Fun dress in a sea of formality
Wore with a nu-bra but even that almost peeped out - a strapless, backless bra with a u-shape front would be ideal if you already own one or have time to get that exactly. Otherwise this was a fun dress to wear, the hi-lo hem and ruffles make it flirty and great for dancing. Lots of compliments all night!

Great for work and work travel
I wore this for two days of work travel between different cities and on the train and airplanes - it was so easy to throw on over a thin black sweater and black pants with boots, look out together but also comfortable. Highly recommend and would rent again, even buy!

So soft and so stylish
This was surprisingly super-soft and so cozy. A bit fitted for a medium but not restrictive. I wore both tucked into a skirt and then over skinny coated black jeans. Great for the winter and work!

When I initially tried it on, I thought it would be too short for work - but add opaque black tights and some sock booties, so fun and chic. I wore it to my office, then for an all-day training I taught in another city, straight into the airplane home, and then finally for a breakfast event at an urban art therapy program.

Perfect for both work AND post-work dinner
Wore this with black tights and black sock booties - so comfortable and chic, while seemingly a basic sweater dress, the cut and stitch detail was really flattering. More of a tomato red than cherry but still could be suitable for the holidays. Definitely becoming a big fan of Jason Wu!

Standout color and style plus so comfortable
Wore this to receive an award at a work event - it was the perfect mix of style, comfort and a great color. I loved that the short sleeves came to my elbows for a little more warmth and coverage. Considered pinning the front but it didn't end up being too revealing so left as is. So many compliments on the style and color - I just had to buy it and expect to wear to every holiday event!

A standout dress - compliments all night!
There were no reviews for this exact dress - but I looked at the same cut, different color version on RTR that has tons of reviews and couldn't turn it down. It is seemingly conservative with the long sleeves and mid-calf length -- but the print, sequins, back, and "love your curves" fit made this dress a standout. I wore a strapless bra though you could potentially wear a normal bra if you pin the straps to stay a little wide set in the back. Don't walk, RUN to rent this dress!

Stylish and chic - perfect for work!
Loved the classic houndstooth print mixed with the updated cut of this dress. It was perfect for work - I wore it to a conference as well as to two special work events. The solid black zipper up the back gave it the right amount of added edge.

Work appropriate with a cardigan
This was a nice, cute and comfortable dress - I wore to work with a long cardigan over top. Only not-appropriate for work considerations: 1. The straps were a little loose so probably would have pinned to wear again; 2. The buttons are "faux" down the front ... EXCEPT for the last section at the bottom of the skirt, which caused an unexpected gap while I was seated. Didn't realize until I got in the car to drive to work so then was careful while seated at my desk. Otherwise, it was a nice appropriate midi length and not too tight.

Cool and fit well - not in love with it
This skirt was just okay - I think I expected it to feel more luxurious given the designer name, but I think the luxury is more in the creative design. It is not so much of a hi-lo hem but mismatched - it made me feel self-conscience in the morning because it gave the impression the wrap was coming undone to make one part hang lower than the rest. But a coworker convinced me it looked cool and it felt comfortable enough, I went with it. Nothing spectacular - pairs well with a simple white or black tee.

So many compliments - Shoshanna dress FTW!
This dress is pieced together so well - very flattering and conservative at the same time. I was nervous the fabric was going to be heavy and hot, but it's relatively lightweight but still has some structure. While the overall dress fit like a TTS 6 or 8, the front part seemed a little stretched out for my smaller chest size (hence knocking off a star). Fortunately that didn't impact around the arm holes or make the back gape at all. The neck would feel tight when I sat down, but a quick adjustment and then everything felt fine. I received compliments all day on this dress from work to my kids' swim practice - would definitely rent again!

Fit like a glove - compliments all night!
Loved this dress - the spaghetti straps are adjustable so I tightened since I'm likely not as well endowed as some previous wearers. I invested in some nicer shapewear to keep everything smooth and sucked in. And it paid off - compliments all night and I felt wonderful in this dress! Pink and red for the win!

Very very tight arms
The elastic on the arms that goes around your bicep was VERY tight. Otherwise the dress fit well but I couldn't wait to take it off after even just a few minutes when it arrived.

Perfect for a dressy casual outdoor wedding
Loved this dress for mostly-outdoors wedding we attended. The gingham print made it casual and summery but the rainbow colors, cut and gold buttons made it modern and stylish. The straps come together in the back so had to wear a strapless bra. Also note when seated, the two slits in the skirt may open up high, so be wary if you plan to wear any shorts-style shape wear or similar.

True to size if just a bit snug
I rented these in the size 6R to try before wearing for a vacation next month. As other reviews state, it's a BEAUTIFUL pattern without being too garish. It was a little bit snug for me around the waist so definitely going to go with an 8R but can't wait to wear it!

