Th this dress is comfortable although hard to put on. It is a nice mix between casual and dressy. I feel like you could wear this to a nice brunch or a daytime party.

This is a great way to blend casual and dressy. The skirt looks like a reconstructed button-down dress shirt, and the construction lends a bit of formality to what is otherwise a short-sleeved sweatshirt. Fits it at work, at brunch, out shopping, and lounging. True-to-size/oversized fit. Choose size based on bust/shoulders. 

Looks a lil weird on the site, but is amazingly comfortable and was a huge hit for a conference where I was a presenter. The ONLY drawback is that it doesn't have pockets! I felt comfortable in the L - and have lost some weight so went back for the M a couple weeks later. :) I wish I could afford to keep this one!

I love anything 3.1 Phillip Lim. You can’t find a more comfortable dress. The mix of the sweat shirt top and the cotton poplin bottom is the best. I highly recommend for an everyday outfit. You can wear with sneakers or sandals. Recommend. 

Wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the sweatshirt on top / button up on back but was the perfect rental. 

I ended up keeping this for a little longer.  Very comfortable.  

This dress couldn’t be easier to wear. I loved the skirt but the sweatshirt crewneck and waistband left something to be desired.

It's a lovely dress to wear for everyday. I don't recommend it for summer though as the material is thick. But it's soft and very easy to manage. The size I ordered was a bit too big on me so size down a bit for when you order.

The perfect easy throw on casual office dress. One piece. Fun button detail that you can unbutton to add a slit. Good length to wear with sneakers or a heel. The asymmetrical hem is fun and eye catching. Terry top layer makes it super casual yet chic!

Super casual, very comfy little dress. Wore it to brunch with some Cons and really liked the relaxed look. Honestly, if it just had pockets, I would consider purchasing. 

Tried two of this newer trend and liked this one better. It had a better shape with the cinched bottom, and nice interest with the stripes and buttons. Only thing missing was pockets!

Very casual. Wore for school drop of and moms coffee date. Little warm for the weather yet.  Felt wide through my top like a sweater and would like a more fitted look.

Wanted to love this dress but just didn’t find it super flattering.  Maybe better if you’re taller.  It is a fun and unique dress though! 

Overall I liked this dress and got a lot of compliments when I wore it to dinner with my girlfriends. It fit well and the fabric felt high quality. The only small complaint I have is that the top is a sweatshirt material and it felt a bit thick/bunchy at times. But I loved the asymmetry of the cut and the buttons!

It’s an interesting take on a dress and very appreciated. Something to note is the sweatshirt material above the front band didn’t poof evenly. So I felt I had to keep tugging it down so it looked more even.
I would rent again.

This seems like nothing special, but its great quality, doesn’t really wrinkle, and comfortable to wear! I rented in the spring but i could also see pairing this with tall boots in the fall. Worthy of renting again!

I liked the feeling of this dress. It was really cute. Maybe not the most flattering for big busted but I enjoyed wearing it. 

Loved this! Bought this! Petite friendly and really great for early fall. Top is a little boxy but nice waistline in this easy-to-wear dress. 

I liked the dress a lot. It’s different and very cute. Unfortunately I decided to wear this on a hot day in June and almost melted! Recommend for a 70 degree day. 

I loved this different, one of a kind style! The slanted buttons down the front, the cropped sweatshirt look, the stripes! I just really loved everything about it and felt great in it! Dressed it up with some heels but can also dress down. The sweatshirt material gets warm in hot weather but other than that it is very comfortable. Wore to a religious event but can and would wear anywhere! 

This is the second 3.1 Phillip Lim sweatshirt dress I've tried from RTR. The first time I went with a L (unsure why, maybe it was the recommended size?) and it was too oversized. I went with a M on this style and it was a much better fit -- still a little oversized but in a comfy, easy to wear, casual way. I will say, these dresses have people coming up and saying, "What an unusual outfit -- is that two pieces? or...?" So it's clearly interesting and eye catching, but unsure if it's the most flattering look. It doesn't get a lot of compliments, but does get a lot of questions. :) It is cute and easy to style, I like it with sneakers for casual errands, etc. A great example of a dress that is fun to rent but doesn't really need to be an "own" in my closet!

I wire the white, grey version a rental ago and really loved how it flowed. This one was a bit lord rigid. I still like it and it was perfect for lunch with friends, but it wasn’t as comfy as the other one. And no pockets. Boo. 

Definitely gonna buy this. Tried it on at the pop up and couldn't wait for the weather to cool down a bit to rent. It has a great swing to it. It's so fun and flirty and the material is comfortable. Cute details make it interesting to look at.

I really wanted this dress to work, but I just found it frumpy. It’s baggy and not flattering. It wasn’t terrible enough to NOT wear, but it wasn’t a hit for me.
