After exhaustive (i.e. obsessive) review of black tie options on RTR, I decided to rent this dress for a friend's wedding. Perfect choice. Classy with a little bit of sexy due to the cross back. The top fit perfectly. Others are correct in saying the there is definitely extra room in the hips. I by no means have a straight figure and had no issues. In fact it was a little loose, but sizing down may have compromised the fit of the top. I would size down for my back up if I rented this again. Of course some sort of backless bra is required. Note that the low cut square neckline of the dress does easily slip down so the bra better be a demi cup. Had to use fashion tape to fix that little issue. Spanx not a requirement but may help depending on how tight it is on you. I rented the regular length because I wanted to wear flats and it worked out well. Throughout the night, I received numerous compliments on this rental. VERY very pleased with this dress. Quality design that is extremely figure flattering.

Rented this dress for a fashion show. First, its important to point out that the main reason I ordered this dress was due to the awesome mesh panels in the back. However, when I received the dress the back was NOT the same (see pic). I was disappointed and contacted RTR customer support. Natasha was very apologetic and promised to look into the situation. I could have chosen another dress but i stuck with it. The material is very thick which hides problem areas but can also bunch up as it did for me at the waist. The top fit as a true size 6 on me but I felt the skirt was a little on the large side. Perhaps this dress is best for pear shapes. You cannot wear a bra with this so I pulled out the tape! Women with larger chests may have an issue with fit. I would look elsewhere next time BUT I will continue to use RTR. Their customer service can't be beat.

Rented this for a Napa Valley vacation. The material definitely was showing some wear but likely wasn't noticeable to anyone but myself. As others say, it runs a little large. I typically wear a 6 but I felt as if the 6 wasn't as tight as a bodycon dress should be and thus didn't hold anything in. I may have been able to squeeze into a 4 for a better fit. Spanx are a definite requirement. All in all not my favorite rental. Not a huge fan of the pattern and even less of a fan of the material. Would not return to this one.

Loved this dress. Wore is to a Halloween party instead of a costume. Definitely bodycon. As another reviewer said..."it fits like a glove". While that may seem scary to some, the tightness of this dress works in the wearers favor as it holds everything in and accentuates curves. However, it can be hard to get on and even harder to get off. Runs small. Large was the best choice for me (typically a size 6). Great pattern. Not so short you have to be constantly concerned. Of course with the make of the dress it does occasionally require some readjustment so it doesn't ride up. Overall I loved it. Got compliments as I often do when using RTR. It was sexy without being too revealing. Would rent it again!

Rented this dress as a back-up but ended up wearing it to a party. I typically wear a 6. A size 6 in this dress fit me fine everywhere but in my larger ribcage. Guess that is a common issue because one of the hooks on the back of the dress had apparently been broken off and hastily sewn back on. This attempted non-functional reattachment resulted in my poor boyfriend struggling with safety pins so I could even wear the dress. And as other reviewers pointed out, fashion tape is a must with the low cut neckline. All in all this was a little too much trouble to wear. Looked ok on but in my opinion, the end result was not worth the effort for me.

I was wary as this was the first time I attempted to rock a romper. However I took a risk and rented this for my friend's birthday party. The other reviewers are definitely correct about it not being ideal for long-waisted girls. However, I had taken their advice and sized up from a 6 to and 8. It worked well enough for me. It was a little loose but I actually ended up liking the relaxed fit of the outfit. Also correct, the romper is REALLY SHORT! So if you don't have the confidence to wear more risqué pieces then do not choose this. No need to special undergarments for this. Forgiving in the torso. Simple. Cute. Good choice for a combination of style and comfort if you don't mind the short length. I would rent it again.

Rented this dress for a Gatsby-themed party. Was concerned about the fit and was waffling between sizes. Others said that it fit tight in hips and thighs. I usually wear a 6 and am bigger in the butt and hips but the medium fit without any issue. I likely could have gone with a small for a more "fitted" look but the dress really isn't meant to be worn that way. Hit about 6 inches above the knee. You can wear a strapless bra. The beading was in surprisingly good condition. Had many compliments and may have turned one or two girls on to RTR because of this rental. Great choice for a stand out dress with a relaxed fit.