Fun sweater - perfect for Valentines Day
I wore this sweater to work - once with black pants and once with dark jeans and wine-colored velvet blazer over it for Valentine's Day. It was chic with the graphic print and I personally found the hearts more modern than cutesy. It was a tad short on my 5'7"" frame (I sort of have a long torso) and the knit is tight so it was a snug Medium. But I would rent again for sure!

Loved these pants - perfect for the holidays
These were great pants to wear around the holidays - the cut was just right for me, including the side zip, though I had to hold together to get it to zip up easily as it fit *just right*. I wore these pants to work as well as to a holiday party and Christmas mass.

Fun to be the one in a smoking red dress
I've been wanting to rent this dress for a long time, so glad I planned ahead for this black tie event and reserved it well in advance. As with most all of my RTR dresses, lots of compliments all night long. The 6R fit true to size if just a bit snug around the waist, tightest at the true waist above the hips. Even though I pulled it snug in the top with the ties, it was still a bit roomy so I wore with a NuBra. As others mentioned the underskirt was a little strange and wavy along its hem, but maybe that matched the wavy-ness of the dress skirt? Regardless, it didn't affect how it looked and I loved wearing this dress. Main reason I took off a star is that the wire that provides shape to the top portion is starting to poke out and my skin was red and irritated right by my arm pits - no bueno. But my pain is your warning just to cover any exposed parts before heading out to dance for the night.

I've rarely met a wrap dress I didn't like - and thought I could make this one work. But the top around the shoulders and bust were too gaping to make it look right, no matter how tight I tied it or even pinning the front. I am admitted small chested, so perhaps the dress is better suited for someone who could fill it out better or get away with a smaller size overall? The 6R fit me in the bottom and waist, and I'm currently closer to a size 8 in pants and dresses.

Day to evening work - just shy of loving it
I'm not sure I found the white/cream color and lots of pleats super-flattering, but I liked the conservative coverage and length for the all-day work conference into evening party I rented this for. I wore it with a short, structured blazer because the A/C was on high. Be sure to have a nude or white cami on hand because the top is not lined (photo shows my black bra when I was trying it on at home - no bueno).

Comfortable and stylish in Mexico
I rented this for a work rewards trip in Mexico and wore to our welcome reception. Currently I'm 150 lbs, 36B in my chest and size 8/10 in pants. While the Medium in this dress fit, it was a little snug right where the top met the bottom, where there's an open weave crochet and not a lot of give. I felt more comfortable in the Large and then had my husband tie the top so it sat right at the edge of my shoulders, though you could wear off the shoulders too. Honestly not sure I would have been able to tie it without him, so keep that in mind. This was a perfect vacation dress and I would definitely rent again!

Beautiful and comfortable for a rehearsal dinner
Can't go wrong with a DVF wrap dress - the colors and mix of patterns on this dress are SO pretty. I wore with turquoise ball earrings and brown leather platform sandals. I would definitely wear this again!

Great print and comfort for a work party
Followed advice and sized up - while the Large would have been more comfortable in the waist, I ended up wearing the Medium because the Large seemed too loose in the shoulders and chest. I am three months postpartum and nursing/pumping so my current chest size as well as the easy access of the wrap style made this the perfect dress. I wear a black camisole since it was a work party. The black and white are graphic background with the pink floral garnered a lot of compliments. I wore either black platform sandals for the party and good ol' Dr Scholl’s slides during the day - the dress worked for both.

Comfortable and gorgeous - perfect combo for black tie affair
Loved wearing this dress for a black tie event we attended - the top was fitted and sexy, while the a-line skirt with pockets made it easy to move and dance, especially since the front was a little higher cut (if you have some awesome shoes or a pedicure to show off).

Chic, sexy, and conservative all at the same time
I wore this for a work party held at a rooftop bar in the middle of the summer. I paired it with a simple black tank tucked in and black wedge sandals - but I think it could just as easily translate to winter with a similar look, black top and black tights. The fabric is a little thicker and therefore was a tighter 6 than I was used to - hugged all of my curves but wasn't inappropriate. I would definitely rent this skirt again.

A structured wrap dress perfect for a work event
I love DVF and wrap dresses so jumped at the chance to wear this more structured version to an evening work event. The heavier material and pleats helped me conceal a still-unannounced pregnancy - plus a lot of the attention was drawn to the gorgeous pattern and colors. I loved that it had pockets too - perfect for some lipstick and business cards. I wore a dark navy camisole and navy suede wedges. I received compliments all night - would definitely recommend this dress to others!

