I ignored other reviews to me peril lol. I'm 36D and have a large ribcage. Although I typically have no problem with size 8 or 10, there was literally no chance I was ever going to close the zipper on this. Hips and waist fit fine - just the chest was way to small for me.

Beautiful dress, lots of fabric. It's quite long and great for tall women, I'm not sure how anyone shorter than me (I'm 6') could wear it. I had to return because it was a bit too large - if you're between sizes go down.

After reading the reviews I was hoping this would be an awesome quirky piece for a tall woman. Alas! It's hard to tell in the photo, but there is actually a waist built into this as well as pockets. They sit VERY high up on a tall frame and make the whole thing terribly awkward. Couldn't wear. Beautiful piece, great fabric, etc... but seems like it's not really built for any body shape.

Looks like such a boring sweater dress in the photo, but I took a risk and ordered it because I love the designer. So glad I did! Beautiful dress, I'e kept it for over a month and worn multiple times. Compliments every time. Fit is great, long dress has a lot of movement, just looks well made when you put it on. I rented this last year and loved it. Perfect to put on with jeans for a smart look, or can even dress it up for work with slacks for a slightly unusual look. Rented it last year and loved it. Rented again this year and decided to keep it this time around! Note the sleeves are 3/4 and there is some odd tucking in the lapel area. I love it, but not a traditional fit.

Absolutely love the dress. As others have said, it runs long. I'm 6' and got the regular, not the long, because I wanted to wear it with sandals on the beach. At 6' the regular was just below ankle length - so I'd guess on most ladies the dress will be way too long without major heels. I have a wide chest and this was pretty tight, and the side patches of fabric don't lay flat the right way, they kind of pucker up. No give at all - the lacing doesn't move, no stretch in the material, and no zipper, so if you're a broader chest size up. LOVE the dress - colors, movement, and fabric are all amazing. If you're considering renting, go for it!

Holy low cut!
I was intrigued by all the reviews, so figured I'd like to see for myself. The dress is BEAUTIFUL. Amazing fabric. Yes, the silver is a shinny metallic, but it's not sparkly - very tasteful. Fit is lovely. The dress is on the long side. But really, very flattering. It is quite low cut. A little too exposed for my taste. I wouldn't have needed any tape - at 36D it fit nice and snug in the chest and no fear of a costume malfunction. Also no need for any kind of hidden support or coverage as the material is very thick. However, the gap of fabric was quite wide - almost a half of each breast exposed. So I'd say do rent if you're an A or B, and grab some tape to keep it in place. Do not rent if you're bigger and unless you want to be showing off a lot of skin. Again, stunning dress, really beautifully made and looks so good in person.

AMAZING dress
Based on the other reviews, I was afraid this would be too tight. I'm usually an 8 and the 10 wasn't available. I went with the 8 and couldn't have been happier. Took the advise of other reviewers and stepped into the dress rather than trying to pull it over my head. Really, a beautiful piece. Classy, elegant, not too showy, but obviously beautifully made. The only complaint - the way the top piece works, my chest was showing through an itty bitty hole where the pieces of fabric met. If you look at other reviewer photos you'll see what I mean. If you're well endowed, just expect this to happen!

Holy Indecent Batman!
STUNNING dress. Sadly, couldn't possibly wear it with my 36Ds. As other reviewers have said, you need to be "perky" as a starting point. I am... but even still there simply wasn't enough fabric to cover everything that needed to be covered. I was at the beach and tried it over a bikini top, but it just looked weird. So I'd recommend this dress for perky Cs and below. Really disappointing that I couldn't wear it, as the dress is really a show stopper. More beautiful in person. The colors are gorgeous and the cut is divine. Rent this dress!

Great piece
I needed something for a long day of flying/conferences/meetings/dinner/flying. This was perfect. Not too heavy, professional, but still stylish and interesting. Lots of compliments. There were a few pulls, picks and stray strings, but nothing that anyone would notice. Fits true to size in shoulders and chest, but the the coat is cut to be large, almost like a swing style. Really enjoyed it, would rent again.

Not work appropriate - but awesome dress!
I rented for a work event. The construction of the dress is really remarkable. It didn't drape in as interesting a way as it does on the model. For the price, it's not the "wow" look that I would expect - glad it was an unlimited rental. The dress has a wrap skirt that comes up REALLY HIGH when you sit down. I was strategically placing napkins and clutches over my lap every time I sat down all night. It goes past "short" to "inappropriate"... but only when sitting. As a result, ended up wearing it for a night out instead of for work. Works really well for tall women.

So interesting!
Really unusual dress. The "over" skirt is heavy and thick. The "under" skirt is thin and light, almost see-through. The construction is fascinating. The overskirt is open in the back as shown in the photos. The black ribbon attaches to either side of the overskirt, so it provides very minimum shaping. Overall, even with the ribbon, the look is loose and boxy. Be prepared to iron for a long time. A steamer won't do it - the overskirt material is waaay too thick. Compliments everywhere I went, people stopping me in restaurants, etc. A lot of fun!

As others noted, the dress is HEAVY. I used a ton of double sided fashion tape to get it all draping just right. Particularly if you want the sheer inner cross-over layer to show, you'll definitely need to spend time with the tape. A little tricky to get on if you're on the well-endowed side as there are no zippers and the fabric is cinched around the waist. The fit is loose and draped, so don't expect form fitting. The deep v-neck with the show-through sheer wrap layer and the high leg slit give it just the right amount of sexy. More sparkly in real life than in the photos. The one I got was in great condition. All the beads in place and didn't see any noticeable snags. Just a few strings here and there. Compliments all night.

