I loved this dress. It was perfect for the wedding I went to. 

Perfect for a work Christmas party. It is tasteful and loved the cut outs. Great burgundy color! Worked with ankle boots and tights in the winter. Would rent again! Fit me perfectly true to size. 

Fit like a glove and didn't have to wear a bra with the dress. It's very comfortable and I received many compliments. It's a beautiful dress and I loved wearing it.

Super comfortable, pretty, and gorgeous color. I received a ton of compliments on this dress. It was my first time renting from Rent the Runway and didn't know what the sizing would be like. It fit very well and I wonder if a size smaller would have fit just as well because the fabric was stretchy. The dress was slightly conservative so it was perfect for a wedding with friends of the family. 

I wore this for Thanksgiving. This dress is so sexy without being revealing. Appropriate for a date night or a family party. My boyfriend loved it. We agreed this dress is one of the best I've ordered from RTR yet.

My daughter wore this to a formal gala and looked gorgeous! Very comfortable and true to size.  

This dress is a nice, thick fabric. The fit-and-flare style is very forgiving on the lower tummy. I'm only 5'2" and this dress JUST reached a length I felt appropriate for work-tall girls rent with caution! The only reason I didn't rate it with full stars was because I had to constantly adjust my bra strap to hide under the shoulder strap.

This dress fit perfectly for a true 6, I didn't even need to open the backup size. The color was exactly as pictured, my date had picked out a dark red tie based on the photos on the website and it matched perfectly. Went well with my cowboy boots, and I got a lot of compliments. It's a thick, heavy fabric, which was good because it was very windy that day but I never had an issue with the skirt blowing up. It was also a very hot day, but with the short sleeves and dark color, it didn't feel too bad and nobody could tell how much I was sweating! The only downsides are the lack of pockets, the double straps are a little weird and don't quite line up with a standard bra, and the neck is a bit too high in the front if you don't like things touching your throat. Overall, I would recommend this dress.

I rented this for a work party that was semi formal. I didn't want anything too crazy, but I still wanted to look good. This dress was classy but cute, and a perfect length (just above my knee- and I'm 5'4"). The material is heavy, but breathable. I wore a strapless bra, but could have likely got away with a regular one. The color is nice- kind of a burgundy mixed with brown? Its a good neutral-ish color. Good for if you want to not stand out too much.I also wore with black tights and black flats. Another great dress from RTR! 

I wore this dress for a daytime event at a country club. I got a TON of compliments! It's so comfortable and it fit like a glove. I am 5'6", about 135 lbs, usually wear a 4-6. A size 4 was perfect. 

If you are bigger on bottom and smaller on top, this kind of fit and flair is meant for you. The material is nice and thick, so, it didn't need much beyond a quick steam after I packed it and wore it for a rehearsal dinner. I wore it with a peep-toed, chunky heeled boot, and I received a lot of compliments. The color is also a perfect pick for a fall event (however, I think this could easily be worn in winter with tights or on a chilly spring day--might be a little too thick of material for a super hot summer event). I was really happy with the dress, and I would buy it if I ever saw something like it. It would be a good staple in your closet.

Great dress for Christmas!  I wore to Church and dinner. The color was a bit more purple than I expected but still in the burgundy family.  I wore a strapless bra and it worked fine. Great weight for winter, it is a heavier fabric and lined. My only negative was that it did not give me much of a shape. Overall a great dress!

Wore for a dinner and night out in a town I was visiting, so needed to be able to walk a long way. Very comfortable, did not need to wear a bra

I wore this dress to Thanksgiving dinner at a country club. I thought that it ran somewhat large. I am usually a solid six or eight. I wore the si and it was still a little bit loose in some areas. Other than that it fit pretty well and was flattering!

Great dress for a family wedding - first time meeting boyfriend's friends and family so I wanted to be conservative & not stand out too much. The fabric was heavy duty - nice in the high air-conditioned venue. Can wear bra or not - I wore without & was fine. Easy to move in. The 4 and 6 both fit fine - I can't remember which one I wore.