Casual chic for an outdoor party
As recommended, I sized down for my backup size even though I already went with my smaller size in general. I'm normally between a 4 or 6 depending on designer - I wore the 2! It was exactly fitted at my waist and even a little tight at the end of the party due to food, drink and heat. It's a bit roomy in the chest but nothing a good strapless bra plus a good fit otherwise could distract from. The skirt is full and has great movement - it was perfect for me to get low and sit on the ground even with my kids. Plus I loved having my phone with me but hidden in one of the pockets - gotta love pockets! I received a lot of compliments, felt great and once again, another wonderful RTR experience.

Culottes are cool - I swear!
I had to explain what culottes are to one 30-year old colleague -- I said, go ask your mother -- while my contemporaries and older were intrigued that this style was back. I did think they were stylish when worn with open-toed shoes with a block heel - when I switched to flats, I felt a little more "Working Girl" and 'is it pants/is it a skirt/it's both' cheesy. But I'd wear them again and they were a good fit for a Friday work day - I wore with a tucked in white short-sleeve shirt. These culottes have sizable pockets, but I felt like they were a little big, though not totally in the waist (which sits high) - more so in the cut that created the a-line shape of the "skirt".

Cute style for a basic black pant
These pants felt a little big - I consider myself a true 6 and they fit comfortably, if a little loose. I struggled with what shoes to wear - with a low wedge heel, the cut came across like flood pants, so I went with flats so it looked a little more intentional. The sailor button style was cute, but maybe better suited on a navy pant instead of black. I wore for work and then an event afterwards with a tucked silk, long-sleeve blouse.

Smart and chic with a fun print
This blouse does not button all the way up, creating a deep v-neck, and for work, definitely required me to wear a black camisole underneath. I wore it with the Tibi wide legged black pants I also received on my Unlimited order and black flats. I went to an event after work and got a lot of compliments - the blouse was really comfortable, but I felt very professional and fashionable at the same time.

Pretty print and bohemian style
I would have preferred a size 4 in this dress based on the style - it has a loose waist that can be adjusted for fit with a sewn-in tie belt and blousy top, so it felt a bit loose. I wore this dress twice ... First, for a birthday party at someone's home. The dress ran a bit short on me, so to compensate I loosened the tie belt and it hung longer. I wore it with stack heels and dangly earrings to dress it up. The second time I wore it was for work. I tied the belt to accentuate my waist and wore with dark gray leggings and mid-height wedge pumps. It was pretty, fashionable and conservative enough for the office and a client dinner I had following the day.

Perfect for Mothers Day brunch!
I wasn't sure about this jumpsuit when I first tried it on because I couldn't put together the clasp on the back of my neck. Once I got that sorted (it was bent out of shape), the top of the jumpsuit was just the right amount of blousy and I appreciated the snap on the front cross over. I wore a camisole underneath because other than the snap, it's a bit open when you're seated or moving around (like helping my kids at Mothers Day brunch). It was just the right amount of casual and stylish - I wore with platform sandals, but also tried with mid-height wedge pumps to wear to work (the weather wasn't cooperating and it was too cold!).

Beautiful fabric
As other reviewers note, this dress is heavy because of the gorgeous tapestry-like fabric. For me, I normally go with styles that are fitted on top but flare out at the waist - however, the fabric just added way too much thickness and made me feel bigger. I would have worn this dress though if I didn't love the other one I received - the pockets are great and it is definitely unique in the color and pattern.

"Best dress" for NYE black tie wedding
Everyone should wear a full sequin gown once in her life - and this should be the dress. So many compliments all night long. I consider myself a 4 on top and 6 on bottom. The 6L fit great but the 4L was even better - form fitting for my smaller top but stretchy on the bottom so I wasn't self conscious plus could move, walk, and most importantly dance easily.

Someone told me "Best Dress of the Event"
Wore to a black tie event with a live band and dinner - so this dress was perfect on all fronts because it looked great but moved great too! The bust was fitted, I wore with a backless bra with sticky sides - because the fitted part stopped just above my stomach, I felt like it was still comfortable to sit and eat (not the "fashion is painful-I can't breathe" feeling others commented on). Pockets were great, even just to keep my lipstick in. And the hi-lo hem was perfection for the hot August night but the black tie dress code. So many compliments and I felt great in it too! Must add too - I spent about 20 minutes in the ladies room educating three women about the joys of Rent the Runway! :)

Definitely runs large - normally I'm a 4/6, ordered 4 and 2 based on reviews and wore the 2. The fabric was comfortable and the cut simple, but the gold detail really dressed it up and was perfect for the fancy wedding in downtown Chicago I attended. I wore a statement necklace, gold strappy shoes and metallic tone clutch - and it has pockets!
