I do not have a long, lean torso. I'm short and my torso is proportionally short. This dress bunches up a lot at the midsection if you don't have a long torso.

The lining is cotton jersey, and the dress was much more of a stretchy, casual piece than I realized. There's no zip--you literally pulled it over your head and pulled down. I sized up to a 6 (normally am a 4 in DVF), and it was still very short. I'm 5'4" but this barely came over my bum. I thought the lining was pilling and the dress looked clearly worn. I returned it but the RTR staff was so great about helping me find a replacement dress for my party this weekend.

As the other reviewers noted, this runs really short. I'm 5'4", got the medium and the dress just barely came over my bottom. I would size up for length. The material is also very very thick; I would get this for an outdoors event in the winter. Because the material is thick, it can be a little unflattering if it's too tight.

I didn't realize the liner was seersucker; it probably would have been better as a summer dress. That being said, this was really well constructed and it hugged my body in all the right spots. It was just a little bit tight, but I think a larger size would have been too baggy for me.

I loved the color of this dress and the shape made it very comfortable for a birthday dinner and drinks. However, the lace was a little more "rustic" or "thick" than I would have liked so the contrast wasn't as great between the sleeves and the body. Great size; very glam. The snakeskin was slightly more silver than I had realized (it's very noticeable). I wish this had a shoulder strap or cross-body strap. The handles wouldn't fit over my shoulders and it made it a little annoying on a NYC subway commute.

Gorgeous! I would say this runs a little smaller than most herves (or maybe because it's new, it's less stretched out?) I wore an XS in another herve i rented from RTR, but the XS on this one was super tight around the midsection. They are heavy, but that also attests to the quality of the earrings. The stones are more gray than black (they look black in the photo), but they were still perfect with my dress. They are clip-on though, fyi.

I rented this for a grad party. Gorgeous colors, the print was super cute. The fabric is a thick woven-knit, but it's only lined on top, not the bottom. That's fine because it's not see through but just FYI. I sized up to a 42. a 40 fit better around my waist, but it was too tight across the chest. I've rented from this designer before and it definitely runs small.

It fit really small--i tried it on the showroom and thank god I did because the 4R barely zipped. They gave me a 10R and that fit more like a 6. I ended up getting the 8R and the 6R as my back up and went with the 6R but could have done the 8R too. It was a beautiful dress otherwise. Note that the dress is made up of panels--it's not one whole overlay on the bottom, but several panels that stream down from the waist. This isn't a problem but just FYI.