This is a FABULOUS piece. So cozy and comfortable. The description says it's gray - it is, but not noticeably, so you can really pair it with whatever you want to. I kept it for weeks and dressed it up and down, work, nights out, and weekends. The panels of fur have stretchy material between them that is somewhat see-through, but not an issue since it's really hidden by the fur. Pockets are a nice extra. Really, I didn't want to send it back. A must rent!

Nice piece, but couldn't wear it. Sleeves were too short, body was too short, and tie was too high up. Sent it right back. It was SO short that I'd only suggest for ladies 5'6" and under. Maaaaybe 5'8", but I think that's be pushing it. RTR, PLEASE stop saying that everything is good for "tall" when it is so obvious that it is not! Please hire a stylist who is over 5'10" and save us all the hassle of renting something that you designate as good for tall women when there is no chance that it'll fit a tall woman.

A little too form fitting
LOVELY dress. The color and cut make this a real stand out. It's perfect for a business elegant event... except that it's a little more form fitting than it appears in the photos. It doesn't have any stretch, and it's not really a sheath as shown. Rather, it's curve hugging in the extreme. Although the 8 (44) fit true to size, I decided it was a little too close for comfort for a professional event. I'm planning to rent again and size up for my next event with the hope that it will be more professional appropriate.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but the underskirt is fitted and the knitted over-skirt has a wide cut-out on the sides. The front view is as pictured (although the underskirt isn't quite that long), but the side view is just... weird. The "flare" of the over-skirt makes it look like you're pregnant from the side view. I've had my eye on this one for a while, but when it finally arrived, it just hung in my closet until I gave up trying to talk myself into wearing it. A meh piece for me.

I'm not one for patterns, but ended up wearing this many times before returning. It looked like it'd be big, so I sized down to a small. Even at 6'0 with a large chest, sizing down was definitely the way to go. If a small fits me, then smaller girls be warned - you'll probably swim in it! It was a great piece for work or dressed down with skinny jeans. Compliments everywhere I went. Another great RTR piece!

It's hard to tell in the photos, but the dress is VERY sparkly thanks to the all-over gold sequins. It doesn't look as "patterned" or as dark as in the photo. This is a full on gold sequin dress, so if that's not your thing, don't rent! It's very well constructed and extremely comfortable. It's weight (heavy) and thickness (very thick), coupled with that great construction, make it a great dress if you're planning to eat a lot and are worried about after dinner belly pouch. Also, you can't really wear a bra with the low back but it's not an issue due to thickness of the fabric.

Fit a little odd
I sized up because other reviewers mentioned that the arms were tight and the dress is not stretchy. It ended up being too snug around the chest (I'm at 34D), too big around the waist, and okay in the rear. The arms were very tight, even in the 10. Not a good dancing dress, but fine for an evening at the ballet. It arrived too late for my event so unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to wear it. Note that as many others have said, the slip is WAY too long - hangs out a good two inches. It also looked like mine had been hemmed and re-hemmed, and there were strings hanging out all over the place. The dress is STUNNING, but the odd fit and slip problem make it a 4 start for me.

This shirt is amazing. Drapes beautifully. It's a bit sheer, so I'd recommend a tank top. I'm 6'0 tall, so always concerned about length. This shirt was plenty long enough in the sleeves and the body for a tall woman. The only difficulty is it wrinkles VERY easily. I wore a fitted coat over it, and the draping was completely wrinkled when I got to work, so avoid tight coats, seat belts, and cross over bags! Can't recommend this highly enough. It's so fun, so different, so beautiful!

All the reviews are right. The cut is awesome, the material is great, it's super flattering, and the color really pops. It was just a little too bright for my event, and the dart on under the bust was a little too weird for me. The skirt is AMAZING, just wish the top dart wasn't there. I'm 6' tall, and it was definitely a little too short, a little too low cut, the belt too high, and the see-through lace placed a bit too daringly. Aside from that, fabulous dress! A little short/showy for work, but nonetheless transitioned very well from day to night. Paired with stiletto black booties to turn it into a party dress and lots of compliments. Would rent again!

I rented the same dress in the blue color for a wedding and it was STUNNING. I rented the same size (M) in the pink for another event and this time it was waaaaay too small. I'm a normal size 8. Perhaps the blue was stretched out? Whatever the case, this one had to go back. Might have been appropriate for a bachelorette party, but not a fundraiser!

Lovely - but terrible for tall ladies
Beautiful cut and wonderful material. Shiny with just a bit of give. I'm an 8, and it was true to size. Unfortunately, it definitely does not work for tall women. I'm 6', and the waist came up right under my chest. The rise was also way too short. No way would it be comfortable (or appropriate) to wear. I saw one reviewer needed tape - I found the fit on top to be great, no tape needed (I'm a 34D). Unfortunately, due to the length issue, it had to go right back in the bag. RTR, please get tall stylists and don't keep saying that everything is suited for tall women when some things clearly will not work!

I rented for a conference. The dress is lovely. Great tailoring on top, the skirt swings around beautifully. Heavy weight and color are great for the fall. My only complaint is that it's BIG. It's clearly meant to be on the boxy side, but even so, it's still enormous. Size down for sure. Since there's no defined waist this works well for tall ladies (I'm 6' and it was a perfect length); long enough to be work appropriate.

More a "giant poncho" than "jacket"
Very cozy and warm. It's a poncho, not a jacket. There are snaps that "close" the arms, but they don't stay closed (the fabric is too heavy) and in any event, wouldn't give it enough shape to call it a coat. Perfect for a chilly autumn day out on the town. I'm an 8 and the M/L was like a tent. Definitely size down. I was going to give it 3 stars because I didn't think it was anything special, but after a week of compliments left and right, I'll bump it to a 4!
