This dress is amazing. I rented it for a baptism and it was perfect for the occasion. It is thicker material which made it great for an early spring day in New England. It would also be a great dress for work. Will definitely rent this dress again!  

Ordered a 6-was a bit small in the chest area-wouldn't zip all the way. Still wanted to wear it-so put a blazer over and boom-problem solved! If you have boobs-like any at all-order a size up. Loved the fit even half zipped though-and loved the pockets. 

True to size, I wore a 6. Not too short, loved the texture. Shows a little cleavage but conservative with the top button. My favorite part about this dress...of course the pockets!

I LOVED the fabric which is thick and comfortable! The cut for me was so well  done I felt like I was wearing a tailored dress. I am a 34A and the little cut out laid perfectly, you could not see any cleavage. It was classy. If my boobs were any bigger though, I don't think it would have worked as well. There is no give in the fabric but the waist was a perfect fit so I didn't mind. And yay pockets! I wore this to work so it meant my phone had a perfect place to be. The ONLY downside for me was the length. I am a pretty conservative person at a conservative company and it was too short for my liking. I felt self conscious especially when I sat down. Pairing it with a navy blue jacket gave it a more professional feel despite the short length. The colors are perfect for my complexion. I would own this dress and rent again in spring and summer!

I wore this to a birthday brunch in Feb.  The material is heavier, so perfect for a California "winter". I loved the pockets!! I was definitley between the 6 and 8 and chose to wear the 6 as it made my waist look small. Very comfortable

I received a lot of compliments on this dress. It runs a bit small in the rib cage area so I went with a size 2. For reference I am 5'0 and between 100-105lbs. It is very classy and comfortable. The material is a tweed so it is a thicker material than what appears in pictures. The size 0 seemed a bit more faded than the 2 but it was still nice. I loved it!

This dress was great. The colors are better in person and being short the length was perfect. The 8 was a little bit tight in the bust so I would size up to a 10 next time. Pockets!

Pretty versatile and could be worn on a night out as well. Great fit. It is quite short if you are tall so be aware if you do wear it for work. It has cool pockets which I love! Will rent again!

I wore this to my cousin's baby shower (excuse the boots-this was pre-party leg warm up!). It is snug, the fabric isn't stretchy, and true to size, so if you're in between sizes definitely size up. Length was great, even for being 5'4. Zipper, of course, was an issue.. loved the pockets! One of my favorite dresses!

one of the only RTR dresses I've actually ordered twice! super cute for work with a navy blazer and nude heels. I always get compliments. 

I really liked the pattern, but the fit was a little small in the chest. Not to the point I had to size up, but enough to probably prevent me from renting again. 

The dress was beautiful and I received several compliments!  I loved the thick material and pockets.  In terms of fit, I had to size up.  The bust was smaller and the dress was shorter than I expected.  For my event, the larger size was more appropriate.  Overall, I would rent this dress again (in a different color, of course)!

I am between a 2 and 4 but went with the 4 for a little more dancing room :) I had so many complements on this dress! It's a little tight in the bust. I did not button it in front creating a bit of a V-neck.

Wore this for a charity event with dinner and dancing. The fit was perfect and the pockets held my phone and lip gloss so I could leave my cluch at home. Very comfortable! I added a black leather jacket and loved the look! 

I rented this for my sons baptism and it was perfect. A classy, timeless DVF dress. I wore a little black blazer on top during the mass of church and it looked great. It's a heavier material dress, so it was perfect for a cool October day. Highly recommend!

The reviews of this dress were spot on.  Allow me to summarize what I found to be true from other reviews:
1) Dress smells funky out of the bag. The smell will disappear with a little air and breathing time.
2) The material is very thick, it is a woven type material...almost like a tweed
3) Some of the dark dots do seems to show some signs of "wear" as evidence by threads in them looking a bit gray.  However, this may be because of the fabric type itself.  It is not noticeable from any reasonable distance.
4) The dress is tight around the rib cage
I rented this dress for a professional awards ceremony and it was a perfect pick.  I am usually a size 2 in J Crew dresses, but went with a size 4 because of the rib cage.  I consider myself to have a wider rib cage compared to my frame.  The dress was snug around the rib cage.  I likely could have made the size 2 work as I had extra room around my hips and bust, but it may have felt constricting.  On my height, the dress is conservative in length and I also like that it has full back and chest coverage which keeps it professional.  Despite the longer length on me, be aware that the dress felt quite short when sitting. Overall, the dress hung beautifully and definitely would camouflage any problem spots.  I paired the dress with nude heels and gold jewelry. 

I actually thought the fabric was silky and light from the picture but it's fairly thick and heavy. While it wasn't ideal for a summer wedding, it was good quality and I was able to not wear a bra because of it (which I can rarely do with a full chest). The dress had pockets too which was great. The fit was true to size.

Fit was great nice heavy fabric. Didn't end up wearing it only because the other dress was a better choice but loved it nevertheless!

I wore this to a high school reunion and it was perfect for the event. As others have noted it is a thick fabric and runs small so I sized up. I love the pattern, the shape, and pockets. The only 2 issues were that it looks faded, the black dots are almost gray... And it stunk from the dry cleaning. Those were the only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars 

Wore this for a night out with the girls. Felt classy in this dress.  The fabric was thick and pockets were a great touch. 

