The fit is snug! It was not an uncomfortable snug. A 10 my have been less snug, but I think the cutouts would have been loose with a 10. The cutouts are tastefully sexy! The slit in the back is a nice addition. Warm enough to wear without a jacket (except the cutout area may get a little wind). Love love love this dress!

I'm usually a 2-4 on top and a 4-6 on bottom. I was lucky that the 4 fit perfectly- plenty of stretch if you need it. I felt the cutouts were a fun way to keep it classy yet exciting. I realize that I did have to keep pulling the dress down as I walked, and you can't take big steps in the sheath. Overall, I really enjoyed wearing this!

Stretchy and comfy...but falling apart literally at the seams. 

Ran smaller then expected even though reviews said it runs small. Wore it with a strapless bra. Super comfortable. I loved the dress,  so many compliments.

This dress fit like a glove and was comfortable. I could even wear a strapless bra with it. The texture of the fabric (it's subtle raised dots/dimples) paired with the slits make it very unique. Good to show off your curves. The fabric is thick so it's better for cooler weather.

So flattering, hugs in all the right places, and is appropriate / demure with a little rawr with the cut outs.  Material is heavier/warmer so I was glad I wore this in January (to a Hall of Fame banquet).  I would totally rent this again.

Fits true-to-size, possibly a little snug.  Length is perfect for tall girls.  I am 5'9".  I was able to wear a bra and Spanx, but wouldn't have needed to; material is thick and flattering.  Perfect for an outdoor Fall wedding.  Color is deep navy blue, it's beautiful.

I rented this dress for a summer vineyard wedding, loved this dress it was so famine and pretty. Just be sure to wear in a cool environment.

Beautiful textured navy dress. Strapless bra. This dress shows everything so be prepared for that. It may be too long for shorter ladies. I'm 5'9" and it was the perfect length. Many compliments. This brand runs small so size up at least 1 size!

This dress fit great. My friends loved it so much that they recommended I buy it. I usually wear a size 6 and the 6 fit perfectly. If you are between sizes I recommend sizing up. The length of this dress made it classy while the snug fit that shows every curve and the cut outs made it sexy. I definitely recommend this dress. It was great for a night out with friends for a nice dinner and  a show on a cold night.

Another dress that did not dissapoint! I loved the way this hugged what little curves I have and the length was so classy. It does have a bit of stretch to it which made it so comfortable and the fabric is thick enough so i didnt have to wear a bra. I was also much smaller in the bust when I wore it.  I wore a 0, Im 5'6" and 120 lbs. 

Got size larger per other reviews. Ended up fitting like a glove. Nice thick fabric that hides any imperfections and love the slits in the right places! It hugs the curves well. Great dress for colder weather. Would rent again!

This dress was fantastic. It is a very sexy dress for something with so much fabric (long sleeves and below the knee). It is form fitting but because of the heavy and textured fabric, I felt great even on a not so perfect body day. It is a perfect blend of sexy and classy. So much so that both my fiancé's grandmother said it was a stunning dress and my fiancé was stunned. I will definitely rent this dress again. 

This dress was so amazing, I instantly went online to try and buy it. Sold out everywhere, AND FOR GOOD REASON! It is one of my most favorite dresses rented to date. Fit and stretch made it so comfortable and the cut outs make it sexy while staying work appropriate. 

Snug but flattering. I am normally a size 4 but just had a baby 8 weeks ago and glad I upsized significantly. All the reviews are accurate that this dress runs extremely small. I wore an 8 to be comfortable since I'm a nursing mom. It fit everywhere but will say it's snug in the hip area. Beautiful color. Please note the material is on the thicker side and glad the wedding was indoors or I would have melted away!

The fit was perfect for a petite although the length was slightly longer. I received a ton of compliments and had a blast wearing it!

Conservative with a little flair meaning the cutouts. Thick fabric so wouldn't be comfortable outside. Very comfortable wear, got lots of compliments! True to size

I have rented several E&J dresses before, and I have sized up 2 sizes. This dress has more stretch and I only needed to size up 1 (normal size is 4, I wore a 6). I LOVED this dress. It was a perfect mix of trendy/elegant/sexy. The picture is a close up of the fabric, which I think is the most underrated part of the dress. It is thicker, so I wouldn't recommend this dress for warmer months.

I love Elizabeth and James! Every dress I rent from this designer makes me feel amazing. This dress was perfect for a November wedding! I'm 5'11 and the length was perfect with a pair of heels! I would definitely rent this dress again! 

Great body hugging. Sexy but long so not inappropriate. Great for a taller person. Really loved this one. 

I love this dress. The fabric was thick so no bra needed. Fancy enough for a black tie. But, this dress runs SMALL. normally I'm a 0 or 2. I wore the 2 but I wish I had the size 4. I would have been more comfortable. Also the cut out on the ribs is a bit tight. I was a little bit conscious of any possible bulging throughout the night. Perhaps if I had the 4 this wouldn't have been an issue. 

Elizabeth & James is my new favorite!  Their dresses fit perfectly!  They are snug and run small but the fabric is thick and hides flaws!  This was a gorgeous blue and the cutouts were perfectly places on my frame.  I definitely could see this a permanent item in my closet!