The dress is fitted enough to show off curves and hold you in as well. The dress is a heavy material and well structured. I was able to wear it with just a black blazer for a fall wedding at a winery (outdoor ceremony with the sun going down).
I had so many compliments on the fit, color (many of our family members actually showed up in similar shades of purple and it worked so beautifully!), and style of the dress. The shoulder cut-outs are such a nice addition and make it fun as well, I could have gotten away with a strapped bra (positioned correctly) but went with strapless just to be safe!

I wore the 2 over the 4 but a 0 probably would have fit better. The material is thick which was fine because it was a chilly evening. The cut outs and color were pretty. Wish I would have gone another size down. 

This dress is made of a great material. It was comfortable but thick enough that you don't need a bra. I always have problems with dresses that have no room in the bust area. Not this one. I'm a 34D and fit comfortably in the size 4. I love this dress and will definitely rent again in the future!! 

Dress fit in wonderfully. True to size. I was actually able to fit into the eight instead of the 10, no Spanx and still looked good. I wore for an anniversary party and got lots of compliments.

It fit super well. I wore it without a bra (Im a 32C/D) and it fit perfectly. The material was heavy but didn't get to hot. I got a ton of compliments! I would definitely consider renting this dress again.

This dress was amazing! The fit was perfect. I felt comfortable all night in it. The should cut outs were SO adorable and got many compliments on it. The materially was stretchy but it's definitely a heavy dress. I wasn't expecting it to be thick but it worked out for a breezy, outdoor wedding! 

Loved this dress, fit exactly as I hoped it would. I didn't need a bra because of the heavy quality material. This dress is classy and elegant. Versatile for any occasion. I rented a necklace because other reviews had recommended a chunky necklace. I agree it looked perfect 

Fit great! Fabric was very stretchy so the 4 worked out very well. The material is heavy so probably not the best for really hot weather. I got a ton of compliments on it! Really liked the dress

Went with the size 8 dress for the slightly longer length but overall a great dress and lots of compliments on the color and style!  

I am 5'3" and about 140lbs with a 32C bust.  I wore a size 6 and it fit perfectly.  The dress is super high quality and was extremely comfortable.  It fell to just about above my knees which was nice so I could wear higher heels and not feel like my butt was going to show.  I wore a strapless bra and that was perfect.  It didn't peak out anywhere.  The fit was perfectly tight around my midsection so I felt super thin.  I would totally rent this dress again!

Tight fit in the breasts but definitely needed a size 12 rather than a 10

As always, RTR sent me a beautiful dress in great condition. Unfortunately they didn't have a 6 which would have been perfect so I ordered a 4 and 8. The 8 was too long and made me look frumpy but by some miracle the 4 actually fit me (with a little help from spanx) I still wish the dress was a few inches shorter to really give it that sexy touch but all in all it was a great  date dress and my hubby loved it

 Ps. You need a strapless bra for this dress since the shoulders are cut out 

The dress was a bit tight in the underarm area, but otherwise, really fun!

The dress is thick and heavy, but great for my Valentine's dinner date. I went with the smaller size even though it was my back up. It was very comfortable, I loved the detail on the shoulders!

This dress was cute but not my favorite!  It's versatile and I was able to wear it out  to a dinner, a play, and even ice skating.  But hard to find a bra that works well!

My first RTR, It hugged my body in all the right places, very flattering. The material is super soft and very comfortable. Hard to zip yourself but other than that no cons here! Lots of compliments!! 

I rented this dress as a last minute replacement for a dress that was unfortunately stolen. As always, the RTR staff was incredibly helpful in helping me get a backup overnighted to my hotel. While this dress wasn't my first (or second or third) choice, it ended up working out well for my friend's wedding. The cut outs at the beck make an otherwise simple dress unique. The color is great for fall and the shape is very flattering. The fabric was a little heavy and it was a little long for me (I'm 5'3")
