I am always an 8 and rented an 8 because the 10 wasn't available (even though other reviews mentioned to size up). That was a mistake. In addition, even though it didn't fit, the zipper that runs ALL THE WAY down the back seemed unprofessional to me. It seems like it would be so easy for someone to accidentally become naked very quickly.

Great dress
Super comfortable. I'm usually an 8 and the medium fit well but I could have even sized down possibly. There are the weird tie things on both sides of the waist, and it's a tiny bit low cut for work. But otherwise beautiful and comfy - got lots of compliments!

Hip proportions important
I'm usually an 8 in dresses, but I ordered the 10 per reviews. I have kind of narrow hips and this was about 6" wider than me around the hips, but the top was almost tight. Not flattering at all.

Big and shapeless
This is not chic by any definition. I'm usually a medium or large (8-10) and this medium was about 12" too long in the sleeves and the bottom was all stretched out and shapeless.

Unflattering and not modern
The reviews on this dress are fantastic so I thought it would be a great choice. Unfortunately the ruching on the stomach made me look pregnant, and the pattern/cut just felt like something my mother would wear.

I don't know if the dress I received was defective or something but the pleated back made it look like dolman sleeves gone wrong, or like it was also a wing suit for jumping out of an airplane. Didn't wear.

Too weird
I saw the reviews saying this dress was made for a funeral, or for little house on the prairie, but I thought "eh it looks cute I'll give it a try." It's just strange. The puffed sleeves are hard to see in the pictures, and the skirt is way too full. It's just a LOT of look. As far as sizing (really? You still want to try after that?) I am usually a 6-8, 5'5" 150lbs and the SR fit well.
