Casual or dressy?
I rented this for daytime "bumming around" in Vegas - from some reviewers photos I thought this looked like more of a maxi dress, but it's actually a thicker fabric and could probably also pass for a dressy occasion (if the fact that my Uber driver called it a "gown" gives you any indication). It is def boobalicious - I have a B cup and didn't need to wear a bra but this may look a little obscene if you have anything over a C-cup.

Short
Should have listened to the other reviewers -- this top is too short and even though I tried wearing it with a cami underneath to cover my tummy, that looked stupid. Unless you have a short waist, the bottom of this shirt is going to hit you right at or on top of your belly button ... unflattering.

Should have listened to the others
In my opinion this dress has multiple personalities... for the most part it's a conservative dress (too boring for a night out or special occasion) but the side slit is so obnoxiously high, that even if you try to pin it, its impossible to disguise (you'd need multiple pins and then it bunches). Wore this for a work conference with the slit pinned but it kept popping open all day.

Just okay
As some other reviews mentioned, this shirt is boxy. It may be cute if you wore it with tight leather pants and heels or you're a very petite person, but otherwise it's just kind of an unflattering baggy [but pretty] shirt.

Fun maxi
Like others said, this Dress is low cut but the bigger issue is the draping/cut is off for the V-neck making it impossible to cover your chest unless you pin it (I have a Yumi Kim maxi that's a similar style but the YK dress's pattern/cut/lie is how it's supposed to be - still low enough to be sexy and flattering, but covering the breasts). I just used a safety pin with this Nicolas maxi so problem solved but the other reason I deducted a star was because of the smell of the dress - didn't smell clean.

Sassy but conservative
Dress is hot - it's a conservative style but it's tight and [obviously] RED - so it's definitely not the kind of dress you can slink in the background with. If you have a belly at all, you may want to size up. I am an "apple" shape and even with Spanx, I felt like every lump and bump was showing.

Other reviews mentioned this ran small, so I ordered the 48 instead of the 46 (I wear a size 10 typically). Unfortunately, the fit was a little baggy and it ended up making what would have been a somewhat decent looking sheath dress like a loose, frumpy dress. I would advise against sizing down and instead rent your normal size. I even have broad shoulders so sometimes have to size up, but this is def not a dress that you need to go up in size. I still wore it to work today, but it's nothing special -- I think it would at least have looked a little better had it been fitted.

Sleek and chic!
This dress arrived with the tags still on (yay!) and the red wine color is divine. I will say, though, this dress will look best on someone on the taller and thinner side, or at least a woman who has no extra flab on her ribs/side. The cut-outs are such a cool detail but if your sides aren't tight, its not going to look very good.

Gorgeous and Unique!
This dress is one of my Top 3 to date (and that's saying a lot, since I've rented from RTR for years, over 50 dresses)! Even though it looks beautiful in photos, it's even more gorgeous in person. I've worn this dress twice so far (once to a friend's engagement party, and to my work holiday party) . I opted not to tie the neck tie, as it looks like a mix of dominatrix meets Little House on the Prairie. Material, quality, fit and pattern are all top-notch.

Ski resort chic!
This shawl-sweater is so cute for day or a casual evening in a ski resort town. I wore it around Jackson Hole, WY for a girl trip, and wore it with dark brown pleather pants. It's comfortable - but FYI - very warm. I didn't even wear a jacket that night (in 20 degree weather) b/c it was so warm.

Classic jacket
This navy jacket is a good classic staple, with a twist (the collar has a white stripe accent, which adds something a little different). The fit was good and I probably would have given it 4-stars (and wore it more than once) except it's a little itchy. I wore it with a slim white tshirt, which - although looked good - meant that my arms were itchy all day.

This jumpsuit would be a knockout if it just fit correctly. I'm 5 feet, 5 1/2 inches, so I figured I could make the Regular length work (especially bc I'm long waisted, and I figured even if it hit me just below the ankle, I'd wear kitten heels). Unfortunately, the pant leg is flared/ boot cut -- it looks ridiculous without heels. And the Regular length hit me at the ankle - like "high waters" even while trying on barefoot. The upper body was also tight, so if you have a broad back or wide rib-cage, you'll also need to size up. I plan to rent again once I can get the Long length (anyone taller than 5'4" prob will need the LONG!)

