Perfect for special occasions, event rentals allow you to reserve items in advance for specific dates. We offer 4 or 8 day rental periods.
If one or all of the styles in your order doesn’t fit, you can get a replacement for $12.95 (shipping plus tax) within the first 48 hours of your rental period. After that time, we are unable to provide a replacement. Select your replacement by following these steps:
1. Log into our app or website.
2. Click “Get a Replacement” in the top black banner.
3. Follow the prompts to choose new styles.
If we can’t send a replacement in time for your event, you’ll receive a credit on your Rent the Runway account for the cost of your order less shipping. To remain eligible for your credit, you must reach out to us within the first 48 hours of your rental period.

You can make changes to your order here. If we haven't started packing your order, you can change your rental begin date, change sizes, add an accessory, and update your shipping address.

We offer one free backup size with every event rental. Free backup sizes do not apply to each style in your order.
When you return something late, it means the next person who was planning on wearing that style no longer can.
Returns must be dropped off with the shipping carrier noted on your return label by 12pm on or before the return date specified in your order. You are liable for any late fees incurred, regardless of any third party involved with the return. Do not leave your returns with any third party (for example, your hotel, mailroom or friend).
If you lose your return label or packaging, you can return your items in any box or mailer, and you can generate a new return label by following the steps here.
