Design was perfect for a wedding--fabric was heavy enough to keep me warm in the church but light enough that I could dance without dying of sweat. If you're larger-chested, size up. There's no give in the fabric and it was pretty tight around the chest (unfortunately the next size up went too far and was visibly too big for me).

First, a huge thank you to the staff at the Georgetown store--thanks to a long series of events that I won't bore you with, none of the dresses in my order fit. The staff at the store were super nice about it and helped me swap out those dresses for this one. The dress itself: it was really comfortable but fancy enough for a black-tie work event. Having the slightly shorter hem in the front meant I wasn't tripping over it all night, so I definitely recommend for petite ladies. However, the cut and fabric combined to really accentuate my hips. I'm well aware that's the largest part of my body, and I'm ok with that, but if that's not something you're comfortable with, maybe look elsewhere?

First, I have no idea why, but this dress read as navy blue and pink to me on the website, so I was a little surprised that it was actually black and pink. Either way, the style was perfect for a beach wedding. Unfortunately I wish it had fit a little better--the band around the chest was great, but I couldn't figure out how to adjust it. The 0 was a little too tight around the ribs and the 2 was a little too loose around the chest, so I went with the 2 and had a hard time dancing in it, worrying it was going to fall down. But the style made my waist look super tiny, so, tradeoffs :)

I ordered the 2 and 0 and the 2 was a little large in the chest (I'm a 34B, but I'm also pretty petite), so I wound up wearing the 0. The pockets were awesome and the dress was heavy enough that it didn't fly up in the wind or when dancing. The downside is that the weather was unseasonably warm, so even though it was a sleeveless dress I was still a little hot during the outdoor ceremony. But otherwise it was perfect.

I chaired a black-tie charity event and needed to stand out. This dress definitely did the trick! The color is gorgeous and the cut made my waist look super tiny. Also, the top holds you in so well you won't need a bra. There are some major negatives though: 1. The dress runs small in the top. If you have big boobs, go up a size (or two). It fit great over my hips though, which for me is normally the problem area. 2. The dress is VERY hard to zip up. Don't attempt it alone. 3. If you're under 5'4", this may not work for you. I'm 5'2", I wore 4" heels, and it was still several inches too long. I wound up using fashion tape to pull up the inner layer of the skirt. That mostly worked, but I still found myself holding the skirt up most of the night.

This dress was perfect for a pear-shaped woman like me. You might want to make sure you have another person around to help you get dressed--the zipper is pretty hard to do on your own. I didn't find it to be as low cut as some others have said, but I don't really have a large chest. Also, turns out this dress is pretty popular--two other woman showed up in the same dress but in different colors! (I'm the one in navy blue.)

The fit was true to size--I carry all my weight in my hips and thighs, so I can generally go down a size on dresses that are fitted in the waist. I was invited to a dinner for the dean of my law school and was a little unsure about what the "business" dress code meant; this dress ended up being perfect. I probably could have used slightly fancier accessories, but I definitely wasn't underdressed.
