Loved it!
I ended up purchasing it! Straps are too long but I safety pinned them up. Absolutely zero stretch but super flattering and loved the color.

Even with the button at the top the dress is low if you have a large bust - I needed safety pins to keep it closed. Also one button was missing. Runs large so I sized down and then the fit was perfect. Super cute color and fit.

Gorgeous dress, very trendy and different
It's tight around the midriff and don't think about wearing spanx because it's tight around the legs too and the slit is high, so spanx lines will show. If you have big boobs this might be a little much because it really emphasizes them though the built-in top part kept them firmly in place (along with a strapless bra). Overall, very sophisticated and cool, and I liked that it was different than the traditional date night dress. Definitely ideally will be in killer shape to wear it next time :)

Very pretty, perfect summer top!
It fits close to the body, I wore a black bodysuit tank top underneath which worked perfectly. It's very seethrough and it's seethrough in the buttons (might just be because I am larger chested and so the buttons were straining a little at the chest). But with a black or white tank underneath it's perfect for a spring day.

Very cute; got multiple compliments
This is more a shirt that girls will appreciate rather than guys, as it's very airy and not form fitting with very feminine details. I got a ton of compliments from girls on the shirt and it was the perfect thing to wear when feeling bloated and not wanting something tight on your stomach!

Great option for a bachelorette party
Very body con so just be aware of that and make sure you are comfortable in your own skin! Does hold everything together pretty well though I also wore spanx, but if your stomach protrudes at all the dress will show it! Very flattering on the chest/hips area. Overall, I wouldn't wear it again because it was just too body-con/revealing for my taste, but for the event and the night out, it worked perfectly.

Perfect for a work cocktail party
I am usually a 4 in dresses but in Lela Rose I am either a 4 or a 6 - only the 6 was available and it fit perfectly. The dress is really flattering and the fabric is gorgeous. Unfortunately I gave it only 4 stars, not 5, because the dress smelled like BO! It must have not been properly cleaned from the previous rental. It was really gross, I didn't notice it until I'd left the house and I was self conscious all evening that people would think I smelled! :) The dress itself though was perfect for the occasion - a work cocktail party. With super high heels it looked sharp and sexy.

Wore it to the Belmont Stakes - nice dress for the occasion.
Loved the pattern and the style was perfect for the occasion but the fit was off. It bunched up in stomach area, making it appear that I had a weird pooch there, and it was Really low cut so for busty women this is not the right choice (i'm a 32D) - the straps were too long and I ended up knotting them to shorten them so that the dress wouldn't be so low cut. Overall, it wasn't a dress I would have chosen to wear or buy but it worked out fine for the occasion.

Super Cute and Classy!
I wore this to a rehearsal dinner in Palm Springs and got a lot of compliments on it. It was thick enough fabric that I could have worn it in a colder climate, but the sleeves and loose fit made it easy to wear in the heat as well. I loved the quilting on the dress and the pattern at the bottom and on the sleeves. It was really pretty and definitely different from anything anyone else was wearing! It was also just very easy to wear, could wear a regular bra, didn't need Spanx with the forgiving full skirt, and a very flattering fit. Loved it!

Thick flattering fabric and super sexy cut out back. I didn't wear this because it was way too sexy for a rehearsal dinner, and I felt a little self-conscious with it being SO tight everywhere. However, I loved the mock turtleneck and the open back. If you're confident about showing off your body, this is the dress for you!

This would be so cute for a holiday party without the oddly flared back. It just was too trendy and eclectic for my taste. The top part fit great but it just wasn't flattering to have the whole bottom flare out in the back. I didn't end up wearing it.

Not for hourglass figures!
This dress is not for hourglass figures/bigger hips with the dropped waistline. The dress has a office/work attire look, but then the plunging neckline obviously makes it totally inappropriate for work attire - so I didn't think this would be a good fit for the occasion, which was a rehearsal dinner. The colors were cute and the fabric was nice, but it just didn't flatter my body at all. I also found that the 40 was super tight - i would have needed a 42.

Black Swan!
This dress was so perfect for the bachelorette party I attended. It was a fairly dressy event in Palm Beach and we did a big night out on the town. I love the way the dress flared at the bottom with the tulle and the sheath top was super flattering. Very easy to wear. I could have worn the 2 or the 4 but the 2 fit a bit better at the top/waist. Definitely short but totally do-able. I loved it and I got many compliments on the dress. My girlfriends called me Black Swan all evening :)

Stand out in a crowd!
This dress was perfect for the occasion, a 40th birthday party at the Standard Hotel. The 4 was too snug (I could fit it but it was Tight) but the 6 was absolutely perfect. The thick fabric concealed flaws and the color was just gorgeous. I wore with black suede high heels and I definitely attracted a lot of looks (in a good way!)...will likely rent this again!

Nice dress, but more for work than play
I ordered this dress for a black tie event which was my own mistake..I thought with some fancy jewelry I could dress it up, but it looked much more appropriate for a work event than a black tie gala. The 40 fit very snug and I didn't love the way my hips looked in it. The 42 hung nicely over my hips (a bit big, but I liked that look better) but the bust was gaping and the straps were too long. Basically I needed a size 41, if that existed! For the price, this dress didn't WOW me at all...but obviously well made, great thick fabric, beautiful color, etc.

I absolutely love this dress. I ordered another dress and when it didn't fit, RTR saved the day and got me a few other options for my black tie event. This was one of them. I was afraid from the photos it would be too conservative but it was just the right balance between classy and a bit sexy too with the sheer fabric and beading on top. The fit was PERFECTION - very tailored and fitted so definitely showed off curves but also hit in the right places and the thick fabric concealed any flaws. With sparkly shoes and earrings this dress really stood out in a sea of long dresses and I got so many compliments on it!

The fit was great, tailored close to the body and fit typical to Black Halo - runs small so the size 6 fit perfectly. My problem with the dress was just the neckline was a bit overwhelming and the slit was totally not appropriate for the black tie event I was attending. Probably would work better for an edgy cocktail event...I didn't end up wearing it.

I wore this dress to a friend's birthday brunch. I usually wear a 4 in dresses but it was swimming on me, the 2 fit much better. It was very cute and I got a couple of nice compliments. It's tough to wear in the winter, since with black tights the look is a little jarring. It would be much more stunning with bare legs and nude heels in the summer.

This dress runs true to size. I ordered a size 6 and it was too big, I should have gotten a 4 (which is my regular dress size) but I thought it might be a little tight. I was wrong! This dress is cute but not the fabulousness that Nicole Miller usually produces. I didn't love the color, the blue flowery design bit shiny and very jaquard-y, thick and not stretchy. The boning at the bust is great for support but the dress doesn't hug the waistline where it should. This may be because I got too big a size, but I've tried other 6's in Nicole Miller and they've been a bit big but still clingy, and this one since the fabric is stiff, it created a boxy silhouette. All in all, I think this dress has potential to look great on someone else but I personally wouldn't order it again, even in the right size.

This dress runs a tiny bit smaller than other nicole miller dresses, especially in the hips and the back. It was similar shape to most NM dresses and flattering (and I could wear a strapless bra and it didn't show, which was a plus!), but the only thing I didn't like was that the bust was a bit low - not that it showed too much cleavage just that the entire bust line started a bit lower than where it should have. Also the mesh looks a bit cheaper than it does it the photo. Overall I wouldn't rent the dress again, I didn't love it as much as I normally love NM dresses, but it worked well for the party and I did get compliments on it.
