The pattern on this dress is so pretty. And it's a flattering cut... if you have a smallish bust and zero ills or wobbly bits to hide. I rented it for my bridal shower and almost had to run out and get Spanx - it does leave you feeling a bit "naked" and is def low cut. My biggest issue with it was that - in the size 8 that I wore - the bust was almost an A cup. I'm a 36B but I had too much bust for the tiny cup provided, so it was bulging out below which was not cute.

Wore this to a wedding. Got a 6 and an 8. I had gained maybe 8 lbs this winter so the 8 was better, but the zipper still did this weird buckling thing over my bum. Dress wasn't super forgiving - if you have anything but a washboard it'll look like a pooch in this thing. It's also almost tea length which I don't think is flattering on anyone. Didn't get one compliment (and normally when I RTR I get them all night). Not my fave ever - I would def keep looking.

This dress was so unique and beautiful. It is definitely heavier than it looks bc of all the pleated fabric. I had been DYING to rent this for YEARS. Literally years. But for $200, I wanted a really special occasion for it. I wore it to our friend's wedding and omg.... as soon as I put it on I didn't think there was any way I could wear it. The bodice fits beautifully as all Herve dresses do - and it sucks in all the wobbly bits and makes you look like a rock star - BUT THE STRAPS ARE SO LONG I had to have it pinned and Jerry rigged to even be able to wear it. I'm 5'9" so I had read in previous reviews not to wear it if you're shorter, but I thought I would be fine. Unless you're maybe 6'3", these straps are not going to be your friends. RTR needs to either have all these straps altered or seriously discount this rental.

SIZE UP, unless you are smaller on bottom than on top. I'm pretty proportional but another girlfriend of mine who wore this warned me about the same thing - fits totally normal on top for your size, but smaller in the hips. I rented this for my boyfriend's birthday party. I questioned the pantsuit thing but wanted to try it. It was INSANELY comfortable, so flattering, and so unique and cool. I got the S and the M, and ended up going with the small b/c the M was a smidge baggy in the waist, and a little more snug across the shoulders. Otherwise the length is SHORT regardless. So get ready to show some leg. Love the exposed black zipper in the back, love ALLLLL the compliments I got, and love how flattering this was. The only thing I'll say is that the sequins do tend to get caught on peoples' hair when you hug them, peoples' buttons and clothing, etc. So you could possibly snag someone. Fit is not super flattering. But, it's a shift dress, so that's to be expected... I have seen some girls in the pics belt it, so you can go that route.. The dress just didn't do much for me personally. I'm a pretty standard size 6... 5'8", 145-150lb / athletic, 36B (like a straight-up-and-down Gwyneth Paltrow figure, but obvi not as skinny as her... more normal.) The 8 was way too big, and the 6 was a better fit, but the inner lining of the neckline was visible / turning up a little, and it was too baggy in the stomach and too tight in the hips. It is ALSO a little different in person - the pic makes it look pearly and shiny - it is actually a nude/blush color in person. This dress DEFINITELY would look better/best with a tan. And a great pair of legs helps too, so if yours are super in shape, this would be a good one to show 'em off in. Also, and it pains me to say this because I love RTR, but this dress definitely doesn't look nearly as expensive in person as it does online. But, they are so so so great customer service wise and there are a million great dresses on here so hoping for better luck next time!