Conservative
As others described, this is a thick material (I think it's wool) so best worn in winter with tights or in the fall. But, it's just an Average dress -- I cannot believe it's an $1,100 dress. The buttons look cheap, the fit was kind of baggy, and the length wasn't the most flattering; it went to the bottom of my knees (I'm 5'5") but with the high slit, is strange since the rest of the dress is such a conservative look. RTR also sent me an extra leather belt - one was attached to the dress but they also included one in a baggie, which makes me wonder if another one of the dresses out there is missing it's belt.

FAVORITE!!!
This dress is phenomenal ... it's seriously my favorite RTR dress (and I think I've rented 100 dresses in the last 5 years!). It's unique and a stunning color, and comfortable and flattering. The side cutouts make it sexy, but b/c it has a high neckline and conservative shape, it's not too revealing or sexy. I got so many compliments from men and women alike.

LOOOOVE!
One of my favorite RTR rentals so far -- rented this for Unlimited and kept it for a month! Kept trying to find other places to wear it (wore it to wedding shower and also brought it to the Bahamas with me). Normally I wear a 10 in pretty much everything, but I got an 8 in this (b/c had tried it on in the store) - I would size down unless you want the fit to be super baggy. Even the 8 was still flow, but fit just right around the chest area. Because of the lace-up top portion, you need to wear a low-cut or no bra with this, but it also makes it a little bit sexier than the typical maxi dress. So, so cute and can't wait to rent more from Tanya Taylor!

Conference
Wore this to a work conference - I felt like it was still conservative enough (despite the partial opening in the back) due to the high neckline. As others have mentioned, though, it does have more sparkle in person than in the photos, so it's probably better served for something more "evening". The fabric is also more like a sweater-dress, so I just didn't feel like it was the most flattering [it's not like one of those dresses that accentuates curves or sucks you in]. Overall it was fine.

I rented this as part of my Unlimited subscription and ended up wearing it a few different times - once to work and once to a baby shower. The unique thing is that it's a two-piece, so one time I just wore the underneath shirt-dress, and by only wearing that, you can make it a little more sexy by not buttoning it up all the way. Overall, thought it was a really cute, casual dress!

This dress is very pretty and the fabric seems very high quality. The reason I only gave it three stars is that the fit on my body was off - it was fitted like a sheath dress, but the lower-half (around the hips) was too wide and baggy. It was also about an inch or so longer on me than I would have liked [hit just below the knee instead of at the knee]. But if I owned this dress and could alter it, I can see how it could be a 5-star, really beautiful classy dress.

Nice quality
After reading the reviews I rented a size up (XL) even though I'm a size 10 -- unfortunately, I think it was too big. The leather smells amazing and it's a luxurious coat, but it was too bulky and not flattering because of the size. I guess if you want to wear it with really thick sweaters or sweatshirts, then maybe size-up, but if not - I'd go w/ your normal size. Because of the bulkiness, I only wore it once b/c I just felt like it made me look like a big box. I may have to try renting another VEDA jacket sometime but in Size L.

Runs short
This dress was too small, so I couldn't wear it. It was tight in the ribcage and shoulders/upper arms, so although I could zip it past my waist, even if I could have gotten it all the way up, it would have been too short on me (and I'm only 5'6"). For seeming somewhat conservative on the model, I'd say it's better suited for a night out.

This button-down is unique b/c of the ties on the arms, however it was bulkier than I would have liked and otherwise was kind of just average. I wore it to work with fitted slate-colored pants and I ended up tying the bottom two sides in the front to try to make it more fitted and cute.

Delicate lace
I saw this on one of the hosts of Good Morning America (Amy R.) and recognized it as one of my "Heart" garments on RTR. I have a somewhat dressy, conservative office so I thought I could potentially get away w/ wearing this to work and then out on a date that night. However, I didn't end up wearing it. Besides the dress being too skin tight (I usually wear a 10 in most designers and I was squeezed into the LARGE) I didn't realize that the strip down the middle and across the midsection is see-through. Even if the fit was better, I think it may have been too scandalous for my office. The fit was also too tight in my arms - I actually have somewhat fit arms, but they're muscular - and I couldn't lift my arms up either. My hope is once I lose 5-7 lbs this dress will fit better and I can rent it when I have an actual fancier occasion I can wear it to.

High quality
This is actually one of my favorite rentals to date, despite being what others described as a "simple" dress. It is short, but I wore it with black tights and booties to work (and I like it so much, I am going to wear that again to another client event the same way). The material and fit is what makes it so high-end. I have an apple shape, and I felt like this was a very flattering fit.

