Slit on BOTH sides
I was uncomfortable with the slit being on both sides and it was kind of a long slit, so I opted not to wear it for fear of exposing too much. The fabric is soft and the shade of black is nice, though.

Fits great and feels comfy against the skin. I pinned the top together a bit to wear comfortably at work. The belt needed a slight pressing to ensure it didn't fold up on itself. I'd probably rent it again.

I wore it with the matching skirt. Loved it! I would rent again to eear with black pants. It's not as cropped as other reviewers made me think it would be. At least with the skirt I hadn't gaping issues at all.

Pop off, girl!
It's been mentioned before, but the buttons WILL NOT stay closed. I sized up to ensure it wouldn't be pulling across the body and it still won't stay buttoned. It's also a very heavy fabric. Beautiful color, though. I was too scared to leave the house afraid it would pop open all day long. Not the vibe I was going for. I don't need my clothes to stress me out!

Super tight waist - as in, won't close
This was way, way too small in the waist. I couldn't button it, but it fit everywhere else. It's also very sheer. VERY. You will have to wear a slip or shapewear. I love the silhouette and the colors, but didn't wear it because of the poor fit.

Good fit, lots of ability to tighten it at the waist. I am updating my review because after putting it on a third time, I think I like it. My husband even complimented me. The only real complaint is the sleeves are so long, even when you turn up the cuffs (I only realized they were MEANT to be cuffed after putting it on 3 times). I pushed the cuffed sleeves up to the elbows a bit and unbuttoned the top button to give it a little more casual vibe. I did find myself fussing with the top a lot during the day because when I tied it tight enough the buttons were way off at the bottom, near the waist. There wasn't really a risk of a peekaboo sitch, but it needed tucking now and again. I might have been better a size down. If you have a smaller waist and are okay with a closer fit on the body, don't size up like I did. Get your regular size.

very long
I'm almost 5'7 but this nearly hit the floor on me. It fit well, but I ended up not wearing it. It felt too loud, even with a neutral top. It also hangs a little weird - one side has a flap on the edge and it's longer on one side than the other. I don't know if it's been mentioned but it has pockets. Plenty of wrap around to avoid it blowing open.

Maybe I'd rent for a vacation look
I thought I might be able to pull this off at work, but even for me it's a little loud. I love a bright, colorful, printed look more than most, but even I couldn't have done this at my photo studio. I might rent to take on a beach vacation. I really liked the material and the looseness of the fit, though it does have a fitted waist. The sleeves are very long. There are two buttons on the top that are just for show (no button holes on the other side). Ok, but it means it is a pretty low cut. Maybe as a beach cover up or to go from beach to dinner?

A little short for me
I thought the waist was a but high and that it could use some more definition in the waist. It was also too short. Even with flats it was at least an inch above my ankle, and I wanted to wear heels. The embroidery is beautiful and the underlayment is comfy, it just didn't have the right length for me, and I'm only 5'6". I didn't find it too uncomfortable in the arms or chest like some reviewers did.

Not so boring office dress
It's a black and white polyester wrap dress, but with enough details to garner me a few "that's a cute dress" comments from coworkers when I wore it to the office. I dint have any trouble with the fit in the chest. It's as low as I'd go for work, but I didn't need to pin anything and I felt securely covered. Plenty of fabric around the bottom that even a few gusts of wind didn't expose me on the bottom either. It did require a little pressing on the bottom and the belt, but didn't wrinkle much during the day.

Fun. Comfy. Cool. All the vibes.
This is a top rental for me. If you like being noticed and complimented, rent this! It's light, comfy, has pockets, fits great and the print and colors are interesting, feminine and fun. I had no trouble keeping the top closed and shoulders up all day and didn't need to pin it closed. The high zipper in the back keeps the top in place perfectly. It does wrinkle in the seat when you sit in it and I did need to press it before wearing, but it's so worth it. I wore with gold flat sandals, a gold bangle and hoops and I felt amazing. I wore it twice in 2 weeks and I'd rent it again next year if it's still around. THIS is why I joined RTR!

Stand out!
This looks heavy and structured/stuff but it's not. It's very light and cool, a cotton that I wore comfortably on an August day to work and a networking event. It has pockets and an interesting texture. I couldn't quite wear it out if the bag, but quickly pressed the hem and belt which were wrinkly from transit. But it doesn't wrinkle during the day. I'd give it a five but it was a little tight around the bottom of the ribcage. I got compliments from strangers at an event. My daughter said it looked like a dress I'd buy, and it does, but luckily with RTR, I don't have to.

Be the cool girl @ the office
I wore this with white sneakers and gold hoops and felt like the cool girl at the office all day. The first person (a stranger) I saw that day complimented me as did the last person I saw. It's comfy, has pockets, fun print. I'd give it a five but I wish the waist was 1-2 inches lower. It's above the natural waist. It's not too high, there's plenty of room below the bust, but I think it would have fit better around the middle. It was slightly squeezing my ribcage all day. No worried about the buttons gaping though. Love the length. I did have to press it, especially the belt. I think it looks a little wrinkly in some others' photos but it's just the print. You can tell in person that it's not actually wrinkled. Another Busayo Coll. dress I tried with this same print was way too much, but this was one of my faves.

SHEER PERFECTION
This dress is airy and light. So comfortable to wear. Great for anyone who wants to wear a normal bra and/or who doesn't want to show off their upper arms too much but still wants something breezy. The slits in the sleeves show just enough so that you don't feel too covered. The floral print is moody and elegant wirh just the right amount of sparkle. If you want to feel like a princess, rent this dress! I wore it to a fall wedding and got compliments galore!

