I wore this to a birthday brunch in Feb. The material is heavier, so perfect for a California "winter". I loved the pockets!! I was definitley between the 6 and 8 and chose to wear the 6 as it made my waist look small. Very comfortable

I am 5'2 and 100lbs so sometimes it can be hard to find dress short and tight enough but this one fit very well for a conservative function. I wore it to my sister's bridal shower. It is more of a cold weather dress though. The material is thick. I would recommend it for an early spring event if you are in the south. It was a little warm for May in North Carolina.

Fit true to size. Dress photographs well. Loved the color and overall look and feel of the dress. Wore it to a wedding and spent the entire day feeling comfortable. Can't go wrong with a dress by dvf :)

This dress is so smart sophisticated and the best quality. Amazing texture (thick woven fabric so great for cold weather) and I love the pattern. Endless compliments from my coworkers. I rent this for every conference I go to. I wish I could own this dress! I just ship it to my hotel and voila my outfit is ready just add tights and heels. I'm obsessed! Only Con is that it's a little snug in the top but great for small chested girls like me.

Loved it-wore it for a wedding. I'm typically a 2 or 4 in dress. Since this was more fitting I went with the 4. It was very comfortable and has pockets, which is awesome bc i love pockets. Sometimes pockets can create bulk to the dress but these do not in the slightest! Very seamless look- they are cut just right! I recommend this dress but I do not recommend wearing it during the summer, the material is quite thick, but great for early spring/fall/winter.

Wore this for my friend's spring Bridal Shower, for which I am I bridesmaid. LOVED how thick the fabric was (not too heavy, but perfect for an early-April event), and felt so comfortable with the fit and length. BONUS: the pockets help the comfort level! Received lots of compliments on this -- highly recommended!

This dress is perfect for a work event that isn't quite business or cocktail attire. The dress is incredibly flattering. I have a bit of a tummy, and a lot of hips, and you couldn't even tell while wearing this dress. It's very fitted at the chest and waist, but very comfortable as well. Because the fabric is so thick and sturdy, you don't have to wear spanx either. Highly recommend this dress. Wish I could keep it.

I went with other reviewers and went a size up for the backup since "the girls" are on the larger side and I'm glad I did. With the heavy fabric there wasn't much give in the chest. But, the 6 fit perfectly and was great for the event. It was short but not inappropriately so, just had to be a bit aware of how I sat down but that was more for personal comfort than really needing to make sure the dress was covering things. Similar to other people's comments, there was a really strong cleaner smell when the dresses came but I hung them up without the plastic and the smell faded pretty quick. This was my first rental and I can't wait for the next event and my next rental!

This dress was super comfortable. The fabric was a little heavier which was perfect for early spring night (in the 50's). The length was great and the pockets were a great touch. The fit was perfect. I would 100% rent this again. I loved it!

I wore this dress for my sister's baby shower, which I was co-hosting. As others have noted, the fabric is heavy, so it's best for cooler weather occasions. The shape of the dress is flattering, and the length was appropriate for me, given that I'm pretty short. The pockets and clasped keyhole added some nice detail to an otherwise pretty standard sheath dress. Paired nicely with black tights, booties, and blazer.

looooved this dress! the thick material was perfect for a march wedding. i'm very petite up top & this dress fit perfectly! i usually have a hard time finding a size 0 dress that ins't too large for my small frame however this was PERFECT!!! if you have a larger bust, beware the top is a little snug!

Really enjoyed this dress! I wore this to a February baptism in VA - paired with a black sweater, sheer black tights and black suede wedges - and it was perfect for the occasion. Modest, warm, and shapely while not too tight. I would definitely recommend this for a church or work event. The fabric is a woven tweed-like material so it makes it a little less formal. Great flattering shape and fit (plus the bonus of pockets!).

I rented this dress for a baby shower. I love the fit if this dress!! It was perfect for a January event. It's different for me as far as style but I could not have picked a better dress. It was very flattering and had pockets which is so nice!! the chest was a little snug. I got rave reviews, even work it to work the next day and everyone could not stop talking about it!!

I rented this for a Fall wedding in Central CA. I feel like it was perfect for the event, could definitely dress it up or down. I got numerous compliments from complete strangers. The pockets are a nice touch and are perfect for lipstick or something small like that. I felt that it was a little tight in the rib cage when I tried on the 2 & 4, but the 2's skirt was more slimming so I went with the 2. I'm glad I did because the fabric had a little give after a little bit and it was super comfortable for what ended up being a long long reception. I am 5'5'' 122lbs and felt like the 2 fit perfect. I paired it with a pair of nude heels.

Loved this dress. The 10 fit perfectly. The dress did have sort of a Windex-y odor (I'm guessing it's from the drycleaning?) but I had read other reviewers had said the same thing, so I was prepared for it. I wore this to a bridal shower so it's not like I was dancing closely with anybody! :) Strangely the size 8 I got as my backup size didn't seem to smell, so I don't know what that was about. Loved this dress, wish I could own it! It's one of those dresses that will work for a lot of events - work events, weddings, parties. Very cute and so flattering!

I wore this for my sister's rehearsal dinner. It was very comfortable and really beautiful. Definitely a dress I would want to buy. I took other people's advice and sized up. I was nervous about the bust size so I ended up just ordering the 6 as the size I thought I was going to wear and 2 sizes up as back up. I wanted to make sure I was wearing this dress for the rehearsal dinner. I didn't even have to try on the other size because the 6 fit me so perfectly. Thanks RTR.

I got tons of compliments on this dress. The fabric was a very substantial tweed type of fabric. It does run quite small and is tight in the bust.

I love this dress! It feels like tweed and is lined which makes it very forgiving. The 6 fit perfect, but I have a small bust, so I could see the top being too tight for a larger chested girl. Overall this was perfect and just the look I was going for. I read a couple reviews saying that it might be too casual for a wedding, but I disagree. You could definitely do this for a wedding as long as you dress it up with accessories. My first rental with RTR was great. Valerie from customer service was extremely helpful!

This dress is great for a formal affair or a wedding. I wore it to both my engagement party, paired with black heels and to a daytime wedding, paired with summery accessories. The dress material is rich and expensive looking. It's a bit on the thicker side, but still looked great on two very hot summer days in August. The cut is very very fitted on the top (be careful if you are busty or have a wide rib cage) and then looser around the hips, which makes it totally flattering. My waist was accentuated and the less fitted skirt was very flattering. Also, this dress has an interesting pattern which really pops in photos. All in all, a great dress - classy and modern!

I could NOT have asked for a better dress. I wore it to my boyfriends graduation, where I'd be meeting his parents for the first time, so I needed something that was tasteful but still represented my personality. This dress was it. I'm usually a size 4 but I found that going down to a 2 was much more flattering, since the material is a bit thick and can look bulky in some areas. I'm so glad I got the size down because the 2 fit like a glove, especially at the waist and bust (which I was worried about). Got so many compliments on it, I wish I could keep it!