I rented this dress to wear to a graduation ceremony. It definitely looks different than the pics but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's made with a bonded textured weave, raw cut seams, and split skirt. Few issues. Make sure you go one size up for your back up size because being that it's made in Italy, it is noticeably smaller. I fit in my normal size 6 but only barely. Trying to imitate a wrap skirt in the front looks cool...standing up. However, since it is basically split up to the waist, sitting down without showing everything is a bit of a challenge. Also the dress has what everyone refers to as "nipple darts" but honestly with a good bra to fill out the chest area they aren't that noticeable. All that being said, the dress looks beautiful. It just screams designer. Despite the challenges, I was happy to wear it and received compliments. Without RTR, I never would have been able to wear such a fashion forward dress of this caliber. Always a happy customer.

Rented this dress for a St. Patrick's Day pub crawl with my friends. I was fine standing out in a sea of green. The corral color (looks more pink in photos) of the dress goes well with my skin tone and I think would look great with all darker or tan skin tones. Fits true to size. Bodycon bottom with flowy top and super plunging neckline. Note that I was able to wear the U Plunge Backless bra from Victoria Secret which helped give me some much needed cleavage!! I think its a must for this dress if you have small boobs like me. Fashion tape is also a must to secure the top. Was the perfect length for my 5'8"+ height, short but not scandalously so. Photographs very well! Overall another great experience from RTR.

I rented this dress for a local Opera with my mother and boyfriend and it was perfect for the occasion: classy with a hint of sexy. It is short, which I was fine with, but not too short to cause an issue (I'm 5'8 3/4"). Thick and flowy material. Very stretchy. I was able to wear the 6 but as other reviewers said, it bunched up weirdly in the back. Most importantly, I am long-waisted so the accents to the waist of the size 6 dress just did not lay right on my torso. Depending on your body type slimming garments may be needed. It is very slim-fitting in the torso. Loved the flare of the skirt at the waist. Overall great quality dress. Perfect for more conservative occasions.

Had this shipped overnight and received it early the next day. No issues. A great start to this RTR experience in my book. Rented this dress to wear to an art function. I could not have been more pleased. The dress was a unique combination of a chic silhouette with old-fashioned lace. LOVED IT! However, must warn people, it is SHORT! I am about 5' 8 3/4" (if we want to get technical), and it fell just below my butt. I was a little concerned at first but it stayed in place. I agree with other reviewers to size down because of the fit and flare of the dress. I am typically a size 6 but wore the size 4. It was still a little loose on my torso but no one noticed except for me. No slimming garments required. Received tons of compliments! Made the night more enjoyable! Great for all body types. Would definitely recommend this one.

Rented this for a birthday party as a back-up. My first dress did not work so I had high hopes for this dress. I loved the great beading design of the top part of the dress, which fit my size 6-8 upper body well. However, the tiered bottom was ill fitting as it was quite large on my size 8 hips and butt and the was not slimming in any way. It was so loose in the back that it sagged unattractively. Could not wear it. However, I continue to be impressed with RTR in general, especially their "no risk" return policy, and am already planning my next rental.

Wore this dress for my best friend's rehearsal dinner. It was an excellent choice. I typically wear a 6/8. Fit perfectly in a size 8. Great silhouette and deep red color. Only negative is that it wrinkles very easily! Received many compliments and did not regret my choice. Continue to be impressed by RTR.

It is definitely true that this dress runs small. I typically wear an 8 but it was a tight fit in the hips and somewhat restrictive. However, the 10 was also slightly too large for my size 34C boobs. The fashion tape RTR provided came to the rescue and the dress definitely impressed at my friend's residency graduation banquet. This is the first time I have rented for RTR and I am very satisfied. The experience was easy, the dress (and back-up size) were delivered on time, and it looked great. I am now an RTR fan!