Very pretty and comfortable
I didn't wear it only because I rented another dress I liked more but it was cute. I liked the ability to wear a normal bra and the wrap made it easy to cinch the waist and top and get a perfect fit. I'd rent it again for another event. Great length on me at 5'6" with 3" heels. Doesn't wrinkle easily so it would be great to travel with.

Cute enough
You'll need to plan on a strapless or at least a halter bra because there is a lot showing from the sides. The sleeves aren't cap sleeves, they're very short and didn't even come to the edge of my shoulder. So it was a little strange looking straight on from the front (and probably the back). It's also very voluminous and long, so if you plan to tuck it and are worried about adding bulk, beware. Otherwise it's a fine blouse for the office in the summer. Not very special, but I enjoyed having a different silhouette than a button down blouse or tshirt for a day.

Lighter than it looks
Much lighter than it looks and pretty comfy. The skirt is pretty, too. Like the pockets. I didn't wear it because it's a strange length. Just like in the model's pic, it hits above the ankle. I'm 5'6" and need heels - this won't work for me length wise. Just way too short for my taste. And because the waist is natural/high and straight across, it really looks odd without hitting the floor. I didn't wear it.

It looks exactly like in the photo, so I should have known it was going to bore me. I don't know why I thought it would look better in person. If you like this silhouette, you'll probably like it. It was a little snug around the middle and had no stretch. Really such a basic dress. Not worth a rental IMO. I didn't end up wearing it.

The other version of this dress is much cuter.
The blue Phillip Lim dress with the sweatshirt top was one of my favorite RTR items ever. This is not that. There is a strange pleating on the sleeves that looks messy. I was going to iron them out thinking they were surely wrinkles, but no, they are basically sewn-in wrinkles. That and the cut neckline give this a sloppy vibe. Beware also that you can see through this dress on the bottom, so unless you want to wear a half slip, people WILL see what you are wearing underneath. The mix of textures on the dress and attached top and the weird "belt" just gave the whole thing a feeling of "fashion student project gone wrong." I wanted to love it - but I didn't wear it out of the house.

The idea of it is better than the actual dress
The print makes it look expensive and chic, but even with the waist tied it felt shapeless. It's the kind of dress you want your picture taken in, but don't actually want to wear out. It's impractical if you plan to use your arms to eat, drink, or dance (or really do anything other than hold your arms at your sides - maybe you could wear it to a gallery or museum?). Anytime you lift your hands above your waist, the sleeves just fall to your elbows and it ruins the line. It ends up looking like a beach cover up. Also, I felt unsure that there wouldn't be gaps in the buttons that would expose my undergarments. The buttons are spaced widely and there is very little placket underneath them. It seems like the two sides just barely overlap in the center. I wasn't willing to risk it. In the end it's just a pretty piece of fabric. I didn't wear it out of the house.

My 88 year old mother in law complimented this dress that I wore to a bridal shower. It was comfortable and I love the silhouette, fabric, details (pockets, ties), but all day I was worried I looked like I should have been teaching Sunday School (or going to Sunday School). The print is cute, and it's similar to one on a pair of Adam Lippes pants I really liked, but I think it works when it's just the pants and you can style it to look a little more "cool". Maybe it's also the pale pink color? Something more bold, dark or moody might have given it at least some "edge."

It's giving...Encanto
If you are wondering if you can pull off this dress, you probably already know the answer to that question. Three people told me it wasn't for me but I went ahead and ordered it anyway. The only was this was going to work is if I had also ordered a personality transplant because I am just not THAT GIRL. You have to want to be the center of attention and love bright colors, bold patterns and ruffles to wear this. I couldn't do it. (It also slightly gives me little girl vibes.) I love a colorful, patterned dress but this is just TOO MUCH. Also the yellow layer doesn't seem to go with the other colors in the dress - or is it just me? I don't love yellow, so it could be. Finally, know that you WILL have to steam and iron this to make it look good. It wrinkles easily. Obviously I didn't wear it out of the house. If you get this, you are definitely an inspiration to me and I hope you love it! I

Nice color and fabric. I sized up and thank goodness because it was still a little tight. It's also shorter in overall length than you'd think it would be. The collar and belt are very wide. I liked the belt but the collar seemed too thick and large no matter how I tucked it. It gaps a little in the arms, showing some brastrap.

I received compliments on this top and I liked the blousy, somewhat baggy effect with slim cropped black pants. It's ok if you are wearing in summer in an office with AC but it doesn't breathe well if you need to be outside or riding the subway. Note that the print is a little heart shaped more than just leopard shaped spots so if you don't do hearts... and it's a fairly beige tone.

I don't know what I expected but even the asymmetry and the silhouette couldn't bring life to this piece. The fabric and color were just blah and no amount of jewelry or shoes made it feel worth wearing out of the house. This print and silhouette was great but I couldn't even get them buttoned. There was a 2 inch gap and I sized up. I don't think 3 sizes up would have fit in the waist. My daughter wore them and they looked adorable. I was pretty mad about the fit on me though.

A small fit
Very cute print and easy to wear, but much smaller all around than I would have expected. It hits at the high hip and is narrower through the body than most sweatshirts. The sleeves are also just to the wristbone.

this is a nice quality jacket, but this looked like a had a lighter weight drape in the photos. It's very stiff and a heavy herringbone, slightly rough feeling fabric. It was overall much too heavy for a spring jacket. I didn't wear it out of the house.

pretty colors. a little scratchy

I wouldn't wear this with a black skirt or pants because the color is dark black, but the kind of black that next to an inky, jet black makes you think it might be a very dark navy. Otherwise it has a nice easy drape and a comfy softness.