Wore this dress to a formal wedding.  I usually wear sizes 0 or 2, however could have even fit into the 4 for this dress.  My chest is smaller than most, so I chose the size 2 so it wouldn't look baggy up top.  Would not recommend wearing a bra with straps, as the straps will definitely show.  My original size 2 have several holes in the side, so I would recommend double checking (esp because the dress is tight and may have been stretched out from repeated rentals.  Loved the cutouts...made the dress look edgy and flattering in areas that aren't too revealing.  Fabric felt very luxurious and was able to hold everything in.  Would definitely rent another Elizabeth and James dress from RTR!  

Sexy fun dress! So many compliments!! Dress had a small hole where the zipper connected to the dress but a local seamstress fixed it quickly. 

This dress was beautiful and super flattering. I received so many compliments all night. It was comfortable, but a nice, thicker fabric to keep everything in place. I rented the 6,8 and both would have worked, but I was slightly more comfortable in the 8. Other reviews were correct that the dress has some give, except for the waist. Overall, love and would rent again! 

I wore this to a nice dinner with my husband.  I got several compliments on it from people at the restaurant.  It's an unusual cut with the "windows".  I was a little afraid the lower cut out would show something akin to a waist skin/fat fold but it didn't.  Fits true to size.  It's longer than I realized but it ended up ok with heels.  I was able to wear my strapless bra ok, but it did make my chest look huge in the upper cutout by doing so.  Oh well!   

This dress fits like a dream. Glad I had the 6 as a backup, as this fit better. The back slit was a bit high - I had to make sure to pull down my dress as I walked and danced. Got a ton of compliments. Would definitely rent again.

This dress was absolutely amazing. I loved the snug fight and the cut outs were just the right amount. The sleeves and the length were perfect for a winter night out. 

Stretchy material but definitely runs small.  I am usually a 0-2 size and this was pretty tight.  

I loved this dress! Unfortunately, it had a stain that I didn't notice until after I took it off and noticed that my bra was discolored with a oil type liquid that did not wash off. You couldn't see it with the naked eye, but my bra is ruined :( 

If you're in between sizes (like me), order your size up. I'm usually a 4, but I wore the 6 ant it was snug! I'm 5'7, 125 lbs, small chested, straight/narrow figure.

You have to get the fit right for this dress and I recommend using fashion tape. I normally wear a 6 but ordered an 8 and 10 due to other reviews saying it runs small. The 10 was huge in the top which made the cutouts gape. The 8 was snug but perfect. The dress is fairly stretchy except in the waist which is unforgiving. I wore a strapless bra and used a lot of fashion tape to keep it from showing and to keep the cutouts from being too large.  I do not see a way to wear spanx wth this due to cutout at waist. The fabric is thick and warm. The color is a muted navy very true to the picture and the texture adds interest. I wish more dresses were available in this length I loved that is fell below the knee. I felt fabulous wearing it and got tons of compliments. I would rent this again if I had another appropriate venue for it. 

It was snug, but I loved the fit. I could not wear a bra with the dress because I am a 34DD.  It does rise so I had to me mindful of pulling and adjusting so that I could continue to look amazing. 

got compliments all night long! I don't have many curves but this dress hugged in all the right places and made me feel great. I would definitely rent it again. 
The cut outs are balanced with the longer sleeves and longer hemline. Wore with moderate heels which worked for a tall girl, with this hemline I would suggest 3" or high heels for someone a bit shorter. 

I'm usually a 4 and had to size up. You do not want skin spilling out of the slits! It is sexy yet classy with the midi length.... I'm short so it's midi to me. Hugs in all the right places and thick enough that you don't need a bra. Loved it! 

The pros include warm enough for an outdoor wedding, hugs every curve, and enough space to still dance the night away! Cons include the dress bulges up in the stomach area so be mindful when taking photos. 

Very form fitting with a little stretch. Fit me like a glove! Thick material so not for summer days. Also, had to have my niece zip me up in it. But great dress. 

Loved this dress would definitely rent again. I usually wear a size 4 but I ordered a size 6 and I still found it to run small. The material is thick so it's definitely great for cooler weather. 

The fit and length were great, I loved that it was below the knee. The thick, textured material was beautiful, I felt sucked in but could still breathe, no need for spanx. I was a bit self conscious of the side cut out, which I felt created a "fat roll" that I wouldnt otherwise have. I found myself adjusting it a bit to cover up more. 

A little long for my liking but the material and fit were great - I usually wear a 2 from designers but a size 4 was perfecto- any smaller would be too tight for my athletic upper body - but the material has some stretch and the cut outs are modest yet sexy -would be perfect if the dress was shorter or I was taller 

Fabric is thick and helps hold everything in, but it runs small for sure. A little longer than I normally wear, but the cutouts were a nice detail. 

The dress runs small.  I am usually a size 8 and I got the back up a size 10.  The 10 fit perfect. The dress has give to it so it's very comfortable.  It's a beautiful dress you won't be disappointed.  I loved it!  

I wore this dress on a date with the husband.  This dress, as do most Elizabeth and James dresses, runs small.  I usually wear a 4.  Based on the reviews I ordered a size up, and am glad I did.  This dress fit perfectly.  Sightless stretchy fabric.  I felt very tucked in.   Did not wear a bra.  I am usually hesitant to rent items with sleeves as I have larger shoulders, but this was perfect with the stretch.  I rented this on my unlimited account. And would have kept it longer had it not been for the 2 rips in the seam of one of the sleeves. I used fashion tape which worked ok, but had to keep an eye on it throughout the night.  Despite the wear and tear, I absolutely loved this dress:)

Little long on me but I am 5 ft didn't love where cut outs fell but overall nice dress.
