The pattern on this dress is SO fun - but the fit is a little off. the bodice and chest fit a bit snug (but I'm small chested, so no big deal) - but instead of flaring out at the waist a bit like other maxis, the waist and thigh area is weirdly narrow and restrictive. Also, not sure if it's the dress I got or the style, but the boning in the bodice does some alienesque things to the side profile of the chest. Looked pretty in engagement photos, though!

This dress has the prettiest neckline - love the square cut and the fun little sleeves. The skirt is full and long, but may overwhelm a smaller frame. The fabric has NO stretch whatsoever (and runs a bit smaller than a typical Kate Spade), so size up for backup.

Rented this little number for a night out in Vegas. It was a bit short, but nothing's too short for Vegas. The weight of the fabric and sequins made this super flattering, and the neckline is fantastic. If you do size up from your normal size, the only things that seem to get bigger are the arm holes - so make sure you have stick-on cups or a black/grey strapless bra that you don't mind poking out when you move around!

Wore this dress for my Bachelorette party in Vegas - and it was SO cute and easy to wear. The off-shoulder sleeves are super flattering, and the length was party appropriate for a 5'8" girl like me (my 6'0" friend had a bit of a situation with the length). If you're not used to wearing sequins, the legs can be a bit scratchy - but all was fine for an evening out. Last note: getting your arms in and out of this thing is a bit tricky. I kept thinking there had to be a hidden zipper somewhere, but it just took some maneuvering to get in and out of.

One of my favorite RTR rentals ever. This was SO flattering; the waist hit at the thinnest part of my waist and the structure/flare was perfection. I would even feel comfortable wearing this at an office cocktail party, though the back is a teeny bit low. A word of caution: I am VERY small chested, and this was pretty snug around the bust. Size up if you've got assets.

This dress is cute as all get-out, but beware: the top's REAL LOW, it runs a bit big, and the skirt is very, very voluminous. After this evening, my friends nicknamed me the Drunk Fairy. My biggest complaint about this dress is that the tulle looks like kind of a hot mess when it first gets to you -- so hang it up in a steamy bathroom while you shower to help the kinks fall out.

Wore this for Easter Sunday; it was perfectly springy, appropriate for an indoor-outdoor family party and I scored tons of compliments. The fabric doesn't have much stretch and it's REALLY thick, so if you're between sizes, order both the smaller & the larger. I have no boobies so there were no issues in the chest, but some larger-busted lovelies may have some snugness there.

Rented this dress for Valentine's Day -- and it was seriously the perfect winter date dress. I rented the 4 and the 6, and the 4 was a bit more of the body-hugging fit I was looking for. The 6 was more of a body-skimming shift style. Beware, tall ladies: it's a little shorty-short -- so I wore it with black tights; the dress is more of a greyish-purple than a black or silver. Super cute. Felt amazing all night & didn't feel too over-the-top during VDay dinner. Yay!

The 'RTR Moment' verbiage is totally appropriate. I totally had a moment in this dress. I rented this bad boy for a November wedding, my first dress-up situation after losing 20 pounds (so it took some major balls to go this body-conscious). The dress arrived on time and in fabulous condition; the only telltale sign that it had been worn ever was that the red paint on the zipper pull was chipped a little bit. I have no boobies left so I had to wear a bit of a padded bra on top, and there was some assistance from Spanx behind the scenes -- but the fit and the color were absolutely stunning. I think being tall helps a bit with the fit of the shoulder & the cap sleeve; it seems like shorters gals are having issues with bagginess up top. Warning: the skirt kind of tapers in toward the knee, so you've gotta watch your dancing. You can dance reasonably well as long as you're not doing the stanky leg or anything. You shouldn't be doing the stanky leg at a formal event anyway, though, so you should be good to go. Anyway: I received a ridiculous number of compliments. I felt stunning. This dress is the bomb.

The perfect LBD, for real. Rented the 6 and the 8, and both fit kind of the same -- maybe I would have been slightly more mobile in the 8, but whatevs: went with the 6 because I could. Classy, fabulous, and the perfect fit for ANY occasion. This took me from dinner to a party to a chill NYE celebration at a friend's home, and I wasn't over or under-dressed for any of it. Super flattering. ALSO! It's challenging getting this thing on without smudging deodorant all over it. Be mindful of your antiperspirant choice, people. White schmutz is not chic.
