The dress was gorgeous. Thick, beautiful fabric. 

Dress was a little tight and rode up a bit when sitting down. Other than that the fit was great. I probably should have gone with the 6 instead of the size 4. 

The dress was beautiful! I had lots of great comments. I wore it for the grand opening of my hotel "the Rose" so the pattern was PERFECT. I will rent again. 

Gorgeous color and fabric. Flattering design.  Unfortunately, it runs small on top, so I ended up not wearing it.  I am a size 10 on top and size 8 on bottom (5'8", 154 lbs, 36C). I rented this dress in size 10, which was very snug at the chest and ribcage, while being slightly big at the hips. I could have worn the dress for an event where one mostly stands, but it was too tight to sit down for dinner. If I had ordered one size up to fit my chest, then the skirt would have been too big.  This dress is gorgeous and would look great on pear shapes and smaller chested women.  Note that this dress comes in various colors.

I was so excited to get this dress for a work event that I didn't care if a back up size was available or not. I received my regular size, 4, and it just barely fit. It fit enough that I could wear it but not enough that I sit comfortable at a sit-down dinner for work. If you're mostly standing, it's great! The pockets are awesome and the dress looks beautiful on. I wish I had a 6 as a backup because I probably would have worn that size. It was tight everywhere (legs--ok I have muscular runner legs , I get it and chest--and I wear a size A or maybe a B cup so ??) except the hips. The hips bulged out and there was extra fabric. I don't understand. Beautiful dress but I wouldn't rent it again.

I wear size 6/8 in dresses. I ordered an 8 for this dress and it fit pretty well. It was a little tight in the butt/hips/thigh area. I was fine standing but sitting wasn't the most comfortable. Overall I loved the look and style of the dress, kind of a more proper style. 

I wore this for my bridal shower, and received so many compliments. The fabric was substantial, and in person, the rose designs have this lovely dimension to them that I didn't expect. I'm a pretty true busty (34G) hourglass shape, and based on reviews, I was worried this would be too tight in the bust or too full in the hips. Happily, it was perfect for someone shaped like I am, and I didn't want to send it back. 

Also: POCKETS. How do you not love a dress with pockets?!

The fit is form fitting but it is thick and very well made.

The dress was beautiful! I ordered a size 12 as the RTR dress I wore last month was a size 12 and slightly large. However, this dress was snug in the breast area. A size 14 would have been more comfortable. I still received numerous compliments!

Perfect fit, gorgeous detailing, and super comfortable. Extra plus, it has pockets! I absolutely loved the fit of this dress and how it accentuated my assets and hid some of my not so great parts. Classy enough to fit in at the wedding, but fun enough to dance all night in. This has been one of my favorite dresses I've rented from this site and I will definitely be getting it again.

Loved this design and color. I was worried about the fit of the sleeve because I have broader shoulders, but it fit great! A little snug in the hips due to tighter lining underneath, but I went with the bigger size and was very comfortable. 5'9, 150 lbs.

This dress is quite lovely to look at. The fabric is more of an upholstery type, and is not shiny as it appears in some photos. The color is striking without being annoying. The problem with this dress is in the fit. I typically wear a size 2 or 4. I'm definitely straight and narrow through the waist and hips. The two was slightly too tight to zip up. The four zipped up but was then loose and large in the bust and hips. There's an underlayer at the thighs that is tight. I was glad I had an alternate dress to wear from rent the runway as I could have worn this dress but I would not have been comfortable. The picture doesn't quite tell the story of the fit. If you tend to be a bit more curved and your curves fit within the confines of the dress, it is really beautiful. 

I loved this dress! Very post-birth bump friendly and flattering to figure. I needed size 4 but wore 6 because it was available but still liked the way it fitted. Comfortable to move around as well! 

Vibrant pink dress with gorgeous details. The pockets are a added bonus. The fit was perfect and the dress stood out in the crowd.

I received many compliments on the dress. The fabric is thick like a tapestry. I had to wear a bigger size then I normally do. The dress had room, however the lining was tight. 

Because of the style of the dress and my shape, the 12 served well. This dress has no give so order according to your midsection. But it was a beautiful dress for a beautiful summer wedding.

This dress is beautiful and a great thick material, but still comfortable enough for a warm day! I usually wear a size 6 or 8, but after reading the reviews I ordered the 8 and the 10. As others mentioned, the inner lining is much smaller and tighter than the outer layer, so while the size 8 looked better from the outside, I was unable to walk in it because the inner lining was so tight on the bottom half. The size 8 dress I received also had the inner lining and the outer dress a bit misaligned. The size 10 was much more comfortable for my bottom half and I was able to sit and walk comfortably. I am about 5'3" and the dress hit just above my knee when wearing heels, an appropriate length for a professional event without being boring! My family and friends all loved it. This was my first time using Rent the Runway and I ordered this dress last-minute for this event after struggling to find something to wear, late on a Monday night, and it was at my door that Thursday afternoon - great service, and I will definitely rent again in the future! 