I am 2 months post-partum and I thought this dress was very flattering. Does not accentuate "problem areas." The pattern is a pretty light blue, pink and black so almost any shoe and jewelry combination would work. I think this dress would work well in a professional setting but I also felt pretty at a party.

This dress has a cute shape but is modest too. The material is thick and had no give. So if you are between sizes, go a size up. And it has pockets!

I loved this dress, and it was perfect for the event - a semi-formal party in a large event venue. The fabric is thick, and this worked to my advantage as I'm often cold in venues like this. It kept me warm enough that I could go sleeveless without needing a sweater. It's very slimming and was not at all tight across the chest, which is a problem I have with a lot of other dresses. I would definitely rent this again!

I rented this dress as part of my unlimited subscription to change up my winter work wardrobe.  I absolutely adored the dot pattern and the high quality fabric.  It is nice and thick and great for cold weather.   The fit was perfect!  The zipper stuck a little bit and was a pinch hard to zip all the way on my own, but I managed with some maneuvering and twisting about.   I got quite a few compliments at work.   Looked great with tights and booties.

I had to wear my size up because the eight was a bit tight across the chest.  Wearing the 10 did make the skirt a bit fuller but it was very comfortable and looked great.  I loved the pockets...

Worn for a summer bridal shower, fit was amazing and definitely hides midsection imperfections. Didn't take any full body pics (sorry) but the pockets add a nice touch and the cut is very flattering. Thick fabric so might be a bit warm but overall an amazing dress. 

I wanted a modest but fun dress for a work event, and this dress delivered! The quality fabric and construction felt special and professional. I added a blazer to cover my arms. Loved it!

I'm generally somewhere between an 8 and 10 so I ordered both but the 10 just barely fit in the ribs. It was perfect through my bust and hips.  I loved the fit though!  the slight flare was perfect.  I'm short, so the length worked for me but any shorter and I think it would have been too short for the charity event I wore it to.

This dress is made from thick material. I didn't mind because I tend to get cold easily. The zipper was a little bit of a problem. I almost broke a sweat trying to zip it up. Beware of zipper! It was perfect for work and once again I'm satisfied.

As an FYI, this was my first RTR and I have some mixed feelings about it. First off, I loved this dress. This was an awesome dress for a fall wedding! Fit perfectly and very true to size. I wasn't able to get a free 2nd size so I was glad this one worked out. The cut and color (dark blue, nude pink and lighter blue pattern) was great and loved the secret pockets! Normally with a pocketed dress it adds weight but these didn't at all. The fabric was also very think and laid wonderfully. 

The reason I did not give it the full 5 stars was because I was disappointed in the fact that I had no back up (and since this was my first RTR, I would have liked to be a little more protected) and...the state of the dress. The fabric was pilled and looked as though in a few areas had pulls, but I am not sure. You could, most definitely tell that it has been worn ALOT though. The other reviewers stated that it was made of a thick material and they are very correct. I was able to wear it and not feel like like the polling was too noticeable. But I was kind of sad that my first designer dress to rent was not as I expected and seemed like it may have been on its last leg on the rent scene. But I guess that's how all of these dresses work.

I was very lucky that the size I picked worked because there was no backup and that the wear didn't show up too much. I hope going forward to have a few more fail-safe options in place so in case the dress is in real bad shape or doesn't fit, to know I have options. All around, a semi pleasant first time. Thank you.

Cute dress but very tight through chest area and I consider myself to be on the smaller side in that area. I typically wear  size 0 and had to wear a 2 in this because it was so tight in the chest (I'm a 32c).  I recommend ordering a size up. I got lots of compliments on this dress!

This dress worked well and the low rental fee was great, however it was not my favorite dress I've gotten from RTR.  The dress looks a much different color in person than it does on the model and in pictures.  The peach dots are much more pronounced.  I almost thought I had been sent the wrong dress because it seemed so pink on the hanger.  The 6 fit great up top, but it was big on the bottom.  I would have liked to try the 4.  However, the bust would have probably been too tight and the length too short.  I'm 5'8" and even the 6 was a little short.  The extra room made it very comfortable though.

Loved this dress! I wore this to a friends bridal shower over the weekend. The material is a little bit on the heavier side so it is perfect for fall. I also loved that it had pockets! I ordered the size 6 & 8 & ended up wearing the size 6. The 8 was just a tad too loose around the waistline. 

Pro's: The dress is pretty true to size. It a dress you can dress up or down. It worked very well with my body shape. I'm a little smaller on top & more round on the bottom. It was very figure flattering.  

Con's: I loved everything about the dress - but when I received it, it had a very distinct smell. I'm not sure if RTR is using new dry cleaning. But I had to make sure to air it out before the shower on Sunday. 

The dress fit true to size. I didn't need to wear a bra... And it photographed beautifully! I received compliments all night. Similar to another review, the material was a bit heavier so it hides everything in your middle, especially if you're a bit curvier- which I am. 

I return this dress in the morning and am already bummed. My husband even offered to buy it for me because he knew how much I loved it and how comfortable I kept saying it was. I'm 5'0 and it was the perfect length - right above the knee - which was something I worried about.