What a way to stand out in a ski town! I rented this for a Park City/Deer Valley ski trip and it was perfect. A fur vest is the kind of thing that I wouldn't probably buy, which is where RTR's services come in and are just perfect. It arrived on time (to my hotel) and I wore it to the spa during the day (post slopes), then apres ski, then out to dinner and the bars at night. Not only did my friends love it, but I got complimented by a random guy at the bar too. Super cute!

This dress is great for a work event - I wore it to a conference in San Diego and I liked it because the fabric is fit (forgiving!) but the style is fitted so it still makes it kind of sexy. I wore it with a blazer during the day and then took that off for evening. Got complimented that it brought out the color of my eyes. The one star deduction is because the bottom hem was out -- and that's how I received it. RTR should have noticed that before they sent it out. It was too late (I got it two days before my conference) so I didn't have time to contact RTR or have something else shipped. I used fashion tape to hold it up but it still looked a little "bubbly" [like not flat] so that was the only bummer.

This dress is really gorgeous and high-quality, but sadly I couldn't zip it all the way up. Lovely but didn't fit
I've rented many Nicole Miller dresses before, which seemed to fit true to size, but this one was too snug - couldn't even get the zipper up past my ribcage. The material has no stretch and I am admittedly broad-shouldered/have a broad back, so I was disappointed to waste one of my Unlimited rentals on this given I couldn't wear it. The dress is supposed to be under the knees, but it was also a little too long in my opinion - I would have liked it better had it fallen just under the knees, but on me [5'5] it was more like the top of the calf - can be difficult to wear depending on your body shape.

So unique and cute!
This dress is prettier in person and really a unique style with the blousy front but the open back. You can clip the back, however, so it's more conservative (I even wore it to the office). It's not often you can find a kind of non-sexy dress like this that guys also like but this one was a winner, the guy I'm seeing really liked it. I rarely give 5 stars but this one was a winner!

As other reviewers mentioned, this dress does fit tight in the rib cage - even if you have a smaller chest (which I do) if you have a wide back or a larger rib cage, this will likely be pretty snug in the area it zips up to in the back. That at least helps because you can't really wear a bra with the dress, so it sucks the girls in, but still made it slightly uncomfortable to wear all day. It is, however, a very unique and pretty dress. Despite the fact that it's somewhat backless and the front has the open area between the chest, I still found it to be appropriate to wear for a work function.

This lace dress is very delicate and pretty. While the fabric is somewhat stretchy, which makes it comfortable, because it's so thin I don't know that it's super flattering unless you're thin or have a very tight body. But nevertheless, a beautiful color and standout dress.

This dress is definitely a sassy number for a Vegas weekend. Because of the low back, you cannot wear a bra with it, so it's best for girls with smaller chest sizes (B or under). Despite the conservative high neckline, the back is low and it's very short, so it's still rather sexy. Given it's completely sequins, it's a little "much" for a normal night out, but it's perfect for Vegas. I've rented other Slate & Willow dresses in the past, and they are always a knockout. I'd def recommend.

A standout
This pencil skirt is adorable - I wore it for a work conference with a navy button down and got a ton of compliments, from both men and women alike (granted, one of the compliments was from a University of Michigan grad). It's a standout among a sea of navy suits and boring black dresses.

This dress is stunning but it is what I'd call a "high maintenance" dress - it required so much fashion tape and pinning, b/c of both the plunging neckline and the length that I just couldn't give it 5 stars. Despite renting the "Regular" length and wearing 4 inch heels, I still had to pin the bottom almost 2 inches. And to try to make the bottom even with pinning and tape was very difficult. The deep V also is very revealing, and while you can make it work with fashion tape, I had to use a TON to get the girls to stay in. So, while the dress is gorgeous (and I got a lot of compliments) it's just too difficult to wear.

Too itchy
Like others said, the sheer portion of this top is itchy. I could've gotten over that (I bought cortisone, as others recommended) but the fit on my body shape was just not flattering and the zipper was too difficult if you don't have someone to help you. I have a small chest, but a broad back and rib cage, and this was just way too tight across that area. It made my athletic body look even more broad and the wide-leg pants I thought made me look bottom heavy (which I'm not).

Another review said it best when they referred to it as a "sack, but a cute sack". I was having a "fat day" and this is the kind of dress that hides lumps and bumps easily. The tie sleeves are fun and - I wore this to work - and they never got in the way. Overall, I'd say it was just cute, but nothing special. I paired it with a bright red statement necklace, since it's a little plain.