Overall this dress was really beautiful. Color and pattern included. Lots of complements. I have a small chest, but my hips and behind different story. I usually wear an 8, but I wore my backup size, a 10. The top of the 8 was PERFECT, but the bottom was so tight I could not move. It's the under layer of the dress that is very tight. Made for women with no hips, so if you are a big hip girl, go up a size. The top of the 10 was big on me, used a really good full bra. 

Rented this for my cousins bridal shower. I wore the 6 because the 4 was a bit tight at the bottom on my thighs but otherwise nice thick material and pretty pattern 

I rented this dress for a small reception I was throwing for my cousin. I'm usually a size 10 but I had to wear my backup size 12 because it ran small. I have a very large chest and the bigger dress still was very tight threw the bust area. Around the waist was a little snug also but then from the hips down it was big. The dress came spotless and the material was amazing. I would definitely rent this again. 

This is my first time renting a dress from RTR. I was hesitant at first because I'm really petite and my size is usually between 00 to 0 (XXS/XS). The dress fits fine. It has a little room in it but again I'm very petite. I'm able to move around comfortably and received lots of great compliments. I wish I can keep this dress forever! Definitely will rent another one when there's a special occasion.

Beyond gorgeous, but the inside lining is probably two sizes smaller than the dress.   The dress left indentations on my hips. Still, beautiful and worth the 'pain.'

The color was gorgeous, but that's about all the pros I can give . As everyone else stated the sleeves don't allow for any movement and the base layer is much tighter leaving no movement for your legs. Had to go up a size for thighs, which left me with an appearance of no waist (too large). I was very uncomfortable. 

The dress shape was very flattering.  I had it in a 2 and a 4, but went with the 4 to be a little more comfortable. There is no stretch to the fabric. I wore it to an outdoor wedding/indoor reception. Wasn't restrictive for dancing or sitting. All in all very easy to wear, didn't need any special undergarments and it has pockets!!!!

I was a part of a very colorful wedding party!  My friend, the bride, wanted us in a range of colors and patterns for her May wedding.  In a group of 7 bridesmaids with different colored dresses and patterns, my dress definitely still stood out!  I received so many compliments, I did not want to return the dress after the event.  I have a short torso and wide ribcage, so it is important to me to choose dresses that add a little bit more shape and narrows the waist.  I am 5'4" and about 135 lbs, and the size 6 fit like a glove. I highly recommend this dress!  I would purchase this in a heartbeat if I could.

Being that this skirt has a bit of a bubble to it, I thought it would be relaxed enough to fit my pear-shaped self, but the bottom was a little snug. I received this a little too late to exchange it, so I made it work, but sitting had to be done very carefully. I also expected it to be a bit longer on me than it was. Overall it was a very pretty dress that I received many compliments on, but if you are bigger on the bottom than on the top, I'd recommend you choose a different dress.

Didn't have a size up available for my date, I loved the color but couldn't sit down as the liner was so tight. Lots of compliments on the color as it matched the peony flowers


I really did love this dress, but I wouldn't recommend it for an event where you will be sitting alot (aka a wedding...). It didn't have any give, but it was beautiful and flattering. I loved the pockets and capped sleeves, and I'm 5'10" and it was the perfect length. It was true to size for me. Again, I would recommend this for a standing event (cocktail party, etc) but not an event where you will be seated for an extended period of time.

I rented the 4 & 6 and the 6 ended up fitting better in the hips.  It was a bit balloon-like in the top and midsection but overall was a fun dress.  Stunning design, fabric and colors! You can wear a regular bra and the cap sleeves were a great touch, not tight as other reviewers mentioned.  I wore with pearls and nude heels.  Definitely enjoyed my first time using RTR and would rent this one again.  

The texture on this dress is awesome and color is more vibrant than I was anticipating, but it was great. Wore this to a baptism and it perfectly conservative without being stuffy.

Tall girls note: this was much shorter than I thought it would be. Any taller and I wouldn't have felt comfortable wearing it to church.

This is a beautiful dress but just did not fit me properly. It added weight in my hips and made me look bigger than I am. I think it would be great for someone with smaller hips to give them more of a shape, but I felt self conscious in it. The fabric definitely does not give and is a bit itchy. I rented this for an all day event and did not think I'd be comfortable all day in it. 

This was a nice durable well made dress, fit very well! I LOVED it!
Was a little tight in the arm but nothing too prohibiting, only made me more aware of being lady like!

I usually wear a size 4 or 2, so I wore the size 4, and it was SUPER tight in my hips (I do have a larger butt due to working out) and my neck line(which is weird because I have pretty small shoulders).  Otherwise I LOVED this dress.  I would suggest getting your normal size, and then a size up just in case.
