge issue for me as I have very sensitive skin. The non laced material is stretchy and sucks you in. I did not have to wear a bra, there was adequate support. Had a fun night on the town feeling sexy in this! The medium did not fit at all by the way, it really is true to size.

I ordered this look for the Beyonce and Jay-Z concert at the Rose Bowl, which is an outdoor venue in Pasadena, California. I wanted to try the 8, but RTR was out so I got the 10 and the 12. Didn't even try the 12 on since the 10 was slightly roomy. I guess I didn't realize the black bustier type insert came with it...would probably be sexier without! It's not exactly supportive, so if you have a large bust you will need a strapless bra, but I went without just fine. There are some discomfort issues that comes with sequins - my clutch kept snagging on it, and it got a little irritating between the thighs and under the arms, but I wasn't surprised given the material. I did not have any issues with the boning as I have read in some other reviews. Got a lot of compliments and felt appropriate for the venue - very fun outfit for a night out on the town. Note the color doesn't photograph true - looks more silver in pics but it's a true gold!

Wore this dress for the 2014 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans. It was the perfect outfit for both interacting with clients and dancing along to the music. Very comfortable and great for the humid weather. There was some weird bunching whenever you out your hand in the pockets that I didn't notice until pictures, but that's a minor quibble. I was asked at least 20 times "where did you get that outfit"! Felt professional but feminine at the same time! You do need an adhesive bra (I did not buckle mine), as the material that covers the cleavage is quite sheer and there is an opening in the back.

The other comments above the skirt riding up when walking around are true - I kept tugging mine down. I think that was an issue of the size probably being one too small for me - I got the 8 (which I couldn't zip up) and the 10, and probably should have really worn a 12. Still it was run and comfortable in the top, and perfect for a summer night out on the town. Would rent again in a bigger size. Due to the deep back you will definitely need an adhesive bra or something like that.

Wore this to the 2014 BET Awards - it was classy enough for the event, but comfortable enough for the amount of walking around I had to do (I attended for work, not for play). I wore a size 10, which is my regular size and it got perfectly - form fitting without being tight. The silver thread serves as it's own accessory; nothing else really needed. The slip is indeed navy, but the dress presents as black in person, but more navy blue in pictures. I did find the lace overlay itchy at the arms - if you have sensitive silk be aware of this.

Wore this dress to a gifting suite and daytime concert. Got many compliments and date offers throughout the day! I am a large medium, and wore a medium just fine - the large was way too big. It is not forgiving at the waist (should have worn Spanx) and does emphasize your bust. You need a backless bra or adhesive strapless bra (what I wore) as it dips in the back; however the material is thick enough to go braless as well if you have a smaller bust. It also is longer than shown (still above the knee, but not mid thigh either, at least on my 5'4" frame). Color is to die for, a real attention grabber. Next time, I would add a colorful necklace too.
